TJJackson Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 WR with speed and return ability Pass rushing DT Center Kicker interior OL - prefer raw superb athlete over experienced/polished guy lacking athleticism Cover S, return skills a big plus Quote
Stripes Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 I don't give a crap about needs from the 4th round onward. Find impact players at any position and I'm good. I do think DT is a hole, but it's too late to get a reliable fix for that without just getting lucky. Quote

We'll see. Quote
HoosierCat Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 What I look for here are guys like the Ravens just took, a corner with all the skills and production but who drops because of height and size. IIRC that was the knock on Geno, he fell in part because his physical measurables weren't ideal. So look for guys who produced but lack ideal measurables. If they can perfect technique to offset that like Geno did they can break out. Quote

The funny thing about Geno was that his knock was his lack of height but it's his lack of height that allows him to get incredible leverage. He's strong and compact. You could see that from the first preseason game in 2010 that he was going to be a great player. Quote
HoosierCat Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Yup. Which is why I never got the obsession over his height but can't complain about the results. Quote
Wraith Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Billings is still there but at this point there has to be giant red flags keeping him off draft boards. I really like the William and Mary safety Houston-Carson. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 I like the S from W & M also. Looks like he has the tools. Quote
Wraith Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 A brief search hasn'the indicated anything on Billings other than height so this might be another Genoa thing I would have thought teams would have learned their lessons from Aaron Donald and Geno. Quote
cincyhokie Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Well, the Saints just traded up. So they obviously think there's someone there they want that the Bengals want as well. Quote
TJJackson Posted April 30, 2016 Author Report Posted April 30, 2016 5th round Gimme the BPA (valuing athletic ability and smarts over experience at this point) of the following, in no particular order Interior lineman, preferably one who can play center, prefer pass blocking talent to run blocking talent Speed WR with return ability Coverage S preferably with return ability Kicker Quote
Wraith Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 I want DeAndre Houston-Carson the S from William and Mary or Keyarris Garrett from Tulsa. You also have Cash from Duke, Kearse from Clemson, and Powell from OSU...I think this is Safety. Quote

Wraith Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 True very happy with Westerman....no doubt Quote
Wraith Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Targets for the sixth would be aforementioned Safeties, Scooby-Doo Wright, Garrett, or Higgins from Colorado State. Another guy I like is my guy from IU Latham DE. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Cody Core WR, Boeringer WR, Houston Carson S Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Wow the NFL website draft tracker has RB and QB listed as some of our needs, WTF? Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted April 30, 2016 Report Posted April 30, 2016 Zimmer and the Vikings draft the first European born player ever for the NFL. Pretty cool. I thought Stenerud might have held that title, or maybe he wasn't drafted. Quote
