Bears game - years back … Bengals are up something like 42 -3 , and the Bears fan in front of my group starts intentionally holding a huge flag up to block our views - he had been at this from the start but by the 4th he started really fucking with us …. This guy was like a thin, pencil-pushing paralegal look, not the typical guy to be messing around - but he was at it and nonstop . Finally, I grabbed the damn flag and threw it down and told him enough of the taunting and shit. Then , he shouts terroristic threatening over and over , security shows up , and the cops escort me out of the seats to the halls and say I can’t go back in but he’ll watch the final 15 minutes with me from the corridor then let me go. Cool cop - but a dick dude from Chicago

I don’t think Zac and Brian are run the ball types of offensive coaches worrisome because if you can’t make a balanced offense or at least threaten with some runs that aren’t just tricks out of the spread … I don’t know how you keep the defense honest the short quick throw or screen and check down game isn’t making up for it

Besides 2009 , when was the last time a Bengals offense could lean on the running game to get through games like Sunday ? Maybe some in the Ced Benson days but otherwise I am drawing a blank. Does Mixon’s rookie year count ?

I still think they keep Tee Higgins for a few years but where you trim to keep Tee is the issue . You probably don’t see Trey Hendrickson on the team in 2025… I think that’s his current last contracted year. Maybe Reader gets a restructured long-term deal that is team friendly… obviously they save money right now on tightends and safeties. And their defensive line backups are all cheap as are their backup running backs. Personally, I think it’s a tough decision… is having Higgins worth losing the players in the groups mentioned? The answer in hindsight of a couple Super Bowl wins , is YES of course …. But ….

Ohhh shit , Carmen sounds salty at himself for losing out last year . I like it . Maybe this is the team telling Jonah, fine, don’t want to compete at RT? Then you are the backup LT. I think they are willing to eat the money for the year to have a better backup LT rather then get some money back by cutting him.

I liked Tobin’s FO back when Marvin was here but he and the the rest of the org have taken It to another level these last few years with the draft and free agency. Getting the pass protection right is the only reason we aren’t talking two time Super Bowl champs this year.

Yeah it was a joke ;) I am more than happy with what they’ve done. Wouldn’t be surprised if we end up with another TE in the room before the season starts
