  1. No shit? Italian Sub back at Arbys? First Diet Cherry Coke back and now Arbys Italian Sub. Fuck yeah.
  2. Mike Brown was voted sexiest Lumina owner sometime in the 90s.
  3. If Bengals can get Myles Garret to spit on Burrow before game, that's the best pass pro adjustment that will be made all day.
  4. Browns D-line will be a challenge for sure. I just don't think it will be wise of Burrow to look to extend plays early in the game. I think he needs to get the ball out or throw it away. I really think early on it should be dink and dunk from the Bengals and can a very talented group yac their way to manageable late downs/distance? Bengals should be able to put all 3 backs in on any down and be confident in pass pro and pass reception ability. That's a huge plus in this game, BUT the QB has to want to be boring and sometimes that hasn't been the case with Burrow in first season games. That was also a mentioned strength of Fant. Just had a knack for getting that extra yard turning a 3rd and short to a First. I think they'll need that mentality because at home that front 7 is going to fly around. Of course the line can't get manhandled and that's happened enough as well.
  5. My favorite Battle of Ohio was Johnny Football first start. The optimism was so high and they were thinking Superbowl then crash, thud, bang.
  6. Number 1 - No one can disappoint on opening day like the Bengals. So yeah, I'd expect a win but we all know how that goes especially on the road up in Cleveland. Defensive depth chart is interesting. I'd expect to see Newton on the field as well Murphy, Jenkins and Stewart a lot. So it will be interesting how exactly they use Dax Hill and then get a D-line rotation going. Bengals need to put scoring pressure on the Browns. If they lose while scoring less than 23 points its on the offense, IMO. They return every piece on offense and up graded both guard spots. Get the ball out of your hand early and let your athletes put points on the board.
  7. That Cowboys show on Netflix and this happening is funny. Jerry Jones and Jimmy still argue over who's idea it was to trade Herschel Walker. A trade they got soundly roasted just like Micah Parsons. One of those things you can't measure is once the player gets paid how do they perform afterward. There's a lot of pressure coming in a being the savior of a franchise. Of course I'm sure Green Bay is thinking Reggie White and what that move did for the franchise along with Favre. The contract itself is big money of course, BUT wait for the details. J'mar Chase could still be the highest paid in terms of real money. J'mar can reasonable expect $138m in 4 years. Micah's $136m doesn't beat that so it depends how much funny money is in the void years.
  8. Foster is an interesting flyer. Obviously bad that Jags cut bait on such a high pick that early. According to Jaguar info he was a healthy scratch most of last year and really did not stand out at all. I remember him from the Senior Bowl which was a loaded tackle class. Bengals obviously scouted tackles and Tobin was noted watching the tackles intently at that particular senior bowl. Of course they took Mims (don't think he was at Senior bowl). He had plenty of reps against 1st round team mate Darius Robinson (Pick 27 Edge Cardinals). Was on a stand out list a couple times but also struggled at times too.
  9. Pass on Wilkins he was let go because some lockeroom issues and the rumors are very weird.
  10. At worse Risner is depth. Whether or not that's good depth or if he can displace a starter remains to be seen. I think its questionable because I can't see an available capable starting guard going for so cheap and being available for so long. In addition, one of his rumored visits was Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh cut Max Scharping then resigned him. So???
  11. Dalton from the Double Deuce signed. So there will have to be a corresponding release.
  12. Spotrac has the breakdown as $9m base salary. $20m signing bonus. First time I can recall them using the "void" year but it leaves them with $10-11m dead cap next year. This makes the franchise tag at the normal value and very much doable for Trey, I think.
  13. Keeping 8 on the OL is a shock, IMO. Cochran? did not see that coming and had him squarely in as swing tackle. My guess there is some sort of addition coming. Not that I count every year but 8 total OL seems rare.
  14. I go with a jersey on game day. Once it gets cold you can't beat a hoodie under the jersey combo.
  15. Nevermind for now or anytime. Anybody with this mindset is a waste, adverse to actual thought. Sure, its easy to write an article about what could have been done IF this move flops. Dehner needs to go back and write a couple more Right Guard articles and how they invented the wheel. Go watch his highlights. There are too many sack fumbles to count. He's easily the best Bengal pass rusher in my lifetime. Quite frankly any team deemed a Superbowl Contender should be thrown on the same stove the Bengals Front Office constantly are because they didn't want to give up a first round pick. All those other teams are more interested in draft picks than winning.
  16. Bengals had 3 years $95m on the table. So it was in the budget and they probably planned paying him $55-65m over 2 years. I think IF he plays like the last 2 years he's tagville unless another defender steps up. The harder part will be if he sinks back down to 11 sacks or whatever. Probably tagville sucking up cap room then trying to work a trade. Edit: From above it looks like the 2 year number was $55m neighborhood.
  17. On this board I hope we are all fighting with each other over Trey drama next year. It simply means he had a great season again. I hope we are all fighting over half dozen other young defenders about how to get them extended. Good teams have contract drama, period. Go watch the Bulls or Cowboys documentary on Netflix. Its constant drama because GOOD players attract attention and money. The only true anxiety Bengal fans should have IS IF this group will get it done in the next 3 seasons. We have been there before with a loaded team captained by the Red Rifle and Marvin. Choke. At the end of the day. 1st they told us Cincinnati would ruin Burrow. Then when that was proven false, they told us poverty franchise couldn't keep the band together. Well fuck them and fuck anybody that believe that BS. The time has arrived. If they don't get the job done then of course the Hot Take producers will move the goal posts.
  18. Browns trade Pickett.
  19. Its 120% of previous salary. What if some of the new money is called a roster bonus? Edit: Cap hit of estimated $36m would be in range of Crosby and well under TJ Watt. Myles Garrett is the best deal this year and next but years 3 and 4 are risky for Browns. Supposed Bengals offer was 3 year $95. 1 year guaranteed.
  20. Trey is DONE! According to Ian Rapoport. Or I guessing closing in on it.
  21. Trey puts up good stats when hunting for a contract.
  22. 1 year deal would be the KC/Chris Jones approach after he sat out the 1st game.
  23. AJ had some sort of shoulder injury or so the story goes.
  24. I'm sure its happened before but not often. Top 150 picks typically don't get exposed to Practice Squad the first year. I would think most make it on the active roster for at least 2 years.
  25. It didn't sound like they were planning on cutting Kenny Pickett either. Are they really going to go with 4 Qbs on 53? Plus Watson on PUP?
