HoosierCat
The skinny headed into the week, per Curnutte:Wide receiver Tab Perry's hamstring injury Sunday at Cleveland was the most serious of any suffered by the Bengals."Not available," is how coach Marvin Lewis described Perry's status for the game Sunday at Seattle.Perry, who has a hamstring strain, said he was headed to two more medical appointments this afternoon and tonight.Lewis did say defensive end Frostee Rucker (hamstring) would be available to practice this coming week. Wide receiver Antonio Chatman, inactive at Cleveland, will have a chance to dress this week, as well. Center Eric Ghiaciuc (thumb) also could be ready for the Seahawks.Linebacker Ahmad Brooks has a groin injury and could be ready, as well.Frostee Rucker to practice??? Wow. Next thing you know the Great Pumpkin will be rising out of the local pumpkin patch...
HoosierCat
And on the betting front, the Hags are -- in something of a surprise -- only getting a smigden over home field advantage. They're favored by 3.5.

Just watched Marv's presser and he didn't mention it in the injury report, nor did anyone ask.

They're favored by 3.5. Living out here in Arizona amongst the Cardinal fans, and seeing their/my utter surprise in their/my (favorite NFC) team whipping the Seahawks, I'm not surprised. If the Bengals defense can by some miracle pull their collective heads out of their ass, the Bengals WILL win this game. If they let Chucky have his way, and EFF everything up as he did last week, we will be 1-2 this time next week.

The can't cover or make plays on ball when in position that's not Chucky fault, Marvin Lewis taking over play calling does nothing for the defense about as good as Billick taking over playcalling for the offense. Best hope is that the opposing quarterback has an off day.

They were much more productive, but not dominant, after he made that switch.

ShulaSteakhouse
I give up on Perry, the Bengals' should to, every time he falls down he gets hurt. He just doesn't have the body for it - too lanky and doesn't know how to fall. Pretty tired of the always-injured types on this roster. Holt and Green will do.JJ can play with a sore wrist, put some tape on it, a cast, and get out there and play. No idea why he left last week, even though he looked bad either way - he could've made a difference seeing how Hall was toasted again and again.Ahmad Brooks? Put a wrap on it, take some pain killers, and get out there. Suck it up son. This team needs to quit playing like a bunch of women and toughen up, if I'm Marvin, I've had it with the injuries - no other team has this many people leaving the field for every little sore and blister every week. Half the damn roster is hurt. I'd start putting Tampax in their lockers at this point.

Keep getting injured and the team reaches a settlement and sends you packing. Suddenly the training room empties out and guys toughen up. Also: Memo to Bengals scouts: "Perry" is a last name we might just want to steer clear of from now on.

Same excuses. Coaches have remained the same. Coaching is the problem, its not the players.I couldn't agree more Drought (how do you shorten that name anyway?)We draft out of the same universitiess every other team in the NFL does, our players were just as highly ranked coming out of college as the ones drafted by NE or Indy or Pitt etc.....Yet somehow these players come to Cincy and "suddenly" they can't tackle or block!?! They knew how to tackle in High School and College how does this knowledge suddenly elude them once they put on our uniform?I'm tired myself of hearing Marvin saying after every loss, "We just need to learn to tackle better''. If they don't know how to tackle by now Marvin when exactly, do you expect them to pick it up?That's just bullhockey people, pure and simple! HoosierCat
First official injury report up...http://www.bengals.com/team/InjuryReport.aspFull participation from the Non-Dairy Beverage! I predict 2 sacks from Frostee on the first two defensive series Sunday...then he gets hurt and is out for the rest of the year. Just the way things are going... HairOnFire
First official injury report up... Uhhh, is that for real? When you scroll past the 13 injured Bengal players you find the Seattle side of the ledger is completely empty. BTW, the Bengals current situation at LB reminded me of the following.... "There are no shortcuts in the NFL, Buttercup. It's hard work....and groin pulls." --- Angry old fan in TV spot.
pdxbengalsfan
West coast practice should be finishing up soon. Info should be in a little later on their injury report.
HoosierCat
Well, we're sorta getting better today...lot of guys moving up from limited to full. Housh pops up again with knee issues again, tho...still practiced. Willie has the usual foot thing. At least the safeties are getting better; the LBs however aren't. If Brooks is out expect the same defensive style (hopefully better executed) we saw in Cleveland...
