walzav29
We've all got a level of disgust with Mike Brown, and that Hard Knocks episode was another notch in the belt. BUT from the early looks and reviews of Chris Henry and Chad Johnson he may have FINALLY done something to prove EVERYONE wrong. I know I wanted them guys gone for 2 years now, and if they play at their peek levels it is a testament to 1 person. Mike Brown. It would be nice to see him do something right in the last 19 years. I can't think of anyone who thought it was a good idea to keep either guy. We'll have to stay tuned, but they're looking good.
TJJackson
NahHe has always sucked, sucks now, and will always suckTil he's not involved with the bengals anymoreAt that point, I will praise him for his one positive action - removing himself from involvement with the BengalsIf that involvement ends in a manner not of his choosing, then he doesn't get that one bit of praise either. But no kneeling, thank you very muchWORSTOWNEREVER
HoTbOy
I said after the draft that maybe MBrown finally gets it, and what I meant was that maybe he finally understands what it takes to win...we had a great draft even though the #1 pick is not in and he brought in some quality FA's this year...He even tried to sign MVick, don't know if he is trying to win or trying to sell seats, but it is a welcome change to see the owner trying to improve the team whether than being a hindrance...1 offseason does not make up for 20+ years of being a laughing stock, but I like what has been done this year... The SoP School of Team Management and Redemptive Philosophy has its first sutdent: Walzav29.Your logic reminds me of Ty from Caddyshack explaining to Danny that sometimes the shortest distance between two points is a stright line, in the opposite direction. It also reminds me of those religious type-folks who keep thier sick kids from medical care and "pray" for them to become healthy.Every once in a while it works. However, it is the great majority of the time that it fails and the kid dies.
BengalszoneBilly
Kneel to Mike Brown!?! Are you serious!?! I kneel to no man with a record a horrid as his. Let him start sniffing the .500 mark at least, and then I may begin to let my knees flex a bit.

We'll have to stay tuned, but they're looking good. With Henry - we'll see if it ends up being worth it, but he'll certainly have to be good to make up for a number of years worth of stupidity. As for Chad - considering we could have had mid-round 1st round picks in '08 and probably '09 for him...I think I might still prefer the picks. I'm also still not believing that Denzel's little chat with Chad will keep him on the straight and narrow all year.
NJ29
I think the Henry and Chad situations are instances of the saying, "even a blind squirrel finds an acorn."
ArmyBengal
Giving credit where credit is due is fine by me and I am more than willing to say they had a great draft and the first looks of Henry and Chad were good. That being said, there's no way to simply ignore the overall failure of this organization to compete for as long as they have, only to be told, "We're trying"...Nope can't and won't do it. walzav29
I didn't mean to kneel for his overall performance with is putrid. I'm saying let's throw the guy a bone if this Henry/Chad idea pays off. He deserves all of the guff he gets, but if the guy does something good we can't acknowledge it? I'll change it to throw the guy a bone, but I think it would kill some people to say the guy did anything right. This just might be the thing. ShulaSteakhouse
I believe only 3-4 home games are sell outs, due to out of town fans (Pitt, Cleveland, Chicago). The rest have discounted tickets online and there are apparently plenty available.Wonder if we'll head back into local blackout territory this year for a couple of games. They could win w/o Chad and Henry if they took that $ and spent it on the o-line and defense every year, and drafted well more often. This just might be the thing. The right thing for the wrong reasons doesn't mean much to me. He SHOULDN'T have resigned Henry after Marvin made it clear he wasn't wanted and he should've traded Chad when he had the chance. Just because he stubbornly kept them both and now they seem to be playing well doesn't mean he made the right choice at that time. That just means he got lucky and they both decided to turn themselves around.
Pidge
And anyhoo, let's say Henry goes nuts and gets 1800 yards and a PB spot. Wonderful for this yr and I'll take it. However, the fact that the HC, whoever he might be, doesn't have the final say about players and the team, nevermind the fact that the player in question was up until that point a constant f**k up, doesn't bode well for many repeats of team success. Just not the right atmosphere.
ArmyBengal
Not to mention both of them might not be with the team next year. That always is a possibility. Then what ??I'm not one to really bash Mike Brown anymore, because there's nothing you can tell me I haven't heard a million times and no, just because I heard it a million times doesn't mean it doesn't matter anymore. It's just pointless until he and his family don't run things. That being said, "F*CK YOU MIKE BROWN !!!"

semiotter
Well what a lot of you guys have said is well taken.. But to be honest with you I don't care about the past. We can't do anything about it. We all know how much MB has sucked and how it has made the Bengals stink for ever it seems. All I care about is Carson staying healthy the Bengals Def playing well beating the Crappola out of Pittsburgh , winning the Div, and going to the playoffs and beyond.
