so if I have this right,
Option 1: we keep him. The cost of RB1 is 12.7M
Option 2: we toss him. The cost of RB1 is new RB cost plus 5.5 M, which means that if said new RB1 costs 7.2M or more, our costs actually go up
Option 3, we toss him with a June 1 release designation. The 5.5M dead money hit is evenly divided between 2023 and 2024, at 2.75M each
Is there an option 4? I dont see a trade as even remotely possible.
I guess I prefer Option 3
I would like to see them bring in a veteran RB who can catch and block, and of course, no matter what option they go with. I really dont want to draft a RB high unless some absolute superstar falls to us in r3 or later, but even then I'd prefer a 3 down TE.
