Oddly enough, the last time the Bengals and Bills played was in Dalton's rookie season.

He led the team to a come from behind win, driving his team downfield with under two minutes on the clock to set up the winning field goal.

You'd think he wasn't capable of doing that, but damned if that game didn't really happen.

He was the first Bengals QB to beat the Bills in over a 10 year span at that point.

He used his legs to get out of trouble. Sorry I keep bringing it up, I just remember him at TCU, at the rose bowl running the ball, running the option. I just think there would be less sacks, if he could run out of trouble, or even more boot legs.

Yes that was an awesome game, after that game I thought Dalton was a keeper.

I couldn't remember any talk about Dalton's rushing ability, so I went back to look during his time at TCU.

Year Att Yds Avg Lg TD's

Is he fast like those other guys, no but I remember watching him escape from the pocket making moves with his to run or pass. I just often wondered why he stopped doing that here. I always thought it could help. He did it last week some which helped, and I'm hoping to see it a little more.

I really think this team needs to get back to running the ball a lot more, no more 40-50 throwing in these games. Balenced offense always seems to be a winner for this team.

From what I read, Dalton ran a 4.87 in the 40, so no he's not the fastest dude on earth, but last week showed that plays can be created for him to run for a 7-8 yard (if not more) gain. I would like to see them do more of that if for no other reason than to give the defense something else to consider.

I agree with not wanting to see Dalton throw the ball 40+ times a game. Last week and that balance was great to see.

Example MLXVIII of why Cincy sports media sucks.

Really? :thumbsdown:/>/>/> What's next? "Is a major season-ending injury brewing?"

A bunch of new guys covering kicks on teams? I've got the vapors, get me to my fainting couch.

It's not rocket science. Stay in your lane and try not to get totally destroyed by your blocker and you'll be ok. Agree that article is a non-article, there's just nothing there.
