  1. I would like to know how the o-line rated in yesterday's game. Not giving up a sack was a really nice change of pace. I thought Mims play was encouraging.
  2. The only thing I can hang a hat on for this game is they know what they are up against and have had some success here and there. I don't think the plan is going to change much this time around. I think the execution of that plan is where it all comes apart for the defense. My only hope is for a shootout we come out ahead on. That being said, I don't expect that to be the case. I'm expecting a two TD loss, but won't be shocked if they win either. Not exactly what I was expecting out of them heading into week 5, but here we are. 1-3 instead of 3-1. Stinks.
  3. I watched Burrow's presser after the game and thought to myself... Who's taking questions for the defense ?? I don't need to hear from Burrow today. I know what and why I saw what I did from the offense. I have no idea WTF the defense is doing and why they are that bad. Sure two starting DT's are out. Got it. Really though? Can't figure out a way to the fuck off the field? The two starting DT's being out has nothing to do with guys not tackling and taking poor angles. Come up with some other excuse Lou, because this looks really pathetic.
  4. Regarding the game today… Our defense sucks. That’s all.
  5. No worries, I took it off after the game and it’s hanging in wait for next week !! I’m going to put this team on my shoulders and get us to the post season even if the smells takes out my family !!
  6. Thanks Geno !!
  7. Well I was thinking and I’m ditching my Burrow jersey and going back to my Geno Atkins jersey for week #4. A win is on the way.
  8. My wife wants to retire in Florida and I'm not feeling that at all. I more of a sit on my back porch and see mountains kind of guy. Honestly, I love Cincinnati, but hate the winters here. Not even snowy anymore. Just overcast, rainy, depression for 4+ months. No thank you. Just get a win Bengals !!
  9. Yeah, then there's that. What's the outcome of doing that? Is it really changing much on the field? Again, he always just struck me as someone who WOULD be more vocal and I was surprised to hear that. However, as the QB of the team and getting paid as one of the best in the league, he SHOULD be vocal. Wins would be nice at this point.
  10. No worries, apparently Burrow is going to be "a more vocal leader". Not sure what he has been doing, but that's something I thought he would have done understanding he is, well... the leader of the team. Said he picks his spots. While not making an apples to apples comparison, that took me back to Carson and his laid back approach. It's not me being critical of him either. I just thought he was more vocal. I caught me off guard.
  11. Now you did it. Burrow shows up in a pair of Temu jeans, they unravel while walking in and he breaks his leg. Chase gets attacked by a rabid gang of sexually frustrated racoons. The entire o-line gets shingles. Zack Moss suddenly decides to retire to pursue a career in gay porn. Logan Wilson gets trampled by a horse while back in Wyoming for a quick visit. I don't want to worry anyone, but I mean there's 5 for you right there....
  12. Mims is actually one of the players I'm looking forward to watching as the season goes forward. Just hoping and praying he stay healthy. That would be a surprise bonus to the o-line season.
  13. How about 7 picks of nothing but offensive and defensive linemen? and a linebacker…..
  14. So another rookie that has had moderate success coming into this game (Legette). I should go ahead and pick him up in my fantasy league as he’s about to go 25 receptions for 300 yards and 5 TD’s.
  15. Hey, we have to have "our" thing. I'm not on Tic Toc or any social media and my buddy said there was a clip out there saying the Bengals are 0-3 because Joe Burrow is a lesbian. Now, I must say on one hand Burrow is no lesbian. However, that shit sounds hilarious. People do tend to focus on his outfits an awful lot. That and many times he looks like one of the high school kids I see walking around.
  16. An in season trade for one of the best defensive players in the entire league at a position I think desperately needs it? Well fuck yes !! Oh wait, we're still talking about the Bengals ?? Never mind. That's lunacy.
