  1. Burrow looked confused. I have no idea why. Maybe more than one series over 3 preseason games isn't actually enough to get ready for week 1 ??
  2. Yeah, the gambling aspect of the game these days is really fucking annoying to me as a non-betting fan.
  3. Maybe the Browns hired someone to make another complaint against him because there's a loophole in his contract to avoid paying him all that coin they owe him? Probably not, but that thought jumped in my head. Pay some crack head whore $1 million to spin the story and they save almost $100 million (or some ungodly amount) by getting out of the contract. That crack head whore would have a statue built in her honor in the city of Cleveland.
  4. Odd, I wasn't even upset by the call. I thought you had to maintain possession of the ball through the catch. It appeared "TO ME" that he didn't have control of the ball through the catch and didn't regain it until already out of bounds. I could be wrong and maybe the way I view it is incorrect translation of the rule.
  5. Seeing where Higgins and Chase may not play Sunday. Can we just move on from this? Hate to say this but I really hope they are hurt or sick or whatever. If this is just some bullshit. They can shit can both of them. Reinvest that money into a new o-line coach and new o-linemen.
  6. Thinking about it further, that's a total of 13 players (since they had two 3rds this year). What should amount to damn near 60% of your starting roster. Again, can't happen. No team can survive that number being nullified.
  7. We all wondered about what we saw after Burrow went down last year and if that would continue come 2024... Fucking nope.
  8. That WR corp is also really fun to watch. Nico, Diggs, and Tank are a really nice 1-3. Love CJ, love Mixon. A defense that really gets after it as well. Dalton Schultz is also a really underrated TE that I would have liked to see here in Cincinnati. Oh well, where was I? Oh yeah, the Bengals. Jesus, slap me.
  9. I was cheering hard for him every time he touched the ball. "LET'S GO MIX, GO GO GO" !!! Wishing him nothing but the best and happy to be rooting for the Texans as well. At least they didn't let my ass down yesterday. They have gotten to be a close #2 team for me thanks to ArmyBengal Jr.
  10. I made the comment in the Patriots thread that I felt that Burrow is one of those QB's that makes the guys around him better. He still probably is that guy, but it sure as shit wasn't that way yesterday. He didn't look like he had his head in the game all day. He looked lost at times and maybe the frustration just got the best of him. When guys drop TD's and fumble at the goal line, that's a tough pill. However, like AMPHAR noted, so is being so poor at converting 3rd down's and 4th and short. Just baffling to see those plays. Anarumo's "Bend but don't break" needs revisiting. They broke. This team is lacking at the DE spot in being able to get Hubbard and T-Rex a breather. Ossai was the only one giving a breather, with Henry getting 2 snaps. They are really missing any production and help they need to be getting from Myles Murphy. Then there's DJ Turner getting 3 snaps, while Jordan Battle took zero. I'm not getting their RB approach either. While saying Brown was the better receiver of the two and going to get more opportunities, it didn't play out that way. Brown only got in on 17 offensive plays and had 3 carries for the game. He was targeted 3 times and grabbed all three for 12 yards total. Moss was targeted 4 times, while catching 2 but did slightly more with 17 yards. Granted, when you go 4-11 on 3rd down conversions, that limits things. What about Gesicki? Hated that the ball came out on that catch, but that was a hard landing for sure. Have to hold onto that one. That being said, on a day, where you are missing your #2 WR and have a #1 WR that has not practiced, don't you think you'd have your best pass catching TE in the game more? Nope, Gesicki only was in on 18 offensive plays and targeted only on 4 of those. So they started the season with a total of 4 combined reps taken by all four of their, 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks. Burton owned all 4. They got a combined 3 reps taken from their 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks from last year. DJ Turner owned all 3. Thankfully, Dax and CBT, along with Carter took a large amount from the 2022 1-3 round picks. From 2021, we got reps, but little from Chase, Carman is no longer with the team and Ossai with 13 reps. So they are getting next to no production from the majority of their 1-3 round picks over the last 4 drafts. That just can't happen. Oh yeah, if they play like that again, the Chiefs will blow them out. Calling it at 17 point loss as of today.
