combatbengal
The coaches have finally put a plan together that's going to help us out of our slump. Not sure why they haven't thought about this before, but it's sure to turn this team around. Look out Giants, the Bengals are coming to your back yard and plan to thrown down some terror. Here is what the coaches plan to do. Hope you're sitting down for this! The coach said, "we have to be consistent each and every play". OMG, that's the trick. Wait a minute though, haven't we heard this week after week, season after season. And where has it gotten us? That's right 0-2. Man, I can't wait to see how we man handle the Giants in their back yard. All we have to do is be consistent and we'll walk out of there with a win. That means that the o-line has to block and open holes. The QB has to get the ball to the RB and WR's. The RB has to hold on to the rock. And the WR's, well, all they have to do is get open and catch what's thrown to them. Real simple. Basic Pop Warner football. I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited about the season now. Playoffs, here we come. As a matter of fact, I'm getting in line now for playoff tickets, because we're going to have home field advantage throughout the playoffs. OK, I'm kidding. But that was the message that was given to the team.
volcom69
Actully if this team was consistant i think they would be really good. Look the defense has not been mind blowing but if the offense was what it was a couple of years ago i could see them winning a bunch of games. This team has talent but for some reason the talent on this team is not playing like a team there is no rythem to it what so ever. So some consistancy and some heart and emotion, with the recievers getting open Palmer getting his game back, Chris Henry coming back to help these recievers, to me thats what they need. Now its up to them to go out and show that and if they do then who knows. I just wish Marvin would some how fire up his guys.
jonf45uk
unfortunately, it looks like this team will be incredibly consistent this year.........
combatbengal
This is the same message that the coaches give week after week, year after year! There has been no consistent play and I don't see it changing anytime soon. When Henry comes back, we'll be 0-4 and they'll still be talking about gettinginto the playoffs. One player isn't going to change anything. So I guess the question that we have to start thinking about is, who will we take with the number one pick? RB, o-line, QB, etc? Wraith
Actually I think the team has been very consistent the last two weeks, both games looked pretty similar to me.
GregCook
Actually I think the team has been very consistent the last two weeks, both games looked pretty similar to me.Longer since the first pre-season game, they've been consistent for 6 games.Carson either has lots of time to throw or no time to throw. His receivers are covered or not. Either way this team goes nowhere until he starts hitting his wideouts for about 200+ yards a game. Perhaps its time to give Simpson and Caldwell a look? Then again, they need a far better running game to control the clock and keep their defense sitting on the sidelines. Then again, they need an IQ boost, perhaps have them all take a protein shake or something before games? I can think of lots more "then agains". Funny thing is, this is football, next weekend everything might come together and they play a real good game. Might not win, but definitely look good losing. And go out and trade for a veteran Center that can hold his ground.
mgilgris
While I still have faith in Carson, I would be up to see Fitz take a shot. Until this line gets their act together Carson could get injured and or Killed. I know he is arguably our best player, a pro bowler but I dont want to see him get hurt. His mobility is lacking and the line blows.
combatbengal
Wait a minute now. Carson our best player? I think Graham is our best player. The only reason that fantasy gamers aren't getting any points for him is because we aren't getting close enogh to attempt a FG. OK, I'm kidding. I assure there isn't a jury in this part of Ohio that would convict me at this point.
DC_Bengals_Fan
Willie Anderson is now dining in Baltimore and The Ocho admitted he's not much of an organizer ("That means I'd have to foot the bill," he said), but he's all for it.Yeah, that's the same tightwad who promised to give away a car and backed out of the deal. He thinks it would be a good idea for someone to pay for dinner. Someone else, that is.
