Chris Henry had a fumble. We should cut him. Chris Perry dropped a pass, we should cut him. Ohalete only had one interception, we should cut him. David Pollack held out and he only recovered a fumbled forced today. Chad Johnson celebrates too much, we should cut him. Tory James needed 2 tries and Kyle Boller falling down to get a sack today. Lets cut him too.

In fact, lets cut everyone and fire all the coaches because we ONLY WON BY 13 points!

Just stop the stupid turnovers. Housh holds on and Palmer doesn't make a dumb throw and this is a 30+ point blowout -- but if you give any NFL team, even one as anemic as the Ravens, the ball within p*ssing distance of the red zone multiple times, bad things will happen.

I don't think it's overreacting when you see glaring problems that could prove to be disasters when we're playing better teams. Does anybody think we'll be able to give up 21 unaswered points against the Steelers, Colts or Broncos and still be able to win the game?

When that game got to 34-0, it got to silly time. When things happen in silly time, you must not overreact.

In the past, when the Bengals were scoring meaningless points in silly time to make a game close, we would somehow try and make those points matter. They simply don't.

Stop overreacting.

K, just got back from the game. Couple 'O things.

- First thing, our offense literally made the Rats D look like those kids that played the pee wee mini game at halftime.

- The prevent is a horrible way of making a team "milk the clock". It simply is not a positive way of keeping the other team out of the end zone.

- I don't care if Kyle Boler threw 3 TD passes, he is GD horrible. If not for the above mentioned Defense, he would have had a QB rating in the mid 40's.

- Carson's interception was his worst passing decision all year.

- I sat at the absolute highest seat in the stadium, back to the wall, still a good view.

- Our offense is truely scary, if we can only hold on to the damn ball.

I was under the impression that it's typically the "Order of the Day" everyday! Besides, I'm not too certain it is over reacting, especially if you consider the undeniable Bengals defensive collapse starting with 8:42 left in the 3rd quarter. To hold a team to just nine points just a couple weeks earlier, then keep them scoreless in one half, only to let them suddenly take the games momentum away by scoring 21 points on 3 TD on consecutive drives to the 26th ranked offense in the NFL is the best example of the term "defensive collapse" I've ever seen! In fact the Bengals barely won the all important "Time Of Possession" by less than 30 seconds!

Now for me to take into consideration the defense's overall performance today, and project that image into what may (yes MAY) happen next week versus the Steelers in Pittsburgh, and I'd be less than honest to say it doesn't exactly look good to me. Complete honesty would be for me to say without a major step up in performance by the defense, or at least some consistentcy, the Bengals will likely not fare well next weekend.

I'm calm about it, and feel as though I'm not "over reacting" as much as voicing some valid concerns I share with other Bengal fans who only want to see the team succeed as much as anyone else does!

The defense has serious issues, it was just too sloppy in the 3rd quarter - teams who go to SB's don't play like that every week, or give up 21 unanswered points to the Ravens within 4 minutes. That's a total collapse.

I don't think last week vs the Colts was "stupid time," the Bengals D got trounced worse than anyone else Indy has played this year.

As of right now - the Bengals have a fairly awful defense, that has just enough athletic guys to make a big play here and there.

They will only go as far as their defense takes them. That worries me, but doesn't mean I or anyone else with a sense of reality isn't happy with the offense and the record and this entire season. It's been a blast and could a lot better if the Bengals improve.

I was as unhappy as anyone to see the Ravens go from 0 to 60 faster than a cherried-out Lamborghini -- but let's not forget that Balti got set up by the offense, who served up a pair of turnovers that had them starting drives in FG range. The D only gave up one real drive; the others were gifts from a Bengals offense that went back in and atoned with a game-sealing final TD push of its own. Can we do better? No doubt. But I can't get upset with this win, even though things got shaky at the end. They rose to occasion and got the job done with room to spare.

On to Pitt!

I had a dream brothers and sisters! (Okay, maybe not that good, but still pretty awesome!) It was kind of incredible waking vision! Much like a sexual fantasy actually, except far more intense and exciting, and the "Chubby" lasted hours longer!

I saw the Cincinnati Bengals with basically the same players they currently have EXCEPT...there was one little difference. The Bengals defense was every bit as powerful and dominating as the Bengals offense! ( What? Is that impossible or sumpthin'?) Not only does Cincy run the season out with a 16-0 record, but they win by over a 20 point margin in every game except 1. The Colts. That was a squeaker. Won it by 13.

The most yardage and TD's they gave up to a RB in a single game was 73 yards with 1 TD, and that was to some chump named Shaun Alexander! The most TD's allowed through the air and total points in a game was 2 TD passes and 27 points. Indy again.

The playoffs and Super Bowl were forgone conclusions before they even started. 'Vegas sportsbooks never even offered odds on any post season play the Bengals were involved in save for the AFC Championship and Super Bowl, and even then no sane gambler would consider taking those odds! This reign of the Bengals total dominance led by Marvin Lewis dwarfed those other lesser dynasty's such as the Steelers and Cowboy's teams of the '70's, the 49'ers of the '80's and '90's, and the Patriots of the new Millenium!

My memory of that game was that the Bengal offense dominated in the first half but made stupid mistakes that cost them major points. The defense did let down in the second half, but I have no idea if that would have happened if we'd been playing with the lead as we should have been. Anyway, I think the Bengals are playing better now and I hope they learned something from the first time they played the Steelers. I expect a closer game this time and the Bengals could win. It also usually helps when the opponent is coming off a Monday night game.

You're right. The defense isn't horrible 24/7, they just give up the ocassional big play and have stretches that make you forget the kind of talent Marvin has drafted the past couple of years.
