Still early in the season but just don't want to go 0-2.Me neither. And I do think they will win, and win convincingly. That said, the AFCN looks so weak right now that it might not take more than 8 or 9 wins to take the division. princeton
if I had to pick which program is more likely to come out flat, or MNF-shy, and wind up 0-2, it'd be the Bengals. I'd rather be underdog in this game. But I do like all of the talk about "one win in last 10 home games vs. Steelers." that's an embarrassment.. keep it coming. ArmyBengal
Yep, I can't say the AFCN looks anywhere as good as they were recently.Watching that Ravens/Browns game yesterday was painful. I had more fun falling down my steps, getting a concussion, and bruising my shoulder. That being said, any guesses to the score ?? I'll throw out there:Bengals- 27Steelers-
GapControl
Maybe i am thinking of ethan kilmer... chris perry pollack tab perry all guys that had terrible injuries. Yeah not-my-weed simpson was a huge disappointment. They had hyped him up after the draft. Housh was hurt a lot comingout of the draft. Maybe i am remembering antwan odom. If they lose I'll probably break something. I know it's fashionable to predict a close game and even I called it a dogfight earlier. But the Steelers and Bengals were pretty evenly matched last year and both teams have gone in opposite directions since. Last time Pitt was at PBS Mike Wallace and Heath Miller bit us for 105 yards and a TD. Both are not on the field tonight. The Steelers o-line is a mess and they are already playing musical LBs in an attempt to replace Harrison. The Bengals have not been in a better position to bitch-stomp Pittsburgh in years. I don't know about "must win" but this is a huge opportunity for a statement game. And they need to make it.
Stripes
Vegas likes the Bengals big too, to the tune of making them 7 - 7.5 point favorites. I've definitely never seen a spread like that before against Pittsburgh.I don't think an ass kicking is terribly likely, but obviously I would welcome it. The pass rush has to be much more effective than it was in Chicago, and Andy can't s**t the bed.
volcom69
This team has just as much talent on offense as any good team, there is no reason they can't put over 20/30 points a game. If the defense gets it togther and stops making mental errors, and they can hold teams under 20 like last year, they should win a lot of games. It has to start tonight, Dalton usually has bad games against the Steelers, that needs to end tonight. I'm hoping tonight will be a big confident builder for the rest of the season. For as long as I can remember you throw out everything with Bengals-Steelers. Typically, it doesn't matter how the teams are playing going into the game, but this game just seems different. It is an opportunity tonight, and something tells me this team is finally ready to climb that final step.

If not, he deserves to be at/near the top of any list of Bengals who coasted their way to millions. Also, Ben Utecht who recently won just south of $1 million from the team in a concussion lawsuit. And if they show an older picture with him in shorts next to Lippy with his front-butt, you have to drink the bar dry AND then go smoke 8 pounds of weed. HoosierCat
Apropos of nothing, just to fill the space between now and kickoff, I present the saddest paragraph in sports you will read all week, courtesy of the espn Browns blog.Another starting quarterback? Brandon Weeden left in the fourth quarter with an injured thumb on his throwing hand and didn't return. Wearing a brace on his hand, Weeden told reporters after the game he wasn't sure whether he could play Sunday at the Minnesota Vikings. If he can't, Jason Campbell would become the 19th starting quarterback for the Browns since they returned to the NFL in 1999. Here's the list of Browns quarterbacks who have made at least one start: Tim Couch, Ty Detmer, Doug Pederson, Spergon Wynn, Kelly Holcomb, Jeff Garcia, Luke McCown, Trent Dilfer, Charlie Frye, Derek Anderson, Brady Quinn, Ken Dorsey, Bruce Gradkowski, Jake Delhomme, Colt McCoy, Seneca Wallace, Thad Lewis and Weeden. Wow. I mean, wow. And I thought the Bengals had it bad at QB in the 90s.

COB
Traveling tonight, so I've got the game DVR'd. Really hoping our guys can handle the spotlight, and the extra wait over the weekend. If there are any Bengals fans reading this in the Syracuse Hancock International Airport, please come to Gate 22 right now so you can listen to me weave a verbal tapestry of loathing, resentment, and rage, as we discuss how much we hate the Steelers.