  17. I think I'm going to do a mock draft for 2025...
  18. Who had the over/under at 3 games before Trent was taking a cart ride resulting in his season being over? That being said, I have no idea what this team is. Odd thing is, this all seems vaguely familiar. Hmmmmmm. Honestly nothing would surprise me at this point. Betting against Dalton would be a mistake. Yes, I said that. Next is this team cannot stop the run. Like at all. They also suck at tackling and taking poor angles. Sounds like something the defensive coaches might want to address sooner rather than later. Then again, it's only been three weeks. There's time. UGH
  19. I don't know what Daniels will or won't be moving forward but damn near every throw he made last night was right on his guy. That TD throw was fucking amazing and what a catch. Go back and take a look at the 55 yarder to set up his rushing TD. That was the one over Cam's dumb ass. Fucking DOT... It's only 3 weeks, but if he keeps that up, the Commanders will be right there at season's end.
  20. Those 4th down conversions killed the Bengals yesterday. The Commanders go 3-3 on 4th down and each of them was pretty impactful. They picked them up, we couldn't defend and that made all the difference in the game. When checking the trusty dusty stat sheet, you will see an offense that played a solid game for the most part. There won't be many times where they put up 30+ points and lose. The defense did them no favors last night. Oh and special teams allowing a 62 yard kick was less than helpful. They did what I was expecting in running the ball and our two starting DT's in the tub didn't help either. While we gained more rushing yards than they did, they ran the ball 32 times and were effective with that approach. They were 3 of 3 inside the redzone where we were 2-4. That and Mac missing a FG hurt them as well. One last note... Hey Cam, could you please just shut the fuck up now? That's two straight games we have to hear him run his mouth only to see him get toasted with the long ball and the team loses the game. What was the comment this week? Oh yeah, "Nice college offense". How did that work out for you stupid? Dumber still was his response when asked about it and him saying he doesn't regret it because he didn't mean anything malicious by it. Yeah really? Did you ask the Commanders offense how they viewed that non-malicious comment for the whole week leading up to a primetime game? You sir, win the dumbass award for two weeks running. Maybe he will talk some shit about Dalton and go for the trifecta of stupidity... Fuck off Cam !!
  21. That being said, last night was a prime example of why I still go some of the game. Primetime game, the stadium was rocking, and the Ring of Honor celebration for a couple greats. Then you get to the game and as irritating as the results were, you had big plays and got to see an upcoming star in Daniels. Those two TD's to Chase saw the stadium explode and my son and I were going crazy with the rest of the fans. I mean those times can just be electric and make memories for my son and I that attend the games together. Just like being at the Raiders playoff game, seeing the curse broke and just being with the fans in that moment in time. I was almost in tears when we won that game, fans stuck around to bask in the playoff win and my son still talks about that. Then there are the memories I have with my father. I saw every team in the NFL play when I was young. Some of the all time greats. I was at both the freezer bowl and Super Bowl XVI with my dad when I was 10. My father and I had a tough adult relationship, but we always had the Bengals to keep things on the level. As much as the Bengals infuriate me, they hold a place that brings a lot of joy my way. I think that's why people won't ever stop supporting the team. Such is life...
  22. For so many years before I retired from the Army, all I wanted to do was get season tickets like my dad had when I was growing up. I never did. I have been to many games but not nearly the amount it could have cost me had I gone that route. I still love my Bengals, but I’m picky about when and which games I attend. Like I’ve heard so many times… When I die, I want Bengals players to be my pallbearers so they can let me down one last time.
  23. Dude for how bad the Reds sucked this year, you saw this coming. That being said, it didn't help that nearly everyone that played a part in the 2023 success spent a lot of time on the DL. That and someone will have to figure out how to rid themselves of their version of the Frank Pollack philosophy in their pitching coaches.
  24. I think you may have read that wrong AMPHAR, but I'll let Hoosier continue his thoughts. Please continue gentlemen. I do enjoy reading your thoughts. The varying opinions and thoughts are what I like when it comes to topics like these.
  25. Yep, should have been pass interference for sure. Not quite the same scenario, but should have been for the same reason the Bengals call WAS made, that Collinsworth pointed out. "Contact before the ball got there". Mind hasn't changed about Bengals game and the Falcons got screwed.
