What they are saying in Baltimore-part II (merged)

Jeebus but I cannot stress enough how confident the local talking heads are in Baltimore and their callers.

Beyond confident.

It is damn near unlistenable.

I'm listening too...and it is nauseating. Anita Marks: "Last Bengals game was a fluke, they should be favored by more than 3 points."

On the Bruce Cunningham show, him and the other guy on there did make a valid point in separating the Bengals from the Broncos...calling the Broncos "soft".

Were you listening at around 12:25 pm? When a listener called "Robert" called and concern trolled Preston and Cunningham about Palmer's 7-3 record and 87.9 career passer rating against the Ravens? And wondered how the Ravens were going to handle the unbalanced line? And that the Xs and Os didn't seem all that favorable for B'more?

Because that was me.

Nice. What'd they say?

Cunningham agreed. Preston went turtle. It was Preston's "same old Bengals" comment that got my dander up enough to make the call. He said he thought people were assuming "same old Bengals". I called and prefaced the above comments by asking just what Preston, or anyone, meant by "same old Bengals". I asked, rehtorically, was he talking about way back to 2002. Because if he was talking about last year, I reminded them that Palmer missed the last 12 games, and then transitioned into Palmer's record against Baltimore when he's played.

I didn't get to hear much of the show after that.

The last 6 times the Bengals have been Underdogs they are 6-0 ATS.

Wow - almost makes me want to put some money down on this.

But I dont want to jinx anything.

I put money on the Bengals for the first time in my life against Chicago... and the offense exploded with 4 TDs in 4 posessions. You bet your sweet ass I'm putting money on them again!

I'm betting on the Bengals against the Steelers, regardless of what the line is!

Initial impressions from the post-game on 105.7 the fan?

Admitted the division is gone.

Admitted they got their ass kicked at both line of scrimmages for the second Bengals game in a row.

Seems to be a dawning realization that the Bengals really are the better team.

Oh, and the first caller had the balls to seriously complain on the officiating. Altho his heart wasn't as into it as usual.

1 for 10 on third downs for the Ravens was the response from the announcers, and closed down the whining.

This team is gelling my friends. We are in for one hell of a ride! :)

One of the announcers on 105.7 just said that NOW he thinks the Bengals are for real. Apparently it took a second win over the Ravens to bring that realization. Good lord.

Does that really surprise you much though?

Not sure, may be Zinno.

I have heard one caller half-heartedly blame the refs. Now one caller think the Ravens didn't take the Bengals seriously and that's why they lost. Good lord.

He's a friend of mine and an old roomate. He should be listening to me when I'm telling him that the Bengals are for real.

Yes. He should. They all should.

Hats off to Geathers, Peko, Tank, Sims, Johnson and Frostee.

The Ravens were 1 for 10 on 3rd down conversions. It starts up front.

All sacks today were coverage sacks, so second tip o the hat to the secondary.

God I really love this defense. They make my dick hard! ^_^
