HoosierCat Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Ruh-roh, TJ. The forecasters have reversed course on that dry cloudy day. Latest prediction is for a high of 33, 11 mph winds and a 60% chance of everyone's favorite form of precip, "wintry mix"! Sounds like a bad day to be a dome team though... Quote
TJJackson Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 Fine by meI live in Cincinnati -- been there and done that hundreds of timesHowever, I worry that Walter's warm and fuzzy feeling dooms us. He needs to get back to being all negative. If we lose, it is all Walter's fault Grrrrrr and sh!t Quote
cincyhokie Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 You know what we need? A win this weekend, a loss by the Ravens in Detroit the next weekend and then a division clinching win ON SUNDAY NIGHT in Pittsburgh! Quote

Dome team in cold, depleted o-line, we're 5-0 at home, Andy's due, they're not the veteran group that Cincy is. I'll take all of the blame if they lose. It will be my fault. BUT, when they win. My Bengal expertise MUST be acknowledged Mr. Jackson. Quote
TJJackson Posted December 4, 2013 Author Report Posted December 4, 2013 no no no....if we win, it will be because my little brother (probably somewhat inebriated) and I (designated driver and sober as a stone) teamed up to ensure that Luck and Company couldn't hear sh!t in the huddle, at the cost of the use of our vocal cords for a week or so thereafter :-) Quote
HoosierCat Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Today's practice report via Reedy:DNP: Zeitler (foot); LIM: Burfict (ankle), Eifert (knee), Green (groin), Hawkins (hamstring), A.Jones (hip), Whitworth (calf) Quote

membengal Posted December 4, 2013 Report Posted December 4, 2013 Huh, tj, my brother and I are driving over from Baltimore for the game this weekend too. And apparently driving back after the game through a winter storm. Quote

COB Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 I will be at this game due to my little brother's generosity In the middle of one of the endzones, not sure which one.....field goals will be headed right at usI predict a Bengals win (my brother and I will ensure Luck and company cannot hear a thing, no matter that I wont be able to speak for a week thereafter) and am setting the over/under for number of beers I have to buy for my brother at 3Have a blast and be the 12th man. kingwilly Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 I think the Bengals D ruins Luck's day. They already have a hard time protecting Luck, and he lacks weapons and really has no run game. For the Bengals O, I'm eager to see how they shuffle the line, and its impact on run and pass blocking. Also, keen to see the gameplan for the Colts weak D. Just run it down their throat would be my suggestion, and get Peerman and Burkhead in the mix (fresh legs). I think they can also chunk the Colts with Eifert and Gresham. I don't want Dalton throwing 40 times. Maybe 25-30 passes. 30-40 runs. Quote

ArmyBengal Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 Everyone seems to be in favor of Whit staying inside at the Guard spot, but will he ??I really hope this isn't another situation where they get cute in making this decision. You know Whit is a beast inside, you know he likes doing it, you know it works. On a cold crappy day against a dome team with run defense issues, what's to think about ??Hey Colts, this is our lineup and we are going to stick this ball in your backside all game long.Try to stop us. Lets play to our strengths where we ARE strong and plan/scheme/prepare our weaker areas to compete as necessary. I can't see the benefit in being average across the board, lets be strong where we're strong and defy the Colts to exploit our weaker areas if they can. Quote

kingwilly Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 It's interesting to see the media kind of all wake up to the struggles of Kapernick, Luck and RG3. After 18 months of gloss and gush, reality is hitting for these guys. All the Dalton bashing, most justified, can get be quieted if the Benglas go on a run (and Dalton does not F up). Quote
volcom69 Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 Ill be pissed if they change up the o-line this week! Are they blind, did they not see how much better the line looked last week, especially the run game. Did they not see how much fun Whit was having mulling people over! I hope this is not a money issue, do what's best for the team. Not a hard choice in my mind. Quote
