  1. Hard to say at this point in my opinion. I have no issues if Woods was the pick. However, the reason he's the Bengals most popular pick is because PFF has him as the #4 overall player falling to the 10 slot. Most fans are going to see that and pick him or any other player for that reason alone. That's the first time I've seen Woods rated above DE Keldric Faulk and by 7 spots no less? Crazy. As much as taking another DE bugs the shit out of me, it makes sense when considering the roster. I think the DT class is deeper than the DE class this year. Could be wrong as this goes on.
  2. This just in, Trey has a broken vagina. Out for the season.
  3. Yeah, rooting for the Ravens (yuck) to win. Same division record, but Steelers are 5-2 against the conference and both us and the Ravens are 4-4. Seeing as how we split with the Steelers, we need that next game against the Ravens, but they need to focus on the Bills for now.
  4. C'mon Hall of Fame, this is the year. RIGHT???
  5. Here you go COB... The song and video you didn't know you needed this afternoon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tfeuCewK58
  6. Chase, Burrow and Higgins are the answers to the wrong questions. What about the defense? What about Trey? What about not looking like the keystone cops of the NFL? What about not being a steaming pile of dog shit when your offense puts up more than 35 points in a loss? People shouldn't be asking why Flacco lost more than he won considering the plethora of offensive talent. They should be asking why this defense has resembled a giant shit sandwich in the majority of the games this year. Playoffs?? You kidding me?? Playoffs??
  7. Oh hell yeah, I was wondering what was going on. Thought maybe I broke an unwritten rule or some shit and was given a time out. Name of this Bills game is DEFENSE. What do they do? The offense is not nearly concerning with a healthy and less rusty Joe Burrow. However, which defense do we get? The one getting turn overs like we did against the Ravens or the other one we've seen 99% of the time this year? If it's the former, we are in business. If it's the latter, we are in trouble. I am happy it's a 1pm game for us. No prime time motivations to be gained. Just go play ball boys. This is the definition of a "must win" game, but that could be said the rest of the way.
  8. Never heard that. Was never a thought I recall being discussed here either but that could be my memory working against me.
  9. They are 2 games back with 5 to play. They don’t necessarily need to win out but the only game that would have less of an impact would be the Cardinals. Non divisional and non conference.
  10. I think Zimmer retired after not being brought back by Dallas after last season.
  11. This current 3 game stretch they are in (Ravens, Bills, Ravens) is key to anything which happens in the following three (Dolphins, Cardinals, Browns). It gets a lot more interesting to me if they win this Sunday. I don't know if "hopeful" is the word I would use, but interesting for sure. The Ravens and Steelers play this weekend and still have another game against each other to end the season. Neither team has a cake walk towards the division title either. Steelers final three are (@Lions, @Browns, Ravens) Ravens final three are (Patriots, @Packers, @Steelers) That's interesting to me for the time being. A loss this weekend would hurt that interest depending on other outcomes.
  12. "Playoff Possibilities" ?? STRIPES, BACK AWAY FROM THE PLAYOFF MACHINE. JUST FOCUS MY FRIEND. IT WILL BE OK.
  13. Let me say this as food for thought. "IF" the Bengals win out and end up winning the division title, I don't think it's necessarily a one and done situation. Bear with me here. Clearly, the defense would have had to make great strides to enable the team to come back from 3-8 and win the division. What would that take? Maybe a middle of the road defense at that point in the season despite how they started? Isn't that exactly what we said should be enough to get this team to make another deep playoff run? Just saying is all...
  14. Well, the Steelers and Ravens play each other this Sunday so someone is losing in that one, minus a tie. The Bills are always a strong team and Allen is a great QB. I expect a loss on the road up in Buffalo however. If the defense finds a way to keep trending upward, it will be a fun game to watch. Not predicting a score in this one, but prove me wrong Bengals. Nothing would please me more than to be wrong and see you run the table. For some reason I always seemed to like the Bills and would root for them more often than not. Great teams, great players, small market. They feel familiar being a Bengals fan. Have to love Bills Mafia. However, ever since attending a game there in person I no longer feel that way. Literally the largest collection of asshole fans I've ever been around in my NFL travels. That's saying something considering our own fans, Cleveland, Philly and Oakland back in the day. AllenTown21... hope you aren't of that mindset.
  15. Yes yes and more yes. Zac Taylor is an assclown at best.
  16. Dude has literally played 3 games out of 12.
  17. Well… that was fun. Nice game for the defense.
  18. I think people are giving more credit to Burrow than deserved. Not knocking him in the least but last night belonged to the defense for putting together a very nice game plan and executing it well. Hope to see more !!
  19. I don’t disagree with that assessment Hoosier. The Bengals failed to realize what they had in Bates. It also went against their very own philosophy of building through the draft and paying those that have earned their second contract. My thought on Downs is he’s probably one of the safest picks in the draft and happens to fill a massive need for this defense. Some may recall I was all in on Emmanwori out of South Carolina last year and would have been stoked about that pick. Clearly there are also two DE’s that should garner consideration should the Bengals find themselves in that range with Bain and Faulk. Clearly no one would deny our need there but so help me God another 1st round DE bust might drive me to my grave. One of my favorite players in that range is Arvell Reese the LB out of Ohio State. However that’s never going to happen despite the youth and mistake prone rookies. People worried about Burrow may bang on the table for QB Dante Moore, who could stand to spend a year or two learning and come in should another injury befall out QB1. After that, should those guys be gone or not a consideration, I like CB Mansoor Delane out of LSU and DT Peter Woods out of Clemson. Both would fill a need while more than likely presenting as BPA. In the unlikely event all of them are gone, that means some one dropped who I would probably be happy with or a trade down would make sense. Honestly it sucks to be this deep into the 2026 draft in November, but like I said wins now won’t matter and losing will make me happy in the long term. Long story short, give me Downs.
  20. I think Whit simply doesn't want to see Joe get hurt again. I get that, but it's football. Players get hurt. His premise is that players may (and do) make bad decisions in coming back too soon. He's not wrong in that, but it is what it is.
  21. Don't get me wrong, I'm intrigued and will be watching what Burrow does coming back from the injury. As I watch, I will be rooting for them and happy if they win. I just don't think it matters and come April, I'll be irritated. "Hope and Pray" in full effect. Unfortunately, that's the foundation of this franchise.
  22. Burrow or no Burrow, the Bengals are NOT winning the AFCN. Are people simply forgetting having watched the defense to this point? Is anyone here SERIOUSLY thinking this is happening? I'm not talking about, "It could". Like no shit. I'm talking about, "I'm really confident in this happening". Not a prayer.
  23. "When you wish upon a star..." "Makes no difference who you are..." "Anything your heart desires..." "Will come to you..."
  24. THIS, THIS, 100% FREAKIN' THIS !!! Knowing the draft is a crap shoot, then go shoot your shot. If you miss going after the guy you think is a difference maker, I could live with that. Sitting tight while your guy goes off the board and taking "the next best thing" and then missing is just shit.
  25. Turkey coma 4pm with a missed Bengals game.
