Stripes Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 "never in doubt" .... since Antonio Bryant was released.since AB did not play special teams, I repeat - the outcome was never in doubtI like me some Quan, but I'm not sure anyone aside from yourself thinks he was always a lock. Quote
membengal Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 I did.He does so much so well on special teams, I didn't see him going anywhere. Quote

membengal Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 quan has been having some trouble holding on to the ball,.. just sayinYou will make stuff up to try and make matt jones seem like a good choice, won't you? What the f**k are you talking about? Quote
coupdayta Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Quan gives 110% on special teams. Check this video out:/>http://www.nfl.com/videos/cincinnati-bengals/09000d5d812c0612/Cosby-punt-returnAnd remember that return where he blocked like five players all by himself? I think that was one of the best ST I have ever seen.Keeping this guy is a no brainer. Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 BTW, I would like to note that on my day off I woke at 6:04 AM and immediately jumped online for news about the cuts the Bengals haven't made yet.....rather than grab a cup of coffee and watch Playboy's Private Calls with the sound off, as I normally do. That's dedication. Quote

derekshank Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 quan has been having some trouble holding on to the ball,.. just sayinYeah, he had one fumble in one game. He also had 4 catches for 83 yards in that game... more than your boy has done all preseason combined. Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Nothing official yet but Reedy is twittering about Matt Jones and Dez Briscoe being cut. Quote
volcom69 Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Nothing official yet but Reedy is twittering about Matt Jones and Dez Briscoe being cut.Figured, and Briscoe should go to the practice squad if he dosnt get picked up Quote

What a great video.Noting that this team now has 3 very real threats at PR, and at KR, making hay on ST should be one of the things that push this team over the top. Recall, STs was one of the things that propelled the Bears in their recent SB run. Quote

volcom69 Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Also Per Reedy Nugent beat out RaynerAccording to Reedy K. Hebert tweeted he is cut so i wonder if that means they will be signing another saftey like Watkins or someone else? Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Per Reedy, Nugent has won the kicking battle.Shayne Graham was also cut in Baltimore.Official roster announcement not expected until 3-4 today. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Latest from Reedy: James Johnson, Kyries Hebert gone. Quote
HairOnFire Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Shayne Graham was also cut in Baltimore. So no last second kick lifting the Ravens over the wicked Bengals in a game that decided the fate of the entire everything? Quote
Spor_tees Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Peermen just seemed to have more breakaway speed than James Johnson IMO...that had to be the deciding factor. I think it was pretty obvious during the preseason who the team ed favored in the kicking competition. The fact that they didn't let Nuggent try anything but long kicks tells me they were pretty confident in his accuracy, they just wanted to make sure he had the leg strength they wanted. Quote
Kazkal Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 not sure if mentioned but Nugent won(no real surprise) yay! Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Reedy says it "looks like" C Reggie Stephens will make the squad, not confirmed yet tho. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 For those of you hunting the waiver wire for safety help, the Titans have released Myron Rolle in an attempt to sneak him onto the practice squad. Quote
HoosierCat Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Reedy:#bengals have pushed back their release announcement until 6 p.m. That sound you just heard was my head hitting a wallGuess I got time to mow the lawn... Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 I'm interested in what they are doing at Safety I guess...Marvin White or Pat Watkins (can't imagine Rico Murray would be kept?)...wonder if White won himself a job Thurs night or not. Quote