  11. Maybe it's just the irritation, but I find myself second guessing decisions this team has made. It's not a true apples to apples comparison, but don't think it's far off either. In another town, not far up the road, the Detroit Lions have built one of the best offensive lines and are severely limited at WR. They have a QB cast off from his old team and bits and pieces from the draft and free agency across that roster. However, they are not only succeeding, but have better odds at winning the Super Bowl than the Bengals. In the meantime, we have a high end, high paid QB, two WR's who both want to be paid at the top of the market and consistently field one of the worst o-lines in all of football. Couple that with a 1-10 record through the first two weeks of Coach Taylor's head coaching run. I'm not suggesting burning it down, but I am thinking they may have gone in the wrong direction. Maybe stop drafting WR's in the first two rounds and take more shots with the building of the o-line? Of course that starts with firing Pollack and going after a noted (see successful) o-line coach to assist that build. Again, I'm not suggesting this is a spot on comparison, just what I'm thinking when I watch our Bengals play. Then again, maybe I'm completely full of shit and wrong. God knows that's truly a possibility. Still angry today...
  12. Thinking about Burrow and his comments about being healthy all through camp was “Uncharted Territory”. Well, they are 0-1. They've charted the shit out of that territory. Guess being healthy didn’t matter after all. This coaching staff is failing.
  13. Yeah it was great watching the Texans win the game today and Mixon having a good game. I was really happy for him. He looked stronger than in seasons past. Took big hits and kept getting up and getting after it. You know, what the Bengals didn’t do today.
  14. You can’t turn the ball over that much no matter who you play. Certainly can’t do that in the redzone and then let them go down the field and put point on the board. You can’t open the game by consistently going 3 and out, thinking you are just going to get back in it. You can’t stress (yet again) starting fast and look that fucking lost when on the field. Pollack should have been done last year. Said it many times last year that you can’t spend that much on free agency and in draft picks and get next to nothing in return. It’s going to wreck this season again. Anarumo won’t be sniffing head coaching gigs in the future if this continues either. How do you give up 170 rushing? Oh yeah, this is tackle football. Could you please fucking tackle ?? Jesus this team is a fucking killjoy. Joe lead the fucking team.
  15. This fuckin’ team
  16. Didn’t figure he’d miss game checks and the backlash coming from that decision.
  17. Made it to Indy but watching our boys with Sunday Ticket on the phone. IT’S GAMEDEY !! WHODEY BITCHES !!
  18. Yeah I will be watching on the phone while sitting in Indy watching the Texans and Colts game. Cant wait !! Going to be awesome !!
  19. I don’t believe anything coming out of anyone’s mouth. Chase wants money. The Bengals want to save money. The media wants you to click their story to get money. Each group is going to say whatever is in their best interest to say. Sit back, have a drink and enjoy your Saturday. Tomorrow is going to come regardless of all the noise !!
  20. No confusion whatsoever. Merely pointing out that was what Dalton needed to be successful. I believe Burrow makes everyone around him better. Hence why I could care less who is or isn't playing. It's why I'm not the slightest bit stressed about week 1. If he goes into this game with Iosivas, Burton, Jones and Irwin as their 1-4, they should still beat the Patriots. Why? Because I believe Burrow is good enough to make that happen. Week 2? Not so sure about that. I won't be worried about week 2 at this point either though, so still don't care.
  21. Don’t really care about any of it. Higgins, no Higgins. Chase, no Chase. Injuries or not. If this team is suppose to be a high end Super Bowl contender, they should be able to beat a hapless Pats team as long as they have a healthy Burrow. Does he make the players around him better or is he Dalton who has to have everything line up? I’m guessing the former. Bengals - 27 Patriots - 17
  22. Yeah, this is pretty fun for me today working with a Ravens fan. Roquan Smith chiming in with, "I didn't think it was enough evidence to overturn it" is great as well. Maybe if Likely had not been wearing black cleats it might not have been enough, but the top of his black cleat touching the bright white line doesn't allow for much doubt to enter the thought process. Who knew the Chiefs winning could bring me such joy ?!?!
  23. The only thing better is hearing them complain like babies. Staley with the penalties “they were making an example of me” or Lamar with the “I still think it was a TD” when it clearly wasn’t.
  24. Couldn't agree more. Best outcome. Two more days !!
