COB
Just popped up on my news assault ecosystem that Joe Burrow was a model in the Vogue fashion show in Paris today. I’m impressed, he’s raising his profile in smart ways. I’m a real man so I painted part of my screened in porch today.
ArmyBengal
COB doing man shit. Respect !!
AMPHAR
I assume Joe did not pick out his outfits. There would be no greater statement in how the world of fashion is fake, IF the fashion starts following his pre-game attires. MUGATU - Joe Burrow is so hot right NOW!
ArmyBengal
I think that 99.9% of the time I see a picture of Burrow and the way he dresses, I think he looks like a clown. Not that I give a shit what he looks like, as long as he wins on game day, but just saying is all. Also, this is coming from a 54 year old man whose fashion sense tops out at Under Armour underwear. ArmyBengal
I saw that write as well and hope that bears fruit for the both of them. Maybe Taylor telling Yoshi he had to get much better to stick in the league, was his attempt to motivate him though. He was only targeted 25 times last year and caught the ball 60% of the time. That slightly lower than both Chase and Higgins. Of those 15 receptions, 4 were for TD’s and 11 were for 1st downs. You could certainly argue that had his targets increased those numbers could have increased. You could also argue the opposite but you get my point. I love Yoshi but I still don’t think he’s in a position to do more this year than continue working his craft. Ja’Marr, Higgins, the RB’s and even Gisicki and other slot WR’s are going to get the majority of the targets. Minus an injury to either Chase or Higgins, I don’t see this being his “break out” year. I do still expect him to make plays when given the opportunity and think he makes the WR depth a plus for the team. Bigger problems than that to have. COB
Arby’s: “we deep fried this improbable item for you, we’re quirky, enjoy. You: “But I just wanted…” Arby’s: Interrupts: “ok, you asked for it, you got it. Fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich on a pretzel bun. We have the meats!” You: “Fried what now..,” Arby’s: interrupts: “Here’s a milkshake with whipped cream and instead of a lid enjoy this plastic miniature spaceman helmet on your shake.” You: “can I get it without the whipped cre?” Arby’s: Interrupts:“We fried the whipped cream. It’s a fried whipped cream shake with a spaceman helmet. Enjoy. Were quirky.” You: “I don’t want any of that. I’ll have a roast beef sandw….” Arby’s: Interrupts: “I know what you’re thinking, but it’s not groundhog, it’s actual beef. We have the meats! We fried your roast beef sandwich, encased it in a giant onion ring, put chocolate chips on it and served it with a naked picture of your middle school crush who you haven’t seen in 40 years.” You: “Arlene Mathis? She’s like 55 years old!” Arby’s: “Please pull forward by the door, we’ll bring everything out to you.”
AMPHAR
Arbys biggest mistakes: 1. Removing the slicer. Blame Jersey Mikes, I don't know what it is but people love watching their meat being sliced. I guess you have to take Subway at its word because they now have signs indicating the meat is being freshly sliced in the back room. 2. The Italian Sub. Why would you take that off the menu? Subway still makes the spicy Italian although its not listed anywhere. This void led to the rise of Jimmys Johns!

After a hedge trimming mishap yesterday where I damn near sliced my finger off, I can attest that had that been my meat instead of my finger, I might have passed out and fell off the damn ladder. I guess it depends on what you define a "Breakout year". A healthy roster will make it tough for an alternate pass catcher like Yoshi individually top Boyd's numbers. You automatically know Chase/Higgins and some RB suck up 98% of snaps when healthy. That leaves 2 spots. Sample is going to suck up 40% of a games snap in some form of blocking scheme. I'd imagine "2 TEs" formations will increase with Gesicki basically acting as 3rd WR with TE designation. If they remain healthy, Burrow is going to need to push the snaps up to around 67-70 game for player like Yoshi wanting to put up enough snaps for people to declare "break out" year. The number of times they snap the ball also falls greatly on the O-line to remove a significant portion of negative plays they've been know to create. ArmyBengal
On 1/23/2024 at 9:52 PM, HoosierCat said: So to continue an off-topic topic from December, Oscar nominations are out and Godzilla Minus One has been nominated in the visual effects category. It’s the first time in the 70-year, 38-film history of the Godzilla franchise that a Godzilla film has been nominated for an Academy Award. Interestingly, director Takashi Yamazaki, who started as an effects guy, led the effects team in addition to directing the movie, so he is the first director to be nominated for the vfx Oscar since Stanley Kubrick in 1968 for 2001: A Space Odyssey. Pretty good company imho. The film is set to end its U.S. run Feb. 1. For its last hurrah starting this Friday, a new black and white version, Godzilla Minus One Minus Color, is rolling out. If you haven’t caught it yet, grab a ticket! Ok, I can forgive some of the older Godzilla movies due to some of the more recent ones out there. Just watched Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. Loved it !! You have to know what you are getting into with this one, but I was entertained for a full two hours. Nice…
ArmyBengal
Have no idea what show Burrow appeared on, but this shit was hilarious. A Steelers fan (i'm assumed he's the host), wearing a TJ Watt shirt says to Burrow: "If you were to predict right now the AFC North (you can put Bengals first), how do you think the other three fall?" To which Burrow quickly responds: "Bengals first and then I don't care !!" So cool and yet so savage at the same time. Love this kid !! 1
