I'd think you'd have to knock down Paycor and start over. Lucas Oil connects to the convention center. Patrons can walk from convention floor to the 50 yard line underground through one of the endzones in about 10 minutes. Although, I don't think they'll ever get another Superbowl in Indy. Their set up was great. Lucas Oil is versatile. Cincinnati and a dome? I think they'd have to include massive plans for Convention Center/Hotel space. Connect it to the riverfront, because that's the best thing Cincinnati has over Indy, IMO. They'd also need to have a solution for the Coliseum. All these events have some sort of fan fest/convention tied to them.

Its OBJ on Run Pass Option plays. OBJ pulling to his right, prior to the snap he's looking right and Brian Burns is creeping closer inside making the backside cut off block from the TE harder or almost impossible. (One Gesicki and the other Sample). One Joe gave the ball and resulted in a loss. The other Joe pulled the ball and was completed pass down to the 2. Burns blew the one play up 4 yard loss and was close to blowing the other up but Joe got the ball out.
-
There's other issues that are big factors to make a dome a smart move, IMO. The people of Cincinnati always overlook reality. They are surrounded by better cities in terms of big event hosts. Indy has a ton of other events that boost their hotel and airport. Louisville does too. Nashville. When your talking big events that make a dome worth it. Its hard to get past CVG and its state post Delta. The lack of hotels. Then the convention center. These are big issues to consider before dropping more money on a dome. Not impossible but it'd be hard luring the Big 10 champ game out of Indy. Cincinnati will never have the KY derby month or Indy 500 2 months, state fairs and other stuff that make the investment in massive hotel expansion worth it completely. Although there are some new ones planned in NKY.

Goodberry. After watching, I think the QB TD scramble was actually a draw play Burrow checked into. I also think he missed an opportunity late in the game to check into one again. Giants also play very good coverage and overall solid defense. The Browns O-line is an issue its a combo of age/injury. Maybe Callahan choosing to join the Titans staff is a factor too. I would figure the Browns would play the youngest QB on the team soon. Unless they realize there's no logical way to remove Watson from the roster and they are stuck with him for 2025. I would think you'd want the highest possible draft pick to select the next lucky Browns QB. Do they still do that Jersey list of Browns starting QBs?

County exploring the possibility of putting a dome on Paycor. Not a against a dome at all, but at that point might as well build an entire new structure. The new domes that have been built put a lot of effort into having a dome but not feel like your in a dome.

Cooper is a solid WR not a superstar. Every team he's played for has dumped via a trade. Just very odd career path. IF the Bengals offense leaves the game in the balance they could easily lose to a Cooperless Browns team. The O-line should be playing for some pride. Coming off their worse game in what has been a very improved season. They've looked like crap up in Cleveland several times. The Browns defense talks a lot of shit while they are making fools of the Bengals o-line. Myles Garrett doing that cross over dribble then getting a sack. Hopefully they can get some revenge up in Cleveland its been really bad performances lately.
-
Garrett would represent $56m dead cap. His base salary is nothing there's some option bonus's for the next 2 seasons. Probably could get him cheap if your willing to take on some the cash due to him from the Browns. There's like 4 voidable years that has him counting $71m against their cap. Browns were playing chess alright.
-
Browns were back loading a lot of extensions right before and after the Watson deal. It was an apparent "all in" play. Didn't go the Browns way. Will be interesting to see how deep and fast the fire sale goes. Cooper $31m dead cap. I sure as hell hope they trade Garrett out of the conference or to us. Also funny Bills vs. Jets. Jets get Adams; Bills counter with Cooper. Wonder if they'll roll Chubb out there in a lost season with his recovery.

Warning flags flew for me with Myles Murphy from TC. Before injuries to Sample etc. he was running with the scrubs. So was Battle. Battle is now getting more and more snaps. I just don't have a whole lot of expectation for Murphy he really needs to step it up. Reddick would be a interesting option but he wants a new contract and that might cause some internal issues considering Trey Hendrickson is woefully underpaid. I'd also kick the tries on Max Crosby. Doubt any of this happens but its extremely difficult defending Lamar Jackson with all the trapping/counters they do. You need a solid rotation of guys that can just run and chase to slow these QBs down. It'd be nice to have a pass rusher but really you want guys that can mush rush, maintain a lane and then pursue. Getting into the backfield is almost a negative with these type of QBs.
-
I the love hustle and pursuit aspect these clips show. Those are going to be important factors if the division still features Jackson, Fields, and Watson. Youth and guys that can run and chase.

