  1. Bateman supposedly in a walking boot. That is a big blow, if he can't go for the Ravens.
  2. Would love a Hurst extension.
  3. Highest run blocking grade via PFF was 51.5. All other starters failed to crack 50. That's the problem. Watching network feed you saw La'el fail miserably to get his head across on a backside block. Karras driven back on goal line stepping on Burrow's foot. Then Cappa getting set on his ass. Glass Eaters! If you can see that shit plain as day on Network feed it won't look pretty when breaking down an All-22. No creditable analyst would stick up for the push in the run game. Pass blocking wasn't great either but they got the ball out. This has to be a major point of improvement.
  4. I think run blocking has some more heavy lifting to go, without checking the individual runs it seemed the 1 yard or less carries had diminished. Not a whole lot of pressure from the Phins. I would think run blocking grades from PFF won't be great. Another top defense performance. Won the TO battle again. Really great job keeping Cheetah and Waddle in check (out of the endzone) and under 400 yards total offense. I didn't like the 4 and 1 play call (first half) and I think they should have had more than 3 points out of their first 2nd half drives that could have sealed the game instead of losing the lead. They really need to work to get that offense potential into offense production. But they won by 15 on the road and then an undefeated AFC team by 12. Not ugly wins by any means but probably 1 to 2 finishing drives from being dominating.
  5. I think the run blocking is shit. I had Mixon down for 1 carry that he should popped for more. Mixon had couple nice receptions.
  6. Left points on the field and Who Dey!
  7. Whit's HOF case probably would have been damaged IF he stayed in Cincy. He got 2 Conference Championships and a Superbowl to add to his legacy which, IMO, should put him over the top. Honestly, I don't think he would have lasted that long in the NFL extending with the Bengals under Marvin. The organization was stale and stuck trying to capture the lost glory of the 2015 season. They might have won a few more regular season games, maybe even qualified for the playoffs but as long as they were married to Marvin and Dalton playoff failures would have happened. Whit probably would have called it quits around 2018 or 19 when the bottom was falling out of the 2012-2015 group. Heck the Bengals even rolled Zac Taylor out there in his first 2 seasons with a ton of cap room dedicated to Marvin's old productive players trying to recapture that 2015 season.
  8. Yeah it should look like a giant Bengal helmet.
  9. Trey Hendrickson named AFC Defensive Player of the week off his thrashing of the Jets.
  10. Dirty play. NFL should take this off the ref's plate. 1. Install a targeting review. 2. Install a post game video review by a safety committee - assign suspensions/fines by Monday.
  11. The line has been garbage to start the season. It would be a guess they regressed from the same point in last season.
  12. Defense is top 10 in yards, points, and take aways. Miami on paper looks like the toughest offense the defense has faced so far, so I'm sure some of the rankings could drop after this week. The Jets offense even after being shut down on Sunday are still top 10 yardage. No matter what the rankings say the defense kept them in games the first 2 weeks and in the 3rd week when the offense came out of their hell hole the other team simply couldn't take the air out of the ball and more sacks and TOs came.
  13. Watching this St. Louis Battle Hawks broadcast on ESPN. 1. This production is so much better than ESPN Monday Night Football. I’ve watch the majority without having any vested interest. In recent years I can barely get through a MNF game even when Bengals are playing. 2. St. Louis showing out. Battle hawks needs to be NFL franchise. Enjoying this football than I thought I would.
  14. I encourage fellow NFL fans to boycott. I'm not watching. Not really because of politics or protest that's kinda the final straw for me. What really has pissed my off is the cost of attending and suspension of Burfict. So last week I was all geared up to get an early start to my NFL Sunday by watching Jags/Ravens. Then found out about the protest and decided it was enough. Didn't watch. Now the reality of "missing your team on TV". You really aren't missing anything. Through season tickets I've gotten NFL gamepass from the NFL for a few years. The biggest thing you notice is they have condensed games. It takes about 3.5+ hours for a broadcast game watching live and about 25 minutes condensed. In my estimation there's only about 10 minutes of key action. After Bengals/Packers ended. I knew the results almost immediately. Through this board and radio while running around I knew of keys plays. Through the aftermath of evaluation that goes on throughout the interwebs I've seen the key plays many times. Their league is unjust. Teams are favored over others. There's imbalance of competition from offense to defense. The officiating is horrendous. They are charging you a ton IF you like to watch live. I'm going to boycott to mostly make myself feel better but also to hope enough of a message can be sent for them correct the wrongs that have transpired under Goodell. I encourage other fans to join and not watch. But if you do that's cool because I'll be reading your updates. The big decision will come in February with ticket renewal. That's going to be tough decision. I will not be attending anymore games as my tickets have been sold or already given away.
