GROIIIDayton
Ed Reed was in the Cincinnati airport yesterday. Has anyone heard why? He is not a free agent, but maybe there is a trade in the works??????

GROIIIDayton
I have no source. My uncle saw him there told some people he was there on business.

skyline
I wouldn't put too much thought into this. As far as I'm concerned, merely clicking on this thread put more thought into it than it deserves. Nothing to see here...carry on, folks. BengalsOwn
We'd be giving up a hell of a lot to get the guy...If there was a trade, he wouldn't be here himself, because he wouldn't be involved in the negotiations...And I think the Bengals wiould be breaking tampering rules... Jet23
Christmas is over, so I doubt that we will be opening that gift. I actually wouldn't mind seeing them trade for a DT or quality Safety, but no way the Ravens help us out. He is a stud though.
indybengalsfan72
I know that Reed is a free agent next year..Maybe Marvin and Ed are tight and he's visiting him..Maybe the Bengals will sign Kitna and turn around and trade him for Reed....??? Who knows. But I was checking the Ravens board and didn't find anything except that a lot of Ravens fans feel that he can't cut it anymore and that he's overpaid. One thing we do know is that the Bengals will be active in the FA market(as long as Mike Brown makes good offers)so we can at least look forward to that. NJ29
Reed isn't coming to Cincy....HOWEVER...There is a rumor going around that Ray Ray has called the Bengals twice in the past week about possibly coming to Cinci. Again, a rumor.Linkhttp://go-bengals.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13487
HoosierCat
One thing we do know is that the Bengals will be active in the FA market(as long as Mike Brown makes good offers)so we can at least look forward to that.Well, we'll see. You'd be surprised -- or if you've been reading bengals.com for a few seasons, maybe not -- at how fast Hobson can make that $16 million in cap space vanish. A few million for RFA tenders, a few million more for the rookie pool, extend one of our OTs, a "prudent" reserve against injuries in the season...poof! It's gone & we haven't even reached March 1.I'm hopeful...but I ain't gettin' my hopes up.

That said... it's going to cost more just because of his name... so since he's a Raven, and he will carry a price tag, I say no thanks. ShulaSteakhouse
Silliness aside, the thought of Madeiu and Reed back there covering the field gives me goose bumps.Couple that single move with a good DT and DE via the draft or FA - and all of a sudden your cookin' with gas, as they used to say. Section 310
I once saw Rick Flair at the bar in the Dayton Airport. However, I don'tthink that means he will be playing for the Bengals next season.

membengal
And in today's edition of land of the obvious, a few more are clued into the fact that Cincinnati is a Delta hub, and many, many, many flights connect through Northern Kentucky, carrying their passengers on to various other airports. So we would then have three interchangable MLBs; the real Ray, the next Ray (Nate Webster) and lil Ray (Odell). Maybe we could go to a 2-5 defense, since we get no pass rush from our front line anyway.