Eh, its fun to laugh at the Browns. So good read. IMO, nothing beats the rise and fall of Johnny Football. His star burnt so HOT and fast its a blip in the Battle of Ohio, but one of the best chapters. Also hard to beat the Bud Light refrigerators that wouldn't open until the Browns won a game. Since the return in 1999 fans and journalists have trumpeted numerous things that the Browns were doing that was going to usher in a dynasty of Browns dominance. Then they shit all over it when it fails. Fan/Journalist opinion is about the same quality these days. Just remember when the current mess is torn down and they start rebuilding and the hype rolls again. It wasn't long ago some Browns homer posed as a journalist was telling you the Watson contract was genius and would doom Baltimore and Cincinnati, Browns were playing Chess, and Ravens/Bengals playing checkers. Been a long time since they won up in Cleveland and it'd be nice to get that monkey off Burrow and Zac's back.
-
Just don't give the Browns locker room anything to rally around or against outside of Cleveland. Tickets are cheap mid-week but not down to the factory of sadness levels. If they hit that sub $50 range, It will be tempting to make the drive. I expect a tough grind it out game like the Giants. Nice to see some good McKinney reps. Hopefully Murphy and Ossai can come close to the QB at some point this season.
-
Feels like this game should be similar to the Giants game, maybe? 4.5 points seems like a lot. The Browns will be hearing it from their local media and fans all week, I'd expect some circling of the wagons and professional pride to kick in. Also the return of Chubb to the field will give them a boost. Hopefully the crowd stays home and Bengal fans gobble up the tickets. But the Bengals just won ugly and have heard the Browns got their number talk for a while, so hopefully they can get a win and move on.
-
Offensive missteps set that game up in the Giants favor regardless of who they had out. They could just sit and pound the ball going for every 4th down and the offense could never push it to 2 score lead until under 2 minutes. The offense scores more on the opportunities they had earlier in the game. The D probably gets more big plays and in the process may have given up more yards. The D never broke. The only TD came off a fortuitous endzone PI. If it always evens out, then the Bengals should be getting some the rest of the season.
-
Supreme effort by the Defense! Went into the game knowing the Giants offense sucked but was sure they'd give up 20 points and 350 yards. Nope didn't happen. Then on top of that, the offense really hung them out to dry allowing the Giants to play to their strengths in what was a 1 score and then 1 FG game except for the last 2 minutes after Brown scored. Just a great effort by the D. I'll never look to deeply into a win on Sunday Night Football. Especially one on the road. Just last year they broke some incredible streak of not winning in prime time on the road in Jacksonville. Then NBC Sunday Night Football was just constant bad news under Marvin for so long. Nice to see the few highlights in a victory. Obviously Joe Burrow was not comfortable but he still shows MVP caliber with just a couple plays that get you a win. I don't know if its good or bad but they'll probably have to win this type of game up in Cleveland this week.
-
The what if game is always complicated and often short sighted but its rarely so simple and clear as it is with the Bengals. 1. No flag in KC 2. Make FG vs Ravens Boom two huge wins. 3-2. Everyone would be talking about hammering the Giants and hopefully not looking past them. Buts and Ifs were candy and nuts you'd be my sister's uncle or something like that. It'd be nice for a big victory on prime time. Lou's defense bleeds yards and points and Giants play good D. Prime Time on the road, feels like this one will be close nail biter.
-
Edit make this more simple. Lou's defense sucked in 2019 and 2020 with Jessie Bates. He had average defenses by any objectionable measure in 2021,2022. It was awesome playoff games and results that saved Lou from getting run out of town. His 2023 defense sucked and he sold on blind faith to Bengal Nation that it was all Dax Hill's fault along with Nick Scott. He got his safeties. These moves were applauded by a lot of people. Now his defense sucks again.... "well he needs Jessie Bates" You can check the record his defense suck with Jessie Bates too. What do you really think the issue is? How many more FAs and draft picks do we have to throw under bus to make excuses for a guy that has never had a top defense? In the summertime practices when game planning is less of a focus. His defense performed very well against a group that is now among the top 10 of the NFL. Dominated the Colts in a joint practice. Played average defense weeks 1 and 2. Its not because of talent when his defense goes to shit weeks 3-5.
-
