Yeah, individuals are what I look for this early in the pre-season, and was happy with what Atkins, Johnson, A. Jones put together tonight. And I know it was just one catch, but that play from Coffman caused me to raise an eyebrow.

Same,Rough for guy getting playing time since they wanna get Gresham as much experience as possible.

I think Coffman has a chance to play plenty, two TE sets where both TEs can catch are fun things.

Has Jones done enough tonite to put him into the battle for the 6th receiver spot?

Being who it was vs I'd doubt it but then again Carson wants to have a Bromance with all 6'6 of Matt...Simpson I thought did Okay when it came to getting open but simply our QB's couldn't throw the ball or were being annihilated from terrible Oline play

Simpsons are on so I'm done watching the game,Did get to see Geno make one last play though ^_^ I'd like to see him get in earlier next week.

go

Well my hope that Otis Hudson was some undiscovered gem have turned into the realization that he's destined for the practice squad.

Alexander is a Genius

Holy hell. Matt is looking like a real clutch receiver tonight! :bengal:

I'd hope a former 1st round pick / Starter would be able to get 10-15 yards off 4th stringers.

PS,Seriously one QB on the 53man is all we need and next years draft 1st,2nd,3rd & 4th rnd picks to building Depth on the Oline.

LOL, I almost agree. Except I might spend that #2 on backup QB to groom as the future starter...

Gee, same overrated o-line as last year, same lame offensive results.

Shocker.

And your act remains tired.

Shocker.

By all accounts Matt Jones had a very poor training camp. I doubt a handful of catches against 3rd and 4th stringers is enough to make up for that.

The only way he makes this team is if Bryant gets put on IR and they decide Shipley makes Cosby unnecessary.

Well, that was about what I expected. First team O looked like it was still putting the pieces together. O-line was OK, not great, but OK. Palmer & T.O. seem to be working into sync quickly. Benson was Benson, in the few (2) touches he got. First team D was a bit too bend-and-break for my tastes but was missing key guys like Rey and JJ.

Injuries to Leonard & Crocker sucked. But if they had to happen, 5 weeks out is the time.

Beyond the starters, I liked what I saw out of Tronzo at FB and Atkins at DT. Pacman & Gibril Wilson had their ups and downs.

Ghee, man, the guy has to catch the ball first...that was a penalty I don't care what the refs said.

We have nothing behind Palmer. N-O-T-H-I-N-G. JTO Suckivan and Jordan the Interception Machine.

Let's keep the redemption theme going Mikey: go trade for Vick!

I'd say yes.

I'd have to agree, and with that big Punt return by Shipley...That may have just eliminated Quan Cosby from the competition.

My view on the game,.. Our backup oline and qbs are pretty aweful so far,.. Hopefully we can clean that up,.. My boy matt jones was a beast!!! Shipley had a very nice return,.. We have definate bright spots on our dline and hopefully we just clean up some mistakes and luckuily we have 4 more games to do that with,.. So really,.. Next week,. will be our 1st preseason game :) put my boy matt in more!!!!!!! haha and i really hope leapin leanard and crocker are ok... :-/

I liked the fact that the Defense was able to get to the Dallas Qb's with 5 Sacks, and Michael Johnson with 2. They have plenty of time to correct mistakes. The Offense will get better, and HOPEFULLY the penalties will be reduced game by game.

Should I go sit in the virtual corner now? Now that I've dared to criticize the holy offensive line and wunderkind Paul Alexander?

Get back to me with where this offense ranked the last half of the 2009 season if you get a chance, but that might cut into your phoney cheerleading posting time?
