That being said, last night was a prime example of why I still go some of the game. Primetime game, the stadium was rocking, and the Ring of Honor celebration for a couple greats. Then you get to the game and as irritating as the results were, you had big plays and got to see an upcoming star in Daniels. Those two TD's to Chase saw the stadium explode and my son and I were going crazy with the rest of the fans. I mean those times can just be electric and make memories for my son and I that attend the games together. Just like being at the Raiders playoff game, seeing the curse broke and just being with the fans in that moment in time. I was almost in tears when we won that game, fans stuck around to bask in the playoff win and my son still talks about that. Then there are the memories I have with my father. I saw every team in the NFL play when I was young. Some of the all time greats. I was at both the freezer bowl and Super Bowl XVI with my dad when I was 10. My father and I had a tough adult relationship, but we always had the Bengals to keep things on the level. As much as the Bengals infuriate me, they hold a place that brings a lot of joy my way. I think that's why people won't ever stop supporting the team. Such is life...

For so many years before I retired from the Army, all I wanted to do was get season tickets like my dad had when I was growing up. I never did. I have been to many games but not nearly the amount it could have cost me had I gone that route. I still love my Bengals, but I’m picky about when and which games I attend. Like I’ve heard so many times… When I die, I want Bengals players to be my pallbearers so they can let me down one last time.

Dude for how bad the Reds sucked this year, you saw this coming. That being said, it didn't help that nearly everyone that played a part in the 2023 success spent a lot of time on the DL. That and someone will have to figure out how to rid themselves of their version of the Frank Pollack philosophy in their pitching coaches.

I think you may have read that wrong AMPHAR, but I'll let Hoosier continue his thoughts. Please continue gentlemen. I do enjoy reading your thoughts. The varying opinions and thoughts are what I like when it comes to topics like these.

Yep, should have been pass interference for sure. Not quite the same scenario, but should have been for the same reason the Bengals call WAS made, that Collinsworth pointed out. "Contact before the ball got there". Mind hasn't changed about Bengals game and the Falcons got screwed.

Am I the only one that loves seeing Andy Dalton go nuclear playing against Marvin Lewis and beating the Raiders ?? To this point this season there’s only been one QB that has both thrown for 300 yards and 3 TD’s in a single game. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you… ANDY FUCKING DALTON !!!

Well according to CBT, it's a "college offense"... Please just STFU Cam.

I still think the Bengals win this game, but I would hate to think this may be an easy win since they played well against the Chiefs. Jayden Daniels is a rookie QB and passing has been a mixed bag. He's completing 75% of his passes, but has yet to throw a TD pass to this point. However, he's rushing well with a 132 yards of his own with 2 rushing TD's, so something for the Bengals to spy for sure. Their running game has been solid. Brian Robinson has 173 rushing yards compared to our team total of 144 rushing yards. Their receivers aren't doing much, but that's because Daniels isn't doing much in the passing game. The defense isn't getting much pressure through two games, producing only 2 sacks total and have no INT's to this point. Sounds like Burrow and the offense should be able to put up some yards and points on Monday Night. Also, it sounds like they need to focus on stopping the run, containing Daniels, and force him to throw the ball more.

No, I mean the conversation. People today can no longer agree to disagree. You view it through one lens and I from another. I'm cool ending conversations when I reach that point. I'm not one to blame refs for the loss of a game. There were simply too many other mistakes that took place. Burrow's fumble for a scoop and score. Money Mac being anything other than money on the point after. A whopping 74 yards rushing. 4 of 13 on 3rd down conversion. Does any of that negate what may or may not been a bad call to end the game? No, but blaming the refs seems to let the team off the hook in areas they should not have been so deficient in. The Bengals should have won that game Sunday and if they clean those things up, I don't think they lose many more moving forward.

You win...

So can’t agree to disagree?

Whataburger is the shit !! I was spoiled being stationed in Texas for as long as I was. Good stuff !!

"A better deal for taxpayers" ?? Better be careful using language like that when the only viable option apparently is raising taxes.
-
Nothing would please me more than having that dominant defense that stuffs the runs and gets to the QB with consistency. Maybe they have average to slightly above average players in the secondary, but it won't matter because of the front 7. Hell yeah !!! It's why I still wear my Geno Atkins 97 jersey with great pride. I loved watching that dude wreck an o-linemen's day !!

I get that, but the defender got their before the ball did. That will get called damn near every time. Again, no issue by me. Agree to disagree, although I'm well aware society today doesn't really understand what that means...

That levy last year equated to an additional $20.13 per each $100,000 of home valuation per month. So the quick math tells you a $500,000 home, is a little over $100 per month, $1200 per year in taxes. If there's a hint of descent regarding the levy, the scare tactics come out and they simply threaten to cut jobs, cut programs, and of course your children are going to be stupid because the education is going to suffer. Apparently, there are no other options than to raise taxes to solve the problems that exist. Go Bengals....

For some odd reason despite of the improved play and thinking they could go on a hot streak, I don't feel much energy about the Bengals at the moment. My son and I will be at the Monday night game and I'm sure we will have a good time as always. However, I don't feel the excitement surrounding the team at this point. This is going to sound weird, but it feels like going through motions. Almost boring... I'm really hoping I snap out of it. Maybe a win will help that along.

The Bengals win this game. Is there any D-line help anywhere to be found? Jesus these guys are terrible.

Not that it matters, but I had no issue with that call. While Anthony was going up to make a play on the ball and the two collided, he got there long before the ball got to them. Had Anthony not hit the dude in the helmet when bringing up his hands, it might not have looked as bad as it did. Just from my perspective, but if any defender gets to one of our WR's before the ball does and interrupts their ability to make a play on the ball, I'm screaming for a flag. Right or wrong, being 0-2 sucks, but I thought this was a loss before the season started. This was a HUGE improvement from week 1 and should help remind everyone the Bengals are capable of beating the best. I think it has been mentioned, but if they continue to play like that, the start of a 5 game win streak could be coming. Maybe more.

I have a dumpster for the week and am throwing out anything I haven’t used for over a year and doesn’t hold sentimental value. My wife had no idea why she woke up in the dumpster this morning.

Well put Ja’Marr in the camp of thinking it’s a good time to get Burton on the field to make plays against the Chiefs.
-
More interesting…. Jackson Carman is still not on ANY team. Straight ass !!
-
So you found a good dealer then?
-
Agreed that it’s sucks for him. Never really lived up to the height of his draft selection, but wished him well nonetheless.

Well Jonah Williams moved on to Arizona and, well… he’s hurt and out for the next 4 weeks with a knee injury.
