101Airborne 59 Report post Posted January 18 Since the media loves to bring up shit from when I was a preteen, I feel confident in saying we will win because last time we faced the Oilers in the playoffs we blew the pants off them. Surely 31 years later with different staff, teams and a whole different city and stadium things will go just like they did last time, right? Just because the last time we saw them was the same year I discovered porn existed is irrelevant!
ShulaSteakhouse 385 Report post Posted January 19 Not surprised by this: (sorry if already shared somewhere) Quote Go behind the scenes of Joe Burrow's preparation to understand his confidence with Bengals: Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo gave Burrow the ultimate compliment comparing him to Tom Brady ahead of the Week 17 matchup. “This may sound crazy, but I see a young Tom Brady,” Spagnuolo said. “This guy does everything. He does not look like a second-year quarterback that missed a lot of his first year, totally impressed with him. https://www.yahoo.com/news/behind-scenes-joe-burrows-preparation-213213549.html
Ox 2 Report post Posted January 19 A lot of media hype for our JoeyB in preparation for this weekend:
AMPHAR 603 Report post Posted January 19 Especially down the stretch Joe Burrow has been every bit as good as a top 3 QB. I got to give credit to ZT too. If you watch some of these all-22 QB review video done by former NFL QBs it really opens the eyes to how good Burrow is and well he is operating in the scheme. Alot of stuff that goes beyond his impressive stats. IMO, the best game he played was against Denver on the road. He made two/three killer throws and had a couple killer scrambles and BAM! Screw your tough defense Denver and home field advantage.....you are getting a loss. Against the Raiders the throw to CJ mind blowing and the infamous whistle play just off the charts great, IMO. Then mix that with Chase who is off the charts good already.
Stripes 939 Report post Posted January 19 Zach Kerr seems like Mike Daniels 2.0. Fantastic pickup.

Stripes 939 Report post Posted January 19 Small sample.
ArmyBengal 1,021 Report post Posted January 19 Kerr has played in 95 games over his 8 years in the league and started 16 of those. He has 9.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles during his time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying the guy is top of the league, but he's not bad for needing to grab someone at this point.
HoosierCat 881 Report post Posted January 19 33 minutes ago, Stripes said: Small sample. Eh, I dunno. 13 games, 4 starts, 1 short of trying his career high in tackles. It was his best year by far tho. 58.8 in 2021 on a far, far smaller sample. His career has basically been like that. 50 grades one season, high 70s the next, 60s after that etc. Seems like a decent backup who might have pushed to above average if he'd been able to find some stability but never managed to stick longer than 3 seasons with a team. ArmyBengal 1,021 Report post Posted January 19 We are going to need a 100% T-Rex for this game. His pass rush simply cannot be duplicated by another player on the roster. Let's go Trey !!!

ArmyBengal 1,021 Report post Posted January 20 I like the “potential” of Ossai, but who really knows ?? It’s fun to picture him as this beast coming off the edge, but there’s an equal shot at him busting out. Love me some T-Rex !!!
ShulaSteakhouse 385 Report post Posted January 20 The Bengals' aren't going to be able to run the ball again I'm guessing. Mixon also seems banged-up. Easily the most disappointing aspect of this team (the entire running game). The o-line is just not good at RB (despite the good PP grades). If the defense keeps them in it, looks like more passing heroics willl be needed. I don't know how long they can keep this up.

Bengals did leave points on the field so that’s were you can point lack of run game. We’ll see.

Kansas City would have eaten us alive if we had played them like we played the Raiders. Mixon had a great year but yeah, he does not seem like he's at 100% right now! AMPHAR 603 Report post Posted January 20 Even more impressive because they struggled on 3rd downs early in the year. Burrow and this offense has made steady progress towards being elite.
