Well still to early to say whats going to happen so no stress yet lol.
kingwilly
This is not good, well i guess its alittle to early to worry about the o-line but this is not good. So Roland again, i liked him for run block but his pass blocking was not that great. Oh man hope this o-line gets healthy in time for the season.Roland is highly underrated, in my book. With Gresham and two new WR's, Roland will be fine. Problems came when Coles and Caldwell were running poor/wrong routes, and no TE.
BengalPimp
If worse comes to worst, and Andre Smith is on the PUP List to start the season, there are still some older Veteran Tackles that can be signed to fill in for half a season, or even a whole season. Not ideal, but a better stop-gap than what we currently have would be guys like: Flozell Adams, Ephraim Salaam, even Jon Runyan.....You know, I'd even be willing to sign Levi Jones, just so we can cut his ass after week 6.....Then rub it in his face when we win the SuperBowl.......On second thought...F*ck Levi. rwalling
Doesn't this fat@ss realize that he and his manboobs can't be contained in a single thread, they're at least two wide! Doesn't he realize that while Chad, TO, Bryant, Shipley, Gresham, Leonard, Scott, et al. are wonderful receivers, Carson can't get them the ball from his butt! I have about enough of this fat slobs lack of give a damn. The lack of conditioning is an insult to his teammates and the coaching staff. I hope when he does lumber back onto the field the D-Line is merciless with him. Big Willie on no good knees would fight like his life depended on it for his teammates. Do you think Baltimore or Pittsburgh accept this kind of crap? Hell no.If he doesn't show more commitment to the team and can't do his job, he's worthless to me. Kazkal
Roland is highly underrated, in my book.Sure for undrafted tackle he may be okay in a pinch but he still looked like a swing door after a few games and people realized his huge size wasn't that scary... I hope Collons is further along this year that if Smith cant start maybe he can.
Kazkal
He was a decent run blocker (compared to collins) but as a starter still left much to be desired IMO
HairOnFire
Big Willie seems like a very sensitive guy. Perhaps we should send him some flowers. WillAnderson79 I see on some Blogs sites I was getting hated on for giving info that would be revealed the next day. Some say I was hating! Wow! 9 minutes ago via txt WillAnderson79 I guess I can't comment on any team's offensive Line cuz it'll be percieved as a slight. It may look like I want that job. jonahdsage
Should we put in a call to Big Willie? I say "why not"?Yeah that sounds glorious. What's there to lose? I'd really love to not hear "74 is reporting eligible . . . 74 is reporting eligible" every three plays at the stadium.

DC_Bengals_Fan
Nat Geo channel has a pretty good documentary about the Beachmaster, the dominant male Elephant Seal that rolls around the beach, tusking upstart rivals, and servicing his harem. Don't know why I just thought of that.Dude, you need some better porn.
TJJackson
Two related tweets from Reedy in the past 24 hours"Lewis says Smith about 2-3 weeks away from on field work. Could be placed though on the actual PUP list #bengals""RT @NVisionMarketin: @joereedy Why is Andre Smith out? >> Foot and conditioning"ok, so the foot needs to heal, but this guy could still have been conditioning himself. The "want-to" does not appear to be there. It's still early to call 'bust' but thats where this train seems to be heading for the moment. Here's to hoping he is actually ready in 3 weeksPeter King's first Postcard from Camp is on the Bengals, and he sees it too/>http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/peter_king/07/29/bengals.postcard/index.htmlLewis is not happy with Andre Smith, the second-year tackle from Alabama. He doesn't think Alabama shot him straight with its pre-draft info (the kid's work ethic leaves a lot to be desired) and Smith was not diligent enough in the offseason rehabbing a foot injury. The Bengals expect him to be ready for the start of the season, but I wouldn't be surprised if: 1. The Bengals start him on the PUP list because he won't be in good shape; or 2. He doesn't start the season as a starter.
Sea Ray
This Andre Smith stuff is not adding up. He supposedly just had a simple cleanup procedure on his foot in Feb and now nearly 6 mos later it's not healed yet? As of a couple weeks ago he was supposedly ready to be cleared to practice:/>http://www.cincyjungle.com/2010/7/19/1577311/injury-update-andre-smith-on-roadMarvin who generally understates injuries is now throwing out the idea that he'll be PUPed for the 1st 6 games. I would say we'd be best to not count on him and if he does come back consider it a bonus. As I recall they have a special clause in his contract where they can cut him after this year if he doesn't show anything. This is a key year for him

Even us fans at the time were saying that of course Alabama will give him a good report. they're just sticking up for one of their own. If Marvin was swayed by what they said then shame on him. That said at this point Marvin is handling him right. Treat him like an undrafted FA and make him prove he's fit enough to practice and make him earn a starting spot.
ShulaSteakhouse
When I saw that one of the reasons for Smith being on the active PUP list was "conditioning," I immediately figured he was not rehabbing diligently, nor keeping in shape.Just another stupid first round draft pick, nothing new here. The Bengals are much too confident in what they have at RT and even LG, but ecspecially RT. At this point I really think they should test the market for vet RT's (they likely won't unless someone gets hurt). We can only hope someone like Collins has worked hard in the off-season and has improved, or Roland. I was so tired of it last year, put your best guys in and let them play. I dont mind them using the Jumbo package, but swapping tackles and guards every other quarter was annoying. Im begining to wonder about Smith, his work ethic must be horrible or maybe he just dosnt care, something seems off.
