BengalszoneBilly
I'll take a play-off place however it came our way. We're going post-season baby !!!!!!i think we'd all have settled for that at the start of the season Never thought there was a chance. Honestly I didn't.
DC_Bengals_Fan
I hate this. And I don't like how Marvin's team was (again) not ready to play.BUT.I love that they gritted it out. I love that, despite getting bent over by the refs, they didn't implode a la 2005. I love how Dalton doesn't rattle. And in the end, despite getting the sh*t end of every call, they were still in it. It ain't what we wanted, but all in all it's not the worst loss I've ever seen.EDIT: This is where a better coach would get in the head of the league by sending them a tape of every bad call - not because it fixes what happened, but to make sure it doesn't happen again. I'd start with the tape of Green getting involuntarily disrobed in the endzone.

glasgowbengal
*ahem* Excuse mePI in the End Zone?? Webb had Green's shirt almost off.If that was at the other end, flags would have flown like confetti.disgusting. appalling display from the officialss**te,incompetent officiating I can cope with but when it seems to always be to the detriment of one team, questions must be asked.I'm writting a letter to Goodell

derekshank
For those following closely, the Bengals currently get the #18 overall draft selection from Oakland. If Seattle beats Arizona here in OT, and Dallas wins tonight, the pick moves up to #16.
membengal
How in the f**k that wasnt' PI on the play before the final heave is beyond me. It was clear PI and anyone who isn't trolling would admit that. Glad that they are in anyway. Proud of how they battled to the end.Wish the day would come when Marvin would have the team ready in a big game situation. Maybe next week. Maybe. I guess hope springs eternal. membengal
Go Seattle and Dallas then, Derek. I want the pick at #16 overall.
derekshank
Maybe next week.Well, the Bengals are 5-3 on the road compared to 4-4 at home. I guess it's a good thing there is no chance of hosting a playoff game.
membengal
Arizona wins. Bengals pick at #17 or #18 then with the Oakland 1st rounder. That plus ours somewhere in the 20s should net us the guard and CB we all desire.

I said this game would come down to turnovers, just dont turn it over and Gresh did and that hurt bad! So i just want to see no turnovers, and i want to see them play good football for 4 quarters, and get the running game going!

ShulaSteakhouse
One of the worst games they've played all season...1-7 vs winning teams...my enthusiasm for the playoffs is dampened (this team just isn't very good).I'd prefer to get there when they, hopefully, upgrade their roster - unfortunately they need a lot of new parts, and I am not sold on Dalton at all - he is Tebow-like against good defenses. I certainly hope he improves.Fans sell out the stadium for you, and you come out and play like that? So typical of this franchise, and Melvin Lewis teams - undisciplined and stupid. Whatever, we will see if they can finally win a playoff game next week, or not, I guess.
TJJackson
I just got back from the game a few minutes agoI was seated in the south end zone, basically looking straight through the very middle of the uprights, and we were very very VERY loud on Baltimore offensive snaps in front of us, and I do believe we caused them to take a time out or two. It felt damn good to be the 12th man, and I can barely speak right now. my throat is so hoarse. The officiating was, as many of you have said, horrendous. I don't know if this was shown on TV, and I dont know if this is done as standard operating procedure, but armed police officers came up and escorted the refs off the field, which based on the comments of many around me (a well lubricated group, shall we say) was an excellent idea.An excellent experience despite the loss, really enjoyed it. Oh, and for Hair et al: I proudly did not spend a dime on anything, including parking and concessions, but my brother did buy a hot dog and a soft drink, parting with about 10 dollars in the exchange

He is not tebow, hell Dalton had to throw the ball 44 times today, and that bothers me big time. How about getting a running game going, and you will see Dalton improve big time. Sorry but i like Dalton, for a guy who didnt have much of a training camp, and new OC, he is doing just fine in my eyes. They lost this game because they had that big turnover at the end of the game, and they couldnt stop Rice when it counted. Once again they had a chance to win it in the end, the fight is not the problem of this team, its the fact that they make mistakes at dumb times. No more game changeing mistakes, tackle, and just do your job!

I just figured most knew that was part of the reason.Lap said he figures the refs didnt call that last PI on Green because he didnt think the refs wanted to have the outcome of the game. Green gets pulled down and they dont call it, thats some crap!

I shall not repeat what I yelled to the refs throughout the game.I was more disappointed in the fact that the Bengals should have won the game. It's becoming more and more clear that one of their biggest, if not the biggest, reasons for being an average team is their consistency of play. It is not their lack of playmaking ability. They have yet to have played a full game this season. Today was another example.
