Chad shoves a bengals employee

The media knows Chad won't interview here in Cincinnati, he's done with them. The guy probably approached Chad like he was the paparazzi and Chad shoved him.. No big deal.

I'm pretty sure Chad could eat babies and you'd say "So? They're high in protein."

Shoving an annoying, nerdy journalist for getting in his face and I'm sure not respecting his personal space or eating babies *weighing the two* ... Pointless post  .

The term for what Chad did is short and sweet, its call Assault

:lmao: I nearly fell out of my chair. Your kidding right? You can't be serious. :lmao:

I don't buy into this. I'm sursprised by how many of you are willing to take a cap hit and turn on him.

I say make his ass stay and work off his contract. He's a football player and will want to play when the season starts.

Word. $8 million dollar cap hit. That's pretty draconian, if he goes. So, he stays. Everyone needs to put him on "ignore" until about September, when he will finally saunter back to the team. Between now and then, he will be like a two-year-old having a tantrum and holding his breath.

Best way to deal with a two-year-old having a tantrum? Ignore them. So, let's ignore him.

There are something like 6 CJ threads just on this page. It's excessive. If we all work together, we can make this off-season much nicer. But it involves not reacting every time the two-year-old throws one of his toys...

Please give it a try sometime if you don't believe me. Now I must caveat this. This is adult law I'm talking about. You might not qualify.

Anyone who claims they were "assaulted" after being shoved is a straight up p***y! Do you really think Chad had an intention to cause bodily damage by giving the journalist a little nudge followed by a stare? Chad wouldn't hurt a fly.

I heard on NFL Sirius yesterday (Movin' The Chains show) that the cap hit is $5.9 million. Don't forget to take into account the $3 million in 2008 salary that we shed if we move him. Does this actually add up to a net $3 million cap hit? I think it probably does, but dead money then deducting actual salary money, does that work? Someone please advise me on how this works. If the actual net hit is $3 million, considering the cap is going to be somewhere around $116 million, doesn't look prohibitive to me.

My two-year-old temper tantrum advice should probably also be extended to agreen.

It's too bad the rules are less stringent here than they are on Bengals.com forums.....had he not been kicked off there, we wouldn't have the 'pleasure' of his 'pearls of wisdom' here.

I just don't want folks thinking that he represents a typical poster here - he writes a lot of uniformly poor posts rife with ignorance, and those not familiar with him might -- most unfortunately -- take his blather as representative of the members here as a whole.

Unfortunately, your boy won't take a $1 cap hit if he can help it, for any reason. <_<

In this instance, with the help of his head coach, I'm hoping Mike Brown sees that he can't help it. Sure, he can win the battle of contract law, but what does that do to his team? With Chad back we would remain, as some pundits called us, the most immature team in the NFL.

My two cents...

I dunno. I think SoP might have been okay trading him and taking a cap hit if things went beyond the point of no return. However, that would have been in a perfect world where we might have gotten a low 1st rounder but at least a 2nd round pick. He's pooped all over that possibility though after his month long bitchfit in the national media. A 4th round pick and a cap hit of millions = Chad in Cincinnati in 2008.

Rightfully so IMO.

Let Chad shut his piehole and get a few catches next season, whether he likes it or not, and try again next offseason. Hopefully eek out a 2nd/3rd pick for the disgruntled vagina.

Sorry...prosecuting attorney here. Yeah, assault. 'Cause or attempt to cause harm'. Any other reason for a shove?

Yeah, and a judge will take that into consideration.

Chad - "But Judge, even if he legally may claim he was assaulted by me, he is just a p***y! All I did was shove him and stare at him for everyone to see. I may be guilty of assault but he is no man, so you should side with me. And if you don't, I might just step outside this courtroom and tell everyone how mean and unfair you have been to me. I'M CHAD JOHNSON! I'm tired of this. Everyone is against me. I've had enough. I'm going to let my attorney, Mr. AGreen, take it from here. Now where did I put my tissues?"

Classic, Mr. Duus. Thanks for the chuckle at Mr. AGreen's expense.

I get out of line at times, but what great one doesn't? What great one doesn't get emotional? Find me a great one who hasn't done it like that and I'll be quiet. --- Chad”

Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Steve Largent & Steve Smith.

There's four, I could go on.

Be quiet, Chad.

Coo Coo for Cocoa Puffs

Yeah, it does seem like Chad went off his meds, doesn't it?

As much as I bang on the Bengals for essentially creating these messes with disgruntled players, it seems Chad may indeed benefit from some sort of psychological help or medication.

My thoughts exactly. Chad is getting more erratic by the day. It's one thing to lobby for a trade, but he's all over the place, and seemingly even at odds with his agent, whose attempts to take things "private" are apparently being rebuffed by his own client. He continues to claim un-named people in the organization are slamming him (paranoia?) and seems almost manic-depressive: sittin' out, not sittin' out, talk to the national media, don't talk to the national media, etc.

I agree that Chad has been a whiny little bi**h this offseason, but there's always two sides to every story. How many times have each of you read an innacurate and biased report from a journalist? You can't automatically assume the reporter gave an accurate account. Remember, it's his job to write something that people will read and discuss(and thus gain readers), so of course he's going to make this far more inflammatory than it probably was.

According to bengals.com, Chad was open to all interviewers today(even though he was PMS'ing yesterday). And he explained that in the "incident", the NFL guy put his arm up to impede Chad from walking away from the interviewers, and Chad moved his arm out of the way and said "What are you doing? Excuse me". And the NFL guy supposedly didn't think anything of it. Doesn't sound like much of a big deal to me.

And today Chad seems to have "taken all of his meds", because he made statements intimating that he'll be back playing for the Bengals this yr.

It's time to forgive and forget. We all knew Chad was a bit of a primadonna, so the turmoil is nothing unexpected. He's a part of this team, and he's a good guy by most accounts. Bengals fans should support him once again to help him get his mindset back on track. Go Ocho!
