So to this point in free agency… LB Oren Burks- needed, could compete for starter snaps, finished last year strong for the Eagles. I’m good there. DT TJ Slaton- again needed and hoping we get more from him than Rankins last year. Wish there was more pass rush but good run stopper. I’m good there. Cam Sample, Ossai and Marco Wilson- I’m fine with Sample, not overjoyed. Wilson cost next to nothing so ok. Hoping Ossai takes advantage of this opportunity. BJ Hill- Better than fine. I always liked what we got from him in that trade of Price. Happy there. Perine- really happy to have his pass blocking back again. My second favorite free agent signing. Gesicki- fucking fuck yeah !! My favorite signing to this point. Think he’s an above average TE, Burrow likes him and we end the one year deals. Stability there is good. Still work to do.

Don’t get me wrong. I don’t want Trey to go anywhere. If he does, I want the ridiculous offer. Hoosier’s suggestion is about as low as they should entertain.

Heard the Eagles were thinking about Trey but the asking price is “ridiculous”. Tell me… what draft pick at #32 can you say has averaged 17.5 sacks over their last two seasons in college and you can pretty much bank on being a double digit sack guy in 2025. We aren’t talking a top 10 pick here.

To be honest I haven’t paid a ton of attention, or at least not as much, with free agency this year. I looked at the top remaining free agents out there as of today in PFF. (They were just the first one up in the Google search, not my affinity for them). Jenkins Zeitler Becton Scherff Hernandez Risner Those are the top OG’s remaining. I was surprised some of the names still out there at other positions as well. Nine of which were DE’s.

My wife love it too. I think it’s overpriced garbage. They try to get cute with ingredients and it ends up ruining the food. Just gross. Maybe it’s me just being simple. Give me Cracker Barrel meatloaf and mashed potatoes with a side of corn or carrots.

With Trey, I think it was them simply kicking the argument about compensation another year into the future but knew it was an issue. Should he have bet on himself and not sign the deal given? I would guess yes, but many times that doesn’t pan out. Agree more on him than the FO, but here we are. Also agree with not thinking they had long term plans for Tee. I have always thought he was the odd man out and then Burrow and Burton happened. I still think they cheaper out when extensions were coming last year for WR. Had they simply offered him Pittman’s deal for Indy, he would have bought. That was 3 years at $23.3m per year, with an out after two which would have protected the Bengals. They paid Tee 21.3 in 2024 on the tag. Now they are looking closer to $30m. Chase? I guess they figured for how little they paid him last year, it makes up for a little of what they pay him now. Although they would love to only pay him his $21m club option for 2025. So would I but that shits foul.

I get that but he’s been solid recently and has stayed healthy. If I remember when he came out of college some questioned him playing OT with his shorter arms, thought a move inside might be his way, and that he may take some time to develop. I would be fine seeing if he’s just hitting his potential on a deal structured where the Bengals have an out. His signing still wouldn’t keep me from drafting an OG.

Didn’t realize Tevin Jenkins, the LG from the Bears was out there. He had some injury concerns early on but has done well in recent seasons. Get him and Zeitler for the o-line.

We are both happy about it. That dude was a walking penalty last year. You can’t pay that much to your blindside protector and have them be a liability. Tunsil is not what he use to be.
