So with the same situation as last week, Marvin is going for the 52 yard FG? So who is going to explain this one to me? In fact it's 4th and 7, not 9. and the same distance.

You're correct, it was fourth and 7 not 9. The Bengals have a kicker that hasn't played at all this regular season and is coming off the street. If Brown misses the Cowboys get the ball at almost midfield only down 6 where a TD could take the lead. Yep you're right, it's an even worse situation yet he attempted the FG.

If anything its worse because it is close to the end of the game where the Cowboys would have had a short field to score a go ahead TD. Last week, it was the first quarter, and in fact the first drive of the game where putting points on the board would have been fine, and a missed FG wouldn't have been that big of a deal. There is no defending things.
