  1. Yes, actually you do. It starts at 5 foot even for men. Fortunately for me, 5'7 was more than acceptable. On the bright side, a smaller stature makes for a smaller target !! That and I had no issues cramming my ass into the back of the vehicle with a full load out, while taller guys struggled.
  2. Moss is still two inches taller than me. Talk about getting dwarfed by Brown and Mims !!
  3. That video of Brown and Mims walking in together is interesting. Both are about the same size and weight, but the way they carry that weight is completely different. Not a knock but Brown looks fat where Mims looks like a lab built monster.
  4. Trent Brown starts camp on the non-football injury list. Mims will at least be getting 1st team reps to start in camp. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him beat out Brown. I don’t expect it, but wouldn’t be shocked.
  5. I really hate social media with every ounce of my being. I try to avoid it at all costs. Thanks for the update though !! Being a buzz cut kind of guy myself, I like the look !!
  6. I honestly have no idea what the issue has been with the agonizingly slow starts. I won't pin it all on not getting preseason reps, camps being too soft, weight/cardio training, or food in the dining facility. It could be any of that, all of that, a combination of that, or even none of that. I would be speculating at best. That all being said, something hasn't gone right in each of the years which has led to slow starts. Burrow being injured, sick, or having surgery while camp is going on doesn't exactly help either. Not that it's his fault, but that plays a part. A healthy (fingers crossed) Joe Burrow would be welcomed in 2024. Again, them acknowledging it's an issue and being willing to try something different to address it is half the battle. Will what they do work? I have no idea. Even if they start fast, it might not even be a product of what they did. Crap shoot.
  7. Not on social media, so can't see. Sure it will show up elsewhere.
  8. I will applaud them for making ANY effort to not come out week one looking like they just learned how to play football. These first few weeks over the last handful of years have just been embarrassing.
  9. So the Bengals are serious and talking about an extension for Ja’Marr but Mike doesn’t necessarily expect to get it done this year ?? Someone is really going to have to explain why they would want to wait when prices do nothing but go up. Doesn't seem like the best approach to me but what do I know?
  10. I just sent that link to him. Hilarious !!
  11. They all need preseason reps. If only a couple of series in the game, but something to help them all get in the same page and achieve the ever elusive fast start.
  12. $15 million dollars for the first 4 years if the guy hits is so ridiculously lopsided for the team it's unbelievable. Thank you rookie wage scale !! Glad this is done, but knew it would be.
  13. Now Mims is the only 1st round pick that remains unsigned. Any other excuses to not get this done? While I’m sure it will, this is just silly.
  14. Run on your own gas was one of the most ridiculous slogans I have ever heard. Made me laugh hysterically !!
  15. Parrish and Lap for 2025.
  16. Annnnnnnnnnd Hunter Greene gets into the All Star game and promptly gives up a 2 run homer and he takes the "L" for the National League. Way to represent Greene... Ugh Reds 2024 in a microcosm.
  17. I had high hopes for Robbins. No idea why he struggled last year. Have no idea how the other punter might fare either. Pretty much clueless. Position battle sounds like a plus at that spot, so good? Ok, great...
  18. My expectations through the first 4 weeks of the season: Patriots @Chiefs Commanders @Panthers If they are anything other than 3-1 (at worst) I will consider this part of the schedule a failure. Both the Patriots and Commanders are featuring first year QB's and coaches. The Panthers with a first year coach and second year failing QB. The Chiefs are the only of those teams with any type of continuity and stability.