Yeah the offense sucked so bad people though Joe's wrist was damaged. I already pointed that out. They sucked because the defense performed very well in practices that typically don't involve game planning. Kinda odd. People can believe what they want. IMO, the gap is so big between what went on in TC, Weeks 1 and 2 vs. Weeks 3-5 that its stupid to conclude well these guys that have a bunch of starts in the NFL aren't NFL caliber. Its more plausible to believe that Lou's magic hat has run dry. I'm sure Joe could have met immediately with Zac after MNF, to complain about the lack of Jessie Bates, DJ Reader. Its more realistic he see the holes in the defensive game plan. How many more starting caliber free agents does Lou need? How many draft picks should he get? IMO, his ass is problem No. 1 and should be on the hot seat. Keep mind the level of defense needed. No one has ever held Lou to the standard of Zimmer. He just needs to get back to mediocre yardage/points defense.
-
What Higgins can't run? Burrow can't throw? Because Stone, Bell and just about every defender had them frustrated every day at camp. Was that made up? How many Free Agents and draft picks does Lou need to make his system reach mid pack of the NFL? The only one that is washed is Lou, period. Keep in mind we are not talking about needing NFL caliber safeties to recreate Trent Dilfer Baltimore Ravens or Monster of the Midway. Lou has plenty of NFL talent to achieve his Bengal high water mark of being a mid pack yardage allowed defense and points allowed defense. That level of defense has them 5-0, 4-1. Hell they are almost that with this shit defense. Just because he's being out coached doesn't mean players all of sudden are washed. In August, they played so well vs Burrow/Higgins etc people actually tried to create a narrative that Joe's wrist was damaged. Keep in mind a month later Joe is playing like an MVP vs. other NFL defenses. The blame is mostly Lou. You can watch him all game long in multiple games give the opposing offense easy yards on 2nd down. His bend don't break philosophy isn't working. In TC. They know the Bengals scheme on D and O. Its talent v. talent. Defense won many days down there. The D won a bunch vs. the Colts in controlled practice. Lou and the D had a decent week 1 and week 2 vs. his standard. You start interjecting game plan and scheme the distance between what was August reality vs. the past 3 weeks is too far off the mark to only be explained well this guy is washed. Doesn't make sense. How many more Free Agents that are NFL starters or top 150 draft picks does Lou need to get a 15th ranked yardage D? Hold an opponent under 30 points?
-
Probably the saddest part about the season and overall record is Joe Burrow is having MVP type season so far. Has played 1 bad half and after that has been great. Chase after two slow starts is on fire as well. Just a flip of a couple plays and Joe has wins over Pat and Lamar and tied for first. Crazy to think about it. Qbs with over 150 attempts. He leads the league in Passer rating 113. Completion percentage. TDs. Tied for lowest Int. 6th in yards. Through 5 games. Defense was looking so good in camp vs. Joe people thought his wrist was falling off, lol.
-
Bullshit. Geno Stone was a lot of people's best FA signing. Lou jumped out of his skin to get Vonn Bell. Who was a prized Carolina signing and a player most fans didn't want to lose to Carolina. Go look at the preseason training camp reports about how good this defense was doing. They were doing so fucking good, Joe's wrist was about to fall off apparently. Now you hit regular season AND nobody can play in the NFL? What a bunch of bullshit. Lou is shitting the bed 2 seasons in a row. The "talent" excuse or lack of talent excuse for Lou is about to get tested these two weeks. Giants and Browns are horrible on offense. It would not shock me they score and gain above their average.
-
Saleh was a horrible head coach. Might be a good DC but not good HC.
-
Is it really the safeties? I think the league has figured out Lou. 1 year with young newly starting safeties that excuse can fly. Same issue in year 2 with 2 bona fide NFL starting safeties? yeah not buying it. QBs know to go with the ball quickly vs. his calls. Lou's defenses have never been good vs. yardage rankings. He has made his calling on some wonderful playoff games. In 2020 this defense played almost to the extact same level and we are seeing today. I think they lost/tied a couple games in which Burrow led comebacks only to give it up in the last minutes. Next two weeks they have Giants and Browns. It shouldn't be hard to hold them at their current offensive averages.
-
It felt like there were a million 3rd and less than 3 for Baltimore in this game. Baltimore is a tough offense to stop and that's been consistent when Lamar plays. They are consistently top 10 in his era. I feel the first half defense effort was about the best you could expect from that unit. In the 2nd half, unfortunately you had to play perfect football on offense. A bad TO and a bad hold doom you to 1-4. Not fair for what is now a top 10 yardage offense and top 5 scoring offense. They have two bad offenses coming up and if they can't slow them down to get wins. Then its time to fire some staff mid-season.

Great googly moogly Chad.
