ArmyBengal Heading Out !!!

ArmyBengal

Recommended Posts

For those of you new within the past 3 months, this probably means very little... Hell for some that know me, it doesn't mean much more !!! However, my train up time is now over and I'm due to go to Afghanistan within the next week. Mrs. ArmyBengal is coming down here to Fort Riley to see me off and then I'll be gone until February 2008. ArmyBengal Jr. is getting bigger my the day and being away is going to suck, but all is going to be great over there for the year. I have a great team of 20 guys and we are going to have a great opportunity to make a huge impact on their country. Anyway around, I'm looking forward to it and am proud to be doing the job !!! I just wanted to take a few minutes to say goodbye to all of you guys and I hope to have the opportunity to jump on here from time to time throughout the year. Have fun with the upcoming draft (remember to pin the posts you guys !!!) and here's to hoping for a great 2007 I won't see !!! Once again take care and I'll talk to you guys when I get the chance !!! Take care !!! Later...

My fellow mods, please feel free to move this later, but I wanted to put this out where I knew most would be able to see it. Thanks and again, God Bless you all !!!

WHODEY !!!

I pray you have a safe and especially blessed time during your stay. Do me a favor and make sure that everyone who wears our flag on their uniform knows that you are our heroes. You and your service humble me every day. I tell my children all the time that, above all else, honor of God and honor of country are critical, and all else will fall into necessary priority behind those.

May God bless you in your time of service, as well as your family as they will be challenged without their husband and father for the next year. Again ... words cannot do justice, ... but thank you.

Take care of yourself brother! Be safe and get back home in time for our superbowl win!

Wow, and here I thought the army had a mandatory retirement age, guess not.

...yes, I'm kidding.

Anyway, good luck. And as they say in Apocalypse Now, if you find yourself in a helicopter, make sure you sit on your helmet. Oh, and bag some Al Queda for us.

My brother spent 16 months in Iraq 2 years ago. Everyone from their unit made it back. He said the #1 rule is forget about the "rules of engagement" shoot first. You can sort anything out when you get home. The important thing is getting home. I'll miss you bustin my balls with everything I write. Be safe and I pray that you and your unit make it back. Be careful.
