If it gets me to the game this weekend, I’m pretty sure I will survive. After a total of 15 months away when I deployed, a week or two is a drop in the bucket…

I would love to hear how the experts measure the “It” factor in their stats ?? Or maybe leadership abilities ?? You know, all the things that Burrow has and many QB’s lack, but can’t be discussed because stats don’t support them. If what Burrow has was easy to reproduce, Blaine Gabbert would have 4 Super Bowl championships by now. Sometimes I really hate the talking heads…

Mac Jones was compared to Joe Burrow ?? No disrespect but, BWAAAAAHAAAAHAAAAAA !!!

I'm trying to convince the wife that since my son has yet to see Tom Brady play, that means that him and I should make the trip to Tampa Bay to catch the game. I mean, who am I to deprive such an event from a young man? It only seems like the right thing to do. Am I wrong ??
-
Yeah, watching on TV had me initially yelling, "WHAT THE HELL" ?!?! Then Chase actually caught the damn thing and was like, "HOLY SHIT, HE CAUGHT THAT" ?? I liked Joe's response to that play when he said something close to... Even when Chase isn't expecting the ball, he's still the best WR in the league.

Brownies, diabetes? Diabetes, brownies? I'm a gamlblin' man, so I'm going to go with brownies. Added to the list. Thanks !!

Well shit. That leaves Gunter and Sample as the next two on deck. I'm much less enthusiastic with them as opposed to Ossai, but it's going to be what it's going to be. On a side note to the usual suspects, I can't help but wonder if the team has gotten practice reps at DE for Zach Carter? He was always thought to be position diverse, being able to play both the DT and DE spots. The Bengals have a history of playing d-line players at different spots as well. Maybe this has been discussed and my old ass simply doesn't remember. Anyway, there's always more than one way to skin a cat.

Yeah, to not be concerned about the loss of T-Rex would be minimalizing for sure, but think it's less concerning for the next two weeks vs the last two weeks. Really hoping to see guys like Ossai and the rest of them fill in the gaps. However, Josh Allen and possibly Lamar Jackson present some real issues in that regard.

Even with Boyd and T-Rex out, I think they get the "W" this coming Sunday. I think they have the depth to handle it against the Bucs. Maybe the Pats as well. Things start to get dicey with the Bills and Ravens to end out the season. Heal up soon boys, you are going to be needed !!! Who's going to the last games of the season ?? I know my son and I will be at the Bills Monday night game and we are tentative on the Ravens game at this point. Hoping to be there for that one as well.

Ok, I'm a brownie fan for sure. The food, not the stupid team that gets called that. I've never heard of the Killer Brownie Company. Anyone had them before? I need to know if I should try one the next time we are at the stadium. I'm sure the price will be jacked, but I do love brownies... Oh, and good for the Bengals. Get Joe's and Chase's money together sooner rather than later !!!

So who do you have in the college football playoffs ?? Ohio State vs. Georgia TCU vs. Michigan Being a Buckeyes follower, I will of course be rooting for my boys. As much as I think it would be cool to see THE GAME rematch for the National Championship, I don't know that the team would. That's two years in a row that they didn't just get beat by Michigan, but that they appear to be living in their heads. The mental aspect of that would present a challenge for them to get over in my opinion. Oddly enough, should TCU upset Michigan, that would give Ohio State some added motivation in their later game as they would probably rather face TCU. Getting by Georgia will be no small task for them and they would do well in not looking beyond them beforehand.

For those that follow college football, those listed players have been fun to watch this year. On a side note, I met Paris Johnson and his mother (since they are from Cincinnati) and they were looking into starting up a foundation for Veterans. While that hit home for me, what also hit me was how genuinely nice they were. Paris made me feel like an ant, towering almost a full foot taller than I. I will be rooting for that young man wherever he goes. Like him though, I wouldn't expect any of those players to reach the Bengals pick. I would take damn near every one of them. Of the ones that "might" fall due to teams needs, I really like Michael Mayer the TE from Notre Dame and the same for Kelee Ringo from Georgia. I'm not holding my breath though.

Jesus guys… we are 9-4. They have managed with the next guy up more than one week this season and maybe T-Rex going down allows a guy like Ossai to get his shot with more reps. There’s just as much reason to be optimistic as there is to be pessimistic. Will it be a challenge? For sure, but you can’t simply pack up for the season and call it quits because one player goes down.

Dude… Happy to win that game and have no concerns. Not worried about the plays, play calling, or anything other than the injuries. It’s a division game against a team that has had our number. They put a lot of pressure on themselves to win this game, coming off an emotional win over the Chiefs. You don’t question it, just move on after putting one more in the win column. Focus on the Buccaneers and stay in the mix for the division.

Here we go. C’mon Joe. Lets see what they figured out at halftime.
-
The defense is playing hit up to there this offense needs to get their footing. Nice throw and catch there. Let’s go boys !!!
-
Not going to complain about these penalties at this point. C’mon guys. Where’s the fire ??
-
Is this week 2 or something ?? I mean, what the hell are we watching here ?? Let’s go Bengals, get your head in it !!
-
Let’s go Bengals !! Get loud and have fun Mem !!
-
Dude please make that happen. I want to hear the boos coming down the Ohio. Just relentless all game long. Harass the hell out of him !!
-
Enjoy it Mem !!!
-
Ok how is it I haven’t seen some of these mic’d up sessions ?? If I haven’t seen, maybe you guys haven’t either. I didn’t want to start a new thread so I threw it in here with Pratt’s. Ted Karras might be the Joe Burrow of the offensive line. His demeanor and energy are just ridiculous !!

Mayfield - Browns made the right choice?
ArmyBengal replied to ShulaSteakhouse's topic in National Football League
Dude… it just goes to show the difference in talent level from the Panthers to the Rams. I think Mayfield was reading the playbook as he was walking into the stadium tonight. He was throwing passes to guys he had never met. Then he goes out and beats the Raiders on a prime time game with less than 48 hours time in the building. Crazy !! -
Pass. Civil case still pending and this team doesn't need that drama.
