Unless you are a Seahawks fan, it's a mighty boring Super Bowl.

Going to get a head start on some sleep.

Oh yeah, amazing what a stellar defense can do for you huh ??

Dalton doesn't need any more weapons.

Great points. 4th round 2nd year QB. Very stout defense. Remember that 1st round Bruce Irvin pick that got the Seahawks a lot of flack? Regardless of what he has done, that team has a vision and a system.

I think Wilson was a 3rd rounder, but point taken.

Something else that helps him and the offense ??

A dedicated running game with a sound offensive line.

I started off watching the game, but didn't get through the first quarter (neither did the Broncos) before something came up.

I got back to it right at the end of the first half. I watched the halftime show (meh) and after the kick return, I pretty much called it.

On the night, I enjoyed some good food, a few cold beverages, and a nice time with the family at the house.

I got to bed early and that is always a plus.

I said it before and will say it again. I didn't really care who won.

It's nice to see a team win their first championship, so that is cool.

Maybe some day before I die, the Bengals might get there.

I called it a game at 22-0. Just goes to show that there's still some life left in the old adage that offense wins games, defense wins championships.

Congrats to Clint McDonald, he and his fellow Seattle defenders earned every carat of those rings they'll be getting.

Wow. It's easy to see how emotional reactions get in the way of thinking. He'll come back down to earth. That "wish he was a Browns fan" is pure insanity.

I'll admit that I was a bit pissed after the playoff loss. Dalton isn't the key to greatness for this team, nor is he the ill that will keep them down.

(I would still like to see them shake up the mentality of "play it safe" and with the Hue hiring I think that will change some. I like the Guenther hiring, as well. The key, in my eyes, is improve the O-line, solidify the defense and the pass rush. These are things that can be addressed in one season. We'll see if it happens.)

I'll say this much about the game, or at least what I saw of it since I bailed at 22-0: Denver reminded me very strongly of Cincy. On offense, they had absolutely no rhythm. Denver's o-line was dominated and as a result Manning was constantly under pressure. There was no room to run. Peyton couldn't hit anyone deep and Seattle's D smothered all the quick outs and short passes designed to get YAC (a big feature of our O). On defense I didn't think the Broncos were playing all that badly. They held them to FGs early despite horrible field position, but struggled to get off the field on third downs and failed to make any big plays. You could write pretty much the same sentence for the Bengals' D.

I am still not at all happy that the Bengals lost to SD. But if had been them out there last night instead of Denver, they would have been stomped flat, too.

The only difference in my opinion is I don't believe the Bengals would have given up 43 points. Denver's defense has been anemic all year. Look at what the SF defense did to the Seahawks!

What I found insteresting is how close the Bengals are to the Seahawks from a defensive personnel perspective.

Another couple of impact DBs and an edge rusher and we are in the same boat...or better.

Clinton-Dix in the First, the OLB from BYU in the second (Kyle Van Noy) and grab Stanley Jean Baptist from Nebraska in the third.

Pair these guys with Nelson, iLoka, Hall, Newman, Jones, Kirkpatrick and the LBing corp of Lamur, Harrison, Maualuga, Burfict, and Rey? With our DLine....even if MJ leaves....watch out.
