  1. Not sure … the 49ers defense looks like Super Bowl-esque to me . And so does our Bengals D :)
  2. Man those must be epic burnt ends
  3. Yep that’s accurate . The defense to watch out for is the 49ers in the Super Bowl.
  4. Takeo Spikes, Brian Simmons, and Steve Foley were the best since the 88 defense before this newest iteration’s run for the superbowl in 2022
  5. Max Scharping needs to channel his inner Bobbie Williams
  6. When do Cincy sports teams not get hosed by the nation and all the moneys that be?
  7. So many QBs like Baker who came out highly drafted and touted then weren’t as good as many predicted. Still a chance for Baker or the Sam Darnolds, Jeff Goffs, out there… but what about the Ryan Tannehills ? Is Zach Wilson worse than Baker ? Possibility Baker ends up a Jet in the future … I’m not sold on Tua either … so Miami will also have to consider the injury he suffers now and what if something grave happened to him ?
  8. Dalton has not looked like much recently . He still seems to throw picks that kill momentum. Kind of like what Palmer did late for the Bengals and then in his only Super Bowl appearance. Carson was at another level than Baker will ever see though. Unless he somehow maximizes all his strengths somehow before he ages too much.
  9. Baker did turn the Browns around and must give him credit for that which was NO small task.. and the team did well with building a running game and giving him some weapons to throw to. It’s stunning the organization managed to fuck all that up so quickly .
  10. Definitely seems a strange voodoo but pro football is way less violent than when it was invented … hate to see any players get seriously injured though tackling always will carry the risk.
  11. That’s not good at all. I will say he had immediate medical attention. I could see the gurney coming out and the AED almost simultaneously. Then a circle of med pros blocked the view thankfully. I hate to think the worst for him. We were all in shock watching and hoping it would be something he could walk away from. It was surreal. Like being in the old video games when the ambulance would come out for CEIs… you know the player was out of the game and out of your franchise mode … then you realize that this is really happening … in the worst way . Feel really bad for Tee too as in the football world , he was in the worst place at the worst time in such an innocent fashion. Not that football compares to what happened to his opponent at all, but i worry for Tee that the mental aspect of all this will hurt him. I’m sure he has great support around him . Proud of Joe burrow and the bengals for being such class acts . Prayers for Damar.
  12. Was at the stadium last night and sitting alongside some Bengals employees families… everyone was very concerned with what had happen to the Bills player. Replay boards were off and no announcement other than “temporarily suspended” so if not for people using their phones, we’d had no idea what was really going on for those who couldn’t see directly . but one idea that came up amongst bengals and bills fans is if the rumor we were hearing in the stands is true “ the bills defense refused to take the field again “ presumably because of the criticalness of the player injury, then it would mean the Bills forfeited the game. That makes a W for the Bengals. Now that could be the official call because the players stopped warming up and then both teams walked to the lockers , finally the Bills equipment was put away and a few minutes later the official announcement “ game postponed indefinitely “ … makes you think that the forfeit was recalled by the NFL due to the circumstances. That would mean a No Contest is a likely scenario. And Bills Bengals would suffer playoff seeding only…Thoughts ?
  13. I’m looking forward to this game and the run to end the season. This may set up to be one of the all-time great finishes. Let’s hope everyone stays healthy. The offensive line has really impressed on this winning streak.
  14. Of course, not paying guards or centers hamstrings your line coach… it’s like a double close line off the ropes.
  15. That goes back to MB’s man crush on Paul Alexander.
  16. Steinbach walking was the nail in the coffin and Richie’s injury the hammer. I miss those lines.
  17. Wow Hopkins and Cook shine on that list. How scary. I realize what a huge signing Ted Karras was historically.
  18. Agree and I forgot that he just displaced his knee. Makes you realize that the coaches must not think much of what’s behind him.
  19. Well that pretty much sums up economics and the human condition in one anecdote
  20. They can’t run. Every NFL defensive coordinator knows it. Zac plays too much Tecmo bowl.
  21. PS been to every home game but one this year … will be there on Sunday again … I’m in therapy for masochism …
  22. Couldn’t speak in this game or this team as of yet … But Jonah Williams …. Man … he was exposed for the terrible talent he is against top competition. Never found Mixon to be more than a slash runner but if you can’t find a hole or make one… going nowhere in this league. The real issue he has is pass protection. The whole offense is downgraded because he can’t be the Gio Bernard we all hoped he was. Now Mix has some moves in the open field and some speed and is good in the pass catching game as far as swings and etc go … still NOT enough. really those two players are dragging this whole offense down. I think the RPOs are awesome but they are proof that the team can’t line up and run. If you can’t get your back to pass protect in spread and shotgun then just go empty… and wait for the Myles Garrets of the world to break your QB. La’el Collins also got owned more than once. Believe he is playing with injuries he doesn’t even let on to. I’ve not seen the Bengals dictate with the run for so long… it may have even been in the Ced benson days… that’s how bad this team has been at balance , and a lot of that I put on Taylor … but also bring front office for not getting guys like a Zeitler in FA, trusting that their draft and other cheaper pick ups will work. The Browns won that game with their lines and it wasn’t even close. Shame on you Bengals.
  23. AJ’s career 920 passing yards 6 TD and 2 picks get him a 2 year deal with the Bills. Not sure the money yet per PFT.
