HoosierCat Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Get Better Together.Hmmm. I'm underwhelmed. Quote
TJJackson Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 well at least you're doing your job, Joisey Quote
HoosierCat Posted April 15, 2013 Author Report Posted April 15, 2013 Hey, someone has to keep you homers honest. My question is, if they do sign Harrison, is there time to change the slogan to "Kiss My A**, Pittsburgh"?Not only would it look good on Harrison but I bet it'd sell a lot better in the pro shop... ArmyBengal Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 "Get Better Together"Sounds like a bad R&B song from the 70's.Hoosier, I like your suggestion better !!! Quote
skyline Posted April 15, 2013 Report Posted April 15, 2013 Yeah, I'm not a fan of the t-shirt slogans in general, but this one is especially bad. Quote
membengal Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 They ignored my entry again."T-shirt slogans are the stupid. We should stop doing it." Quote
Scottishbengal Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 This is lame .... they could've keep the ethos of the slogan and had something like "achieve through unity" or "succeed together" or "all for one and one for all !"I have to agree with Membengal - T-shirt slogans suck arse Quote
COB Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 My slogan was rejected: "Something About An Oxcart". Quote
COB Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Make them wear t-shirts that, until Andre signs, read, "That's A Lot of Money, Alvin". Quote
COB Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 "This Shirt Sponsored by 'DumbassWebsite.com'" Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 I hate these t-shirts as well and while the words might have come flying out of AJ's mouth, they weren't meant as a call to arms either.Just a plain generic comment while answering a question that I can't envision as being a real motivator."Hey AJ how did you spend your offseason ?""I had some stomach issues after eating mexican once, but I worked it out."T-Shirt slogan ??"Just work it out" Quote
HoosierCat Posted April 16, 2013 Author Report Posted April 16, 2013 How about:"The Ravens Won The Super Bowl and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt. Thanks Mike Brown You Cheap SOB!"They'd sell a million of 'em! Quote
Scottishbengal Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 "Playoffs Jan 2014 ...... we have a problem ....Houston" Quote
TJJackson Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Pumpkin asked me to remind ya'all: You have no idea how hard it is to produce a really good tee shirt slogan Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted April 16, 2013 Report Posted April 16, 2013 Get Better Together.Hmmm. I'm underwhelmed. :P/>It's times like these that I miss the input of HOF. This one sounds like they're going to rehab or something.... Quote
Kazkal Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 I'll believe and buy a lets get better togather Tshirt if they resign bigdre or resign geno and mj before start of the season Quote
jjakq27 Posted April 17, 2013 Report Posted April 17, 2013 Sounds like a Bob Marley inspired slogan..."Let's get together and feel alright...." Quote
HoosierCat Posted June 12, 2013 Author Report Posted June 12, 2013 Good news! Apparently "Get Better Together" was a flop. Now, Marvin is searching for a new t-shirt sloganCINCINNATI -- Each year, Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis comes up with a slogan to put on T-shirts for his players. He hasn't found the right one yet for this season, and he wants it to reflect the attitude of the team."I've got it," Lewis said. "I just can't figure out how to make it catchy.”My suggestion, after spending time in the locker room for the first day of mandatory minicamp, is simply "It's Time." This may not be as memorable or flashy as Lewis would like, but it epitomizes the sentiment of a young, talented and hungry team that wants more. Quote
membengal Posted June 12, 2013 Report Posted June 12, 2013 Sweet jeebus Marvin, stop with the f**king Tshirt slogans. Lame as ever. Quote
jjakq27 Posted June 15, 2013 Report Posted June 15, 2013 "Get Better Together"Sounds like a bad R&B song from the 70's.Hoosier, I like your suggestion better !!!James Brown's late-60's tune, "There Was a Time" has these lyrics in the middle of the song. "Down thereWe have a good timeWe don't talk, haWe all get togetherAny type of weatherThen we do the camel walk, oww"Maybe this year's slogan should just be "Camel Walk"./>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjcii4QKpo8 Quote
HoosierCat Posted June 15, 2013 Author Report Posted June 15, 2013 "Do the Camel Walk"Works for me! Quote
COB Posted June 17, 2013 Report Posted June 17, 2013 "I went to Bengals training camp and all I got was this lousy t-shirt (and a life destroying case of chronic traumatic encephalopathy)" Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 31, 2013 Author Report Posted July 31, 2013 So Hensley finally published his "Camp Confidential," which contains almost -- almost! -- nothing you didn't already know if you were paying even a bit of attention to the team. But Jamieson did let slip one thing I hadn't seen.Yes, it's this year's camp t-shirt slogan, which is (drum roll, please)...This year, the orange letters on the black shirt read: "Success, A lot of little things done well."I would like to congratulate Marvin Lewis for coming up with the sh*ttiest t-shirt slogan ever. Way to go, Marv! :thumbsup:/> Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 31, 2013 Report Posted July 31, 2013 He must have seen that on one of those "motivational" posters while walking through the mall the week before camp started.Sh*tty all the way around. Quote
