I wouldn't say Dre is a bust yet, but I would say he is in increasing danger of busting.

As for not getting him on the field, I think the coaching staff (specifically Lewis and Zimmer) are turtling up. At 3-4 the season is on the edge, and rather than take a risk and put a guy out there who could give you a big boost -- or get torched like a rookie by one of the best QBs ever -- they go conservative and stick with the guys they know, warts and all.

And that, Marvin, is why your teams wallow in mediocrity. It's not because your QB isn't a d*ck.

Can't help but think of 2010 when Owens and Chad were hurt and Simpson had a chance to play. After playing well in a few games Marvin said "I probably should have played him sooner."

I definately don't think we can even approach to think that Dre is a bust. He hasn't been allowed to see the field yet. At all. Preseason or regular season.

Then there is the state of reality that Marvin simply doesn't live in. He cannot see what others see. He's too egotistical and too naive. We all see a team that is need a a major shake-up or energy shift, maybe even a new face at RB. Marvin sees some missed opporunities and a lack of execution. For Crocker to be on the bench more often than not, yet lead the team in int's says it all.

Marvin lives in his own world where all that can possibly be done, is being done. It's never his fault or the gameplans fault, or the lack of adjustment's fault. This week it's because Dalton isn't enough of a dick. Rediculous.

I hope you guys are right, that Dre just isn't getting his chance. I'm with Billy though, I'm starting to think what they're seeing in practice is scaring the crap out of them, so they're hoping that some more reps will get him up to speed.

Edit: Please don't read anything I wrote as endorsing anything Marvin is doing. I'm so ready to see Marvin go that words escape me.

Would have rather seen DeQuin Evans, a DE.

Heh, I wanted us to grab DE/OLB Justin Houston when he fell from a top 20 prospect to the 3rd(tested pos for M.J. at the combine). Instead we went with the Al Davis type pick. Houston: 71 solo tackles, 11.5 sacks, 7 passes defended, 8 stuffed plays in the last season and a half. Whew, glad we passed on that guy for Dontay "I.R." Moch.

And yes either Dre is also a bust or Lewis is THAT big of a dumbass.
