  1. Since I’m up for some stupid reason at 4:30am, of course this conversation prompted at mock draft. This is kind of what I’m talking about, although on a side note, if Higgins is gone, WR2 jumps up the priority list in my opinion. #18- Amarius Mims, ORT, Georgia #49- Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas #80- Johnny Wilson, WR, Florida St. #111- Jared Wiley, TE, TCU Maybe grab a CB somewhere in the 4th? Who knows, but LB is probably in there later as well.
  2. At this point, based on current projections, there should be some solid talent available to the Bengals in the first round that would not only be the BPA, but also hit a need for them. Again, at this point, it is looking like there should also still be starter quality guys at both RT and DT into the 2nd round. I wouldn’t take issue with a CB like McKinstry in the first either. Awuzie looks terrible this year and Turner coming on in his 2nd year is no guarantee, but I also won’t complain in them giving him the chance to do that and pass up CB early. I was thinking TE early again, but I think it can now wait. I really like Tanner Hudson and want him to start camps as TE1. Burrow loves him as well and they had something going before the injury. With damn near every TE, being a FA, they have to backfill at some point. Right now I’m still firmly in with DT, Jer’zahn Newton, Illinois with our first round pick. Unless someone happens to fall at RT, my next in line in the first is RT, Amarius Mims, Georgia should Newton be gone. I’m still not much past the 4th round in looking at prospects yet. Slow year…
  3. Went and took a look at the Pickett fake slide and agree even more.
  4. I have watched it a bunch and have gone back and forth with what I saw. Then I decided to slow it down and Allen switches up his footing from a downfield run to a position appearing to initiate a slide. While he didn’t slide, it does appear his foot movement, indicating a slide was what gave the defender enough of a pause to allow Allen to get past him. While at full speed, it’s hard to tell if he was intending to slide or simply changing direction. What do I know though?
  5. Meaning… they are going to keep doing the same dumb shit they always do. My bad, I’m tired, my back hurts, and generally feel like shit.
  6. Cleveland’s going to Cleveland !!
  7. Oh my God. This is so good. The Browns and Steelers both lose and the icing on the cake was Mayfield and the Bucs knocking off the defending NFC champs. Priceless !! To make it even better, Tomlin leaves the press conference like a bitch when asked about his contract. Here’s to wishing the Browns and Steelers more of the same in 2024 !!!
  8. Story of the Cowboys. Look dominate at times, while tearing up the regular season. Get to the playoffs and get shitted on !!
  9. He’s pumped. Thanks !!
  10. Maybe the Browns should have drafted Bo Callahan after all…
  11. Yes, the Lions on the NFC side of things. Not because I like them so much, but I like the story. It's not like the Lions are in the playoffs every year and shit. Then you have Stafford going back to Detroit to play, with both him and Goff going against their former teams. I would like to see the Lions send the Rams packing. Give me the Texans and Lions in the Super Bowl. That might seem boring to some, but I would love that shit !!!
  12. Will be rooting hard for the Texans obviously, but will be traveling and missing parts. Outside of them, I don't have a dog in the fight and don't really care that much. Yeah, no Steelers, Browns and Chiefs.
  13. Good, I will need a place to crash !!
  14. There is a lot of dysfunction within that list of teams.
  15. I went and looked up the coaching staff as well. I was just too curious at that point. Crazy some of the names associated with that team. Stupid Browns...
  16. Bulking phase huh? Nice choice.
  17. Couldn’t agree more. One more loss to Michigan will surely cost Ryan Day his job. Not until next year though…
  18. This is why I want to see a change with Pollack. Bring in someone capable working up a new guy. That has been a struggle for them through the years. I'm more than ok going after a RT in the 2nd or 3rd round. Sooner rather than later in my opinion. Even a guy like Mims if they need to in the first. Then there are others like Jordon Morgan that should be there in the 2nd. I'm sure there will be other options, but I haven't gotten that far down the draft yet.
  19. I agree with all of this talk about the secondary. I like CTB, Dax and Battle a lot and think they continue to get better. I think getting another vet safety would be very helpful. However, I also think they need to address CB in the draft or FA. Awuzie is a free agent and hasn't really come back from injury. If he continues on his current trend, he's done. I don't see much of anything happening at DE and can't say that bothers me. DT and LB however have questions to answer and/or holes to fill as well. I'm more confident heading into this offseason at this point than I was at the start of the season. Oh, and I want the coaching questions answered sooner rather than later.
  20. I honestly thought the Jets were going to be a team to compete with Rodgers as the QB, then he got hurt and things got weird. It's whatever at this point, but they have him through 2024. They still need to be looking at a QB for the future. Rodgers is a headcase at this point, despite me thinking he's still an above average QB.
  21. Yeah, Pitcher probably is in line for that one here. Not sure why I forgot him. I simply remember Burrow praising Joe Brady when the Bills made him their interim offensive coordinator. Given their previous history and Burrow's obvious respect for him, like I said, he jumped in my head. Like everything else during the off season, it's a wait and see.
  22. I guess it would depend on how a given fan wants to view a "good" season. If they view good as regular season wins, regardless of postseason wins, they have had many. If they view it based on postseason success, 2021 and 2022 are the only beacons of success since not only 2003, but all the way back to 1990. Mind you, I don't really care how someone wants to view it, just saying.
  23. Yeah, that wouldn’t really bother me either. The question becomes, who replaces him? Maybe a guy like Joe Brady, who is the Bills interim offensive coordinator, after getting hired as their QB coach? The plus side to him is that he would probably be good with Zac calling plays, along with the fact he coached with Burrow and Chase at LSU. Maybe not, but he jumped in my head.
  24. Agree with most all of that. About the above, Reader is either brought back or they draft DT high. Maybe both. BJ Hill is an unrestricted free agent in 2025 and they need to keep him as well. I'd be happy with Jer'Zahn Newton the DT out of Illinois in the first. He's actually my #1 target at this point in time (subject to change)... I'd be willing to let almost anything else slide in the TE room, as long as they bring Hudson back as the #1 from day one. All the other TE's on the roster combined still = dog shit. Chase and Higgins both getting done would be MASSIVE in my opinion. Couldn't agree more !!
  25. I have no issue with seeing a backfield of Mixon and Brown in 2024. However, Brown needs more carries than he got in 2023. 257 carries for Mixon to 44 for Brown is what 2023 had for the season. The only thing less impressive than Sample's 163 receiving yards, was Irv Smith Jr.'s 115. That dude sucked balls this year.
