Question. Do the WC teams automatically receive 5 and 6 seeds? If so does that mean that KC will play away even though their record may be better?

Yep. Either you win your division or you are on the road. Play a ridiculously weak schedule like KC, don't beat Denver in 2 tries, and then don't beat anyone else of quality, and you end up as a WC.

Colts fans seem pretty bitter.

Jeff Tripplet, gifting Cincy with a touchdown, “big Mo” after a great goal line stand by the Colts at the end of the first half a couple of weeks ago and perhaps the tie beaker vs. Colts, is being shown as affecting the playoff seeding! And he still has a job!

Yea ok, well the Colts had quite a few chances to stop them considering they put up over 40 on them, and they didnt. Bad call yes, but it had no affect on the outcome of the game or the playoff seeding. Whatever, anyway just to say the bengals suck and shouldn't be where they are!

Not to mention the calls that we had go against us in the Miami game AND the Huber no call in the Pittsburgh game. Give us back the Jones touchdown and the win in Miami, and we'll take away one touchdown in the Colts game and we would still clobbering you and also would have the 2nd seed!

Boo Hoo! Suck it up!

, it would be maybe the upset of the year. I just can't see Brady letting it happen.

I can't see the officials who seem to take orders from Brady letting it happen.

He demands calls from the officials, and the only way I can describe his behavior is that it has an, "Don't you know who I am?" quality to it.

Toss in the signal taping by his team and it provides the trifecta of good reasons to despise the jackass. The whiny cry-baby moniker is well earned and the Pats have jumped the Cowboys for second place on my most hated NFL teams list. If he were just a cry-baby, it would be bad enough, but watching officials spoon feed him really grinds my gears.

I've never seen another QB with that kind of power. Not even Peyton....

You f**king live in Detroit. The Lions missing the playoffs is the least of your problems.

That guy crying about getting playoff tickets in the mail should just be thankful his mailman can still negotiate the gauntlet of pit bulls, stray bullets, and decomposing bodies to get to his front porch to even deliver the mail.

I'd like to know how many of this year's playoff teams also qualified in 2011 and 2012. Maybe New England and the Ravens? That's probably about it.

With the qualifier that these are 2013 playoff teams as things stand now:

Cincinnati

New England

Baltimore

Denver

San Francisco

Forgot about the Tebow-train's win over the Squeals. Didn't even think of SF. Still a short list.

They failed to mention the scenario for the Bengals getting the No. 1 seed if the top four end up tied at 11-5. http://www.nfl.com/n...ign=Twitter_atl

pretty unrealistic chance with broncos finishing the season at Texans/Oakland.

Houston gave Denver a game for a little while but Manning was just too much.

The Bengals are now 1 of 3 teams as the only teams making playoffs at least four of last five seasons, joining Patriots and Colts. The Ravens, Packers and Saints have a chance this weekend.

Now here's a real playoff picture:

But according to their head coach, their season wasn't a failure!

Yesterday, one of the talking heads said how can you go from a leading coach of the year candidate at mid-season to probably getting fired at years end.

Aikman was pretty good at it.
