I don't why I thought Bob Segar when I read Billy Joel. That's a big no for me. Dokken? In 2025? Dude, as long as you know what you are getting into. Don Dokken hardly sings. Low tone and almost talking instead of singing these days. If I could at least hear George Lynch play the tunes, I could see it, but they have a bunch of hacks. Look them up on YouTube. Sadly horrendous. Saw Dokken, Whitesnake and Aerosmith at the Cincinnati Gardens in like 1987 or 1988. I don't think Whitesnake was suppose to be there. Stole a 1.75 liter bottle of JD from my grandpa and got wasted in the parking lot beforehand. One of the best times I had with my brother was at this concert. 17 and all kinds of girls. Back when concerts were like $15.00. So much fun to see shows back then. Lived for them.

The question is, how can the Bengals tap into this as a reason to bump the cost of a Coke to $15.00 in 2025?

Offensive Player of the Year- Chase Triple Crown... next Defensive Player of the Year- T-Rex led the league in sacks with 17.5... next Comeback Player of the Year- Burrow coming back off a season ending wrist injury and in the running for MVP... next Fucked up Shit of 2024- Regardless of the above, the Bengals missed the playoffs.

What is it with Sportskeeda and people simply commenting on what someone else commented about regarding some situation? Again not giving anything new to consider that hasn't already been said. The Bengals don't take big swings or take risk. The Bengals owner limits the team. The Bengals have free agent decisions to make with Chase and Higgins. The Bengals have team needs to address in the draft. If the Bengals had just beaten the Patriots, they would have been in the playoffs. The Bengals only have themselves to blame. Well no shit huh ?? Newsflash... The Bengals next to never take big swings and big risks. Mike Brown, yada yada, he sucks. We are WELL aware. That's not a new concern. The Bengals can afford both Chase and Higgins, as there is no one else coming up to pay big money to. All teams have team needs to address in the draft. If the Colts didn't lose to the Jags and Giants (both suck) they would be in the playoffs. Miami the same with losing to the Titans and Jets. This is not something exclusive to the Bengals.

I agree with all of that and wish they would have done the same regarding the search. I did see something interesting however. Would the fans feel better about the hire if Al wasn't still Zac's neighbor and he was just an outside guy? I think that's a yes. If you remove the familiarity, fans would be ecstatic about Golden coming in. Since that's the case however, you get a loud resounding "MEH". I also don't think it matters who was hired in regards to the outcomes for the 2025 season. Regardless of who the DC or any other coach is, no one may survive another season like 2024. Zac probably figures he would rather go down the crapper with someone he trusts. The hiring of coaches is only as good as the outcome of the season. Meaning if Bill Belichick came here and failed, he would suck while simultaneously still being awesome.

Hey, if we could get Emammwori in the 3rd round, drinks are on me. You know, at our annual Bengalszone get together. It's how I get down. You're welcome.

Pam Landy ?? Great hire. Her CIA background might seem a little odd, but she’s clearly intelligent and has mad influential skills to motivate the players. This defense is about to level the fuck up !! There was some controversy with the whole Treadstone clusterfuck and her thing with Jason Bourne, but I think the change of scenery may be exactly what she needs.

And after last night's game, I'm good. Thank you Buckeyes !!

I think that’s exactly why many coaches should be interested in being the DC here. Expectations are low, but with a QB like Burrow and the power of the offense, getting the defense to middle of the road will be considered a massive success. That would probably be enough to see the team right back in contention after missing out the last two years.

Bills at Chiefs ?? Figured that would be the case. That sucks. Commanders at Eagles ?? Happy for the Commanders and that fanbase that had suffered under Snyder. Don’t care who wins. If I have to pick, gimme the Commanders.
-
Happy for Commanders fans who have had to deal with Snyder’s incompetence for so long. Jayden Daniels is fun to watch. Will keep rooting for them. I guess the Bills are the lesser of the AFC evils and that makes me sick to my stomach. The thought of all those fucktard Bills fans being happy makes me sad.

Pet Semetary style? Got it. Great movie. ”The soil of a man’s heart is stonier” Alway liked that quote for some reason.

Won’t root against someone else’s rooting interests. For what it’s worth, I don’t want to see any of the teams from the AFC win except for the Texans. If they lose, which I expect, it won’t matter any way. Hate the Chiefs, Ravens and Bills. Just one big bag of playoff suck. That being said, the Ravens Bills game should be really fun to watch just from a football fan perspective.

Good, I hate everything about this discussion. Leave already. It won't happen, but I still don't care.

Agree with the thought I wish they would have expanded and at least had the conversation, while simultaneously agreeing that Al Golden would be a good selection. In total honesty, I went from hating the idea of Eberflus to being very curious in seeing what the outcome of the interview would bring once you take a look at his time as a coordinator. Thing is, they never had the conversation. I was disappointed with the lack of conversation. Maybe Al Golden has simply always been who they wanted. Who knows? I've also worked for plenty of people through my life and once I got into leadership positions, I took what I liked from them all and tried to continue that example. The things I didn't care for, I leave out. I'm sure Golden is no different. There are things he learned from Anarumo he liked and things he didn't. My thing is, he's had success and has been a large reason why Notre Dame is playing in the CFP National Championship Game, leading one of the top college defenses in the country. I can think of many others I would HATE seeing coming here to take over the defense.

I really don't much about Graham. He's kind of an unknown to me and probably what's keeping me from being all geeked up about him. I took a look at his coaching background and it's interesting. From 2009-2015 Either New England's coaching/defensive assistant, linebacker's coach x2, or D-line coach, but never a DC while there. In that time span, the Patriots always won the AFC East. Apparently they had a pretty good QB. 2016-2017 The Giants D-line coach. The Giants were a combined 14-18 and went to the playoffs once. 2018- he was the Packers linebacker's coach and run game coordinator. Green Bay finished 6-9. 2019- This was his first DC job with the Dolphins. Miami finished 5-11 that season. 2020-2021 Back with he Giants as the asst. head coach and DC. They went a combined 10-23 in that time. 2022-Present The DC for the Raiders. Never a winning season going a combined 18-33. Ok, he's more of known to me now. THAT'S GOING TO BE A NO.
