Good beat writers for the Bengals?

Hey guys, I've been working on a site that displays Bengals related tweets and organizes them based on type (i.e. players, writers, bloggers). I have plenty of players and enough bloggers, but I'm struggling with finding enough good quality writers.

Do you guys happen to know any good writers I should add? I'm looking for guys that are good at breaking news or getting creditable rumors out. Not looking so much for the guys who like to talk about non-football or their personal life.

The only good writers I've found so far are:

@joereedy

@geoffhobsoncin

@cbssportsnflcin

@jamisonhensley

The site can be found here if you want to check it out or see how the writers I have work currently: Bengals Tweeter I'd appreciate any feedback on the site as well.

Any other writers besides the ones I'm using that you guys feels are worth adding?

Thanks again!

If you think Geoff Hobson is a good writer, you should like pretty much anyone

Ya... your not the first to mention it. I'm just struggling to find anyone that can bring breaking news/rumors out in some sort of timely matter. If you have someone to replace him with.. or maybe a few!.. I'd appreciate it.

Funny where things have gone isn't it? Not too long ago web based news sites were the fastest form to find out about breaking news... Now twitter is by far the fastest way to hear about something happening. Unfortunately not everyone has a twitter, and throwing everyone your following in one list makes it disorganized. Hence the site!

I'd recommend a couple of my fellow CJ writers: Joe Goodberry, our draft guy (@JoeGoodberry) and Anthony Cosenza (@CUIBengalsFan).

Yea I agree cincy jungle guys are pretty good.

Thanks guys, I've been hearing more and more about the CJ group. Goodberry seems off topic for the offseason but I'm going to monitor him when season gets closer.

Speaking as a hack, Hobson is a good writer. But like anyone else who has written about the same subject for a long, long time, much of his stuff is just mailed in. His stuff isn't bad, just lazy.

I don't know that Reedy hates his job. But he has this j-school cub reporter attitude about how he must be The Impartial Journalist, which rubs a lot of fans the wrong way. My guess is that he actually likes his job, but he's got the same bug Mark Curnutte had: he doesn't want to be writing about sports, he wants to be writing about Something Important.

Former DT John Thornton (@JohnThornton) does quite a bit w/ social media including tweets. Not sure if you have him already on one of those lists.

Thanks, he seems a bit off topic right now. That's understandable considering it's off season. I'll put him in the side list and see how he is around the start of the season.

Thanks again.

Cincy Jungle is a wasteland. The people who "write" for it are,to be kind, tiresome basement-dwellers.

Ok that's your opinion but I enjoy going over to read articles. To each there own but when there are not a lot of good places to go to read or find out info fast you go where you know. I enjoy reading there articles and will continue to go there

Personally flow I've seen you at lots of other fan forums doing the same thing. To name a couple at the Ravens Sanctuary you're "ravensflow'. Over at JetsNation you're "jetsflow". I hope you didn't go to a Browns forum and title yourself "brownsflow". The mental image I get from that includes a toilet. :P

That's because they're the browns! hahah, no don't tell them I said that.

As you can see I represent every NFL team. I initially started with my team and it was a really big hit. My brother mentioned it on one of his forums and they thought it was a big hit. Someone mentioned notifying the all the message boards for every team. We thought it was a great idea... but we didn't have the resources to represent every team properly. Then I realized asking the real fans what beat writers they like is the best way. One I get each team represented fairly and accurately, and two I know its what that fan base wants to see!

We're trying to take it in stride just a few teams right now. We've had a couple writers contact us about being on the site and a few fan based websites ask to be affiliates. Pretty exciting. Hope you enjoy the site.
