COB
Let the sun go down on you like King Harold at the battle of Hastings — fighting gloriously. Maybe a loser but what a loser! Greater in defeat than the conqueror. Certainly not a coward that rusted out lurking in his tent. Zora Neale Hurston
ArmyBengal
Hate when parallels are drawn between sports and war. Still love you COB !!

He sends his players out every week. But he stays in his tent. I mean the many ways he could help them - hire a qualified GM, use a modern fiscal approach to obtaining and shuffling players, get a capoligist, get more scouts, improve the facilities like build an indoor practice facility. He won’t do any of that stuff. He’s letting his tenure wind down as his organization becomes the living manifestation of 30 years of his management style. Mike’s been watching from his tent for a long time as the other owners competed. Here we are. Also, hope I didn’t offend you too much with that quote. Sports isn’t war, understood.
ArmyBengal
Not offended in the least. Not my style to play victim. Just don’t like hearing players especially refer to things of that nature as it’s really not even a little similar. I certainly get your point as well !!! All good brother !!! ArmyBengal
The good people of London are in for a treat this weekend. One team that made it to the Super Bowl last year and another team that, well, um.... Disregard.
ArmyBengal
So Glenn was left home instead of traveling with the team. Still with that concussion designation. This dude....
volcom69
This dude.........is done. I think when they get back he will be gone. I would be surprised if he was still on the team. I don’t know what’s wrong with this guy.
COB
If they actually do cut him, I’m pretty sure that he’ll have a miraculous recover as soon as another team signs him.

I’ve never been to Europe, and I thought about a trip that would incorporate this game. I live in Scotland and never once did I contemplate this game (nor the Redskins game a couple of years ago). Apart from the cost (a weekend in London = a week in Cincy) I don't want to be surrounded by fans wearing Seahawks, Patriots, Bears. 49ers, Cowboys, Steelers etc jersey at the game. It's a whole circus aimed at eventually getting a team into London to open up advertising revenue on British TV networks. Brits are very territorial - that's why for such a small place England has 92 soccer teams in the League ! Fans like to support their team week in week out but an NFL venture in London will generally be a "once a season event" for fans outside of the capital. Interest/connection to the team will die. It's just the way we Brits are. A "UK/British" gridiron team will run out of steam and a "London centric" team will soon fall flat when outside of London no-one cares about the "London team" and the said Seahawks, Patriots, Bears. 49ers, Cowboys, Steelers can't relate to it. Scottish Claymores. London Monarchs (NFL Europe teams) both died a death. I can't see anything that will make a new "British Bulldogs" (or whatever they call it) team making the transition. AMPHAR
I went to London twice. 2 years a part. From my prospective interest in the NFL grew greatly. I saw NFL jerseys for sale when I hadn’t before. Bar tenders recognized the logos of the Bengals pull over I was wearing when they previously didn’t. Had to really search to find a spot to watch the game. Still had to search but not as much as the time before; a casino/strip club had taken its “champagne rooms” and turned them into viewing rooms for games. Each room had a particular game. This was 2015 Seattle vs Bengals at home. It was a blast. Some London based Bengals fans but most London based fans were for other teams. I couldn’t think of a good business reason to go back the next year when the Bengals played the Skins. I don’t know if a franchise would survive over there or not but interest from my perspective was growing.
ShulaSteakhouse
I wonder if any of the Glenn business has to do with them drafting Jonah and re-signing Hart, and moving him to guard. I don't know, said he "didn't feel good at practice, so he stayed home" according to Taylor. Weird.
ArmyBengal
I recall when that decision was made that everything pointed to him being a pro about it and wanting to help Jonah. That doesn’t mean he wasn’t pissed about it, but he did have a clear path back to the starters role when Jonah went down. Seems he had every opportunity to give them reasons to keep him there even if Jonah happened to return this season. I see it as one of two things, he’s either seriously fucked up from this concussion and should consider retirement or he’s a lazy bitch milking a situation for the money. Either way we lose again... ArmyBengal
I hope Whitworth gets a big kick out of his team kicking the shit out of the Bengals today. He’s earned the laugh he’s going to get watching this team today.
COB
Ok, how many ways can the Bengals screw their own fans? Well, I get to watch them get killed today, and in addition to that, Bates just knocked my main fantasy receiver, Brandon Cooks from the Rams, out of the game. Thanks Bengals!
