we will pick off Anthony Wrong left and right.

 Funny quip, but IMHO I don't think the Bengals will get as many chances to pick off too many passes because they'll be concentrating on running the ball at our line until we prove we can stop them.

WTF, is it just me or do the steelers get all of the lucky breaks and pull out all of the games at the end when its close. Oh well, I guess that we'll just help out ourselves like usual, Damn, imagine if Stover hit that kick that he had missed.

If Stover hit the field goal, then they probably try to do more than just run out the clock at the end. It's a different game if that happened.

It wasn't lucky or anything, it's that Anthony Wright blows. He had that guy wide f**king open on the sideline, which was almost in field goal range, but he throws such a moonball that he overthrew it and it was incomplete. If he gives our CBs that much time to get under the ball, their defense is going to have to score points.

best case ravens win in a hard fight in which big ben gets hurt :P

You almost called it! God, I hate Ben Roethlisberger.

P.S. Does this game mean that the Steelers aren't as good as they seemed to be last week, or that the Ravens are better than we thought?

I think the Ravens are better than we thought!

Actually, I think it is both. Everyone has been stroking the Steeler's egos this week after they beat us up... but most of us agreed that the game wouldn't have looked anything like that if we had executed early. We beat ourselves, and gave them the opportunity to do it to us. Pittsburgh has looked very vulnerable in several games this year.

Yes, they manhandled the Titans and Texans... but they lost to a 4-3 NE who struggled all season... they very easily could have (and probably should have) lost to a 4-4 SD team, the Jacksonville game showed they rely too much on one guy in Roethlisberger, and they had to drive the field and come back against a 2-5 Baltimore team.

They are a good team... but I don't think they are head and shoulders better than us like most people are saying.

Baltimore may be better than we thought... because face it, they are a lesser version of Pittsburgh... but this shows that they have the recipe to beat us, if we let them. We need to execute early on Sunday, or it could be a repeat of our embarrasing loss against Pit.

The thing with Pitt is that they are a team that executes very well. They make few mistakes, and big part of their strategy -- at least, it seems this way to me -- is just to do their thing (whether it's initially working or not) and wait for the other team to screw up so they can capitalize. That's what they did last week in Cincy. They just kept playing their game, even tho it netted them few points in the first half, while the Bengals obligingly blew multiple opportunities. Then they blew the game open in the second half thanks in part to a pick.

The game was close last night because Balti kept the errors to a minimum, at last while I was watching.

I don't think this game exposes the Steelers for any weakness. If anything, it makes them look better. They went into a tough division game, were down late, and had their 2nd year quarterback lead them to another win. Baltimore is still crappy.