  19. My personal truth is that I have no idea other than speculating. Let me give it a try however... I think the o-line should be at least somewhat better. I like the addition of both T. Brown and A. Mims at the RT tackle spot. It's at least a wash from Jonah in 2023. We need a healthy season from Cappa and more improvement from Volson and OB Jr. from last year. I think Karras is fine. I think the WR's are fine. The loss of Boyd will be mitigated by the addition of Gesicki and Burton/Jones. The tight end room looks to be better than last year with Gesicki having an opportunity for a big season. Still think we should have locked him up for two years. a 6'6 TE who can catch and make plays is nice to have. RB is a concern in that I just don't know if Zack Moss is going to be able to replicate what he did over a short period in Indy and translate it into a whole season. If he does, we have a steal in acquiring him. Chase Brown getting more snaps can only be seen as a positive. I liked Mixon, but if those two stay healthy, they should be able to come close to replicating as well. For the D-line, the starters of Hubbard, Hendrickson, Rankins and Hill seems like a little of a drop without Reader, but I like the depth of Murphy at DE and Jenkins at DT. Would it be too much to ask Carter and Ossai/Sample to have at least solid seasons in rotation? I'm more hopeful than anything. The linebackers seem fine at the starting positions, but I do not share the same comfort level with the depth that others seem ok with. I've said for years, this is a position I feel they should address more, but this is where we are. Better hope for no injuries in that group. Cornerbacks could be a problem or could be great. I'm left to be hopeful with DJ Turner starting opposite of CTB. I'm interested to see what Dax might be able to help with in his switch from safety. I heard good things coming out about the coaches thoughts on Josh Newton, although I am not yet a fan of that pick and then you have Ivey who is coming back from injury that appeared to be coming along well last year. Not exactly comfortable here either. I actually like the addition of Stone to the safety group. Hard to fathom them being worse in 2024. Vonn Bell coming back will add veteran leadership and an understanding of the defense, if nothing else. Battle will be pushing for the starter spot vs Bell from day one. The depth appears thin there as well, but I like this group. Low bar to achieve better results from last year, so there's that. Overall, while I have my concerns I think Zac and the front office did about a good a job as they could getting the roster together for this coming season. While some might not pan out, there is great potential for this team in 2024 should they hit. Stone and Gesicki have the potential for monster years on their respective sides of the ball, with Zack Moss right behind them. Please God let Burrow stay healthy and this team dominate in 2024. Amen.
  20. I'm serious, having the team ready week one is my one and only "want". Make it happen Zac. It's like the #1 seed is lost in the first few weeks or they are playing catch up to it the rest of the season and falling short. A post season that runs through Cincinnati would be a much better scenario then having to go back to Buffalo and/or KC. After going to both of those venues a couple years ago, I want those games here at Paycor.
  21. I want to see camp aim at one goal and one goal only, outside the obvious no injuries… Do whatever the hell they have to do to have them ready week one. I’m sick of hearing about starting fast, only to see them come out completely flat and take the “L”.
  22. I was taking a look at the schedule and the games I'm most interested in catching down at the stadium are: Week 1 (Patriots)- It's week 1. There really shouldn't be an explanation needed. Week 3 (Commanders)- Monday night at home against Jayden Daniels. I love Monday night games and want to see the kid play Week 8 (Eagles)- This could be an early look at a potential Super Bowl matchup. It should be a really good game. Week 9 (Raiders)- My buddy and our families always catch Raiders games together. Always a good time. Maybe week 17 (Broncos) but it will depend on how the season shakes out. I hate seeing the division games live due to the stupidity of the fans. Those games seem to be more ignorant than most. The only road games I may see is if they go on the road for the playoffs. Outside of that, probably not. I'm planning a couple of road trips with my son to catch the Texans this year though. Always a lot of fun. Couple that with Friday night high school games and Buckeyes games on Saturday and life will once again make sense to me.
  23. So no long term deal for Higgins it appears. Not like we didn't see that one coming a mile away. While it sucks, because I like Tee so much, it's a part of how things play out. Just win one this year while he's still on the roster.
  24. Ok and I'm back up and running on my desktop. Appreciate the help gentlemen !!
  25. I haven’t messed with it all weekend, so I will give it a try and see about resetting the password again. Thanks for looking into it !!
