Will go down as the greatest super bowl ever.  I let my son, inexplicably the biggest Patriots fan in a 5 county area, stay up and watch the whole thing as well.  

He actually asked me, "Do you think the Bengals will win a Super Bowl in your lifetime?"  

Absolutely has to be the biggest choke job ever in a Super Bowl.  Thought they had it won and quit playing.

I actually enjoyed different portions of the Super Bowl for different reasons.
I loved the first half and seeing the Falcons jump up on the Patriots, seemingly on the easy path to a championship.
However, even though I don't like the Pats, as a football fan it was amazing to watch Brady and co. make the comeback and take it to overtime.
Coming away with the win on the first possession TD ??  Brady truly was otherworldly at that point.  Hate or love him, he's the best.

I also really enjoyed the awkward exchange between Kraft and Goodell.
Hearing him get booed off the Super Bowl stage was more amusing than almost anything I've seen in a while.

The only thing that has come close was hearing my 5 year old tell my wife the other day in a fit of hunger:
"GO GET ME SOME F*CKING COOKIES !!!"
It took all I had to keep from busting into laughter while I scolded him.  Priceless.

lol,  kids and I kinda had the same conversation.     They also inquired if I thought I'd be around for Superbowl 100.

Quite an oddity for sure about this Superbowl.   The whole primetime regular season just seemed so boring, stale, dull.   The playoffs felt that way too.   The lead up to the Superbowl was about as stale as ever.    Then bam!  Greatest Superbowl EVA!

I don't think the question is "will the Bengals win a Super Bowl in your lifetime?", but instead it's "will the Bengals win a Super Bowl while anyone alive still gives a shit about the NFL or Super Bowls?".

I think I will still give a sh*t if the Bengals make it to and happen to win a Super Bowl in my lifetime.
However, it will probably be once I've turned into a fair weather fan, don't know the players and only tuned in for the big game.
You know, the season after Cincinnati tells them to go f*ck themselves on a new stadium deal and they became the San Diego Bengals.

I think I'm well along the way to fair-weather. Once upon a time my Sundays were wall-to-wall football. Now I listen to the Bengals game and that's about it. I think I actually watched like 2 games this year. And I'll probably stop even that next year because it's not worth $100 a year for gamepass anymore.

It's not that I don't want them to win or don't care. I'm just tired of wasting time and money on a team that seems less interested in winning than I am.

It's all of you guys that keep me coming back and being active here, not the Bengals.

Damn right, I think this year was the last year I'm spending 99 dollars on Game Pass. Not worth it anymore!

Truly unbelievable Super Bowl. The Falcons would have held on to win. It the Pats just kept making big play after big play.  I thought it was a wonderful game if situational football.  The talent of the Pats offense eventually overtook the Falcons D. 

Agree with Army that no one can question this Dynasty and Brady and Bill's role in it.  

It is the dream every fan has for their team.  Maybe it starts next year for Cincy.  ;)

I figure as long as I still attend a game here and there, know the players, and come here everyday to discuss, then I'm not fair weathered.

The only game I will probably go to next year is the Texans game, but that will be due to my son being a Texans fan.
I'm planning a trip with my son down to Austin this fall to catch a Longhorns game.
Since he was born in Texas, all he talks about is going to college at UT.  Figure I would show him around the joint and catch a game.

I suspect if things don't take a drastic turn within the next 2-3 years, I will pretty much tune out all things Bengals.
It's just not worth the time and money investment anymore. 
Agree with Hoosier, I just like coming here and seeing what you clowns have to say.

Yeah it's crazy to think "The Pats" were once a Cincinnati type franchise and now have left a wake of dominance in an era of football that was once proclaimed to the end of dynasties.

You leave one slight crack in the door and that team will get through it and get a win.  It's incredible.

Yeah, he was born in San Antonio when I was still in the Army.  Since about age 5, he's only about Texas teams (Texans, Spurs, Longhorns, etc)
I just figured we spend a nice weekend down there, hit up San Antonio, Ft. Hood (where his old man was stationed), Austin, and catch the game.
I'm planning for October 7th.  I think they play Kansas St.  Anyway, he's off school that Monday, so we will have some more time.
I lived in Texas for 11 years and agree, great town !!!

They've also had consistently good coaching (not just BB) and ownership that lets the football people run the show.

It also helps that they play in one of the lamest divisions in the league. Since Brady was drafted in 2000, the Fins have had 5 winning seasons (three of which came in 2000-2004), and the Bills have had a whole 2 winning seasons (both 9-7). Only the Jets have offered even token resistance, with 9 winning seasons since 2000, but just one of those has come in the last six seasons (2015) and it wasn't good enough to get them into the postseason.

Compare that to Cincy. The Bengals spent basically two decades looking for a QB. There were a couple blips, like Boomer's brief return in the 90s, and Palmer's first couple of years, but Andy's the closest they've come to a franchise QB since Esiason's heydey. And while I like Andy he's not Brady (not that anyone is,just saying).

In Cincy, coaching gets rewarded for not developing players, bad in-game decisions and annual playoff breakdowns with contract extensions. Meddling by ownership is routine, and the FO puts handcuffs on itself in FA and contract negotiations.

And finally, Cincy has to play in a division with perennial playoff contenders Pittsburgh and Baltimore, who have had a combined 5 losing seasons and won a combined four Lombardis since 2000.

The Brady/Pats era started only 2 seasons prior to the Bengals Marvin Lewis era, YIKES!

It's just a crazy run the Brady/Pats era is 16 seasons.   11 of those seasons the Pats have made the Conference Championship.   Winning 7.   4 of the wins came against Steelers/Ravens.

It really is incredible to think the Pats have beaten the Steelers, Ravens and Colts a combined 6 times in the AFC Championship game, lol.   That's just a who's who of the AFC in the 00s.
