NEW Bengals Website

Bring back the old easy to read site and dump this piece of crap. When I pull it up, 1/10th of the screen is ads, 50% of the screen is just the tiger stripe on the right, and the text size is too freakin small to read on the articles.

You must have some weird settings or something, because it looks fine to me. The stripes on the right side take up like less than an inch for me and the text is just fine.

What I like about it is that i can now post pics again...something I can no longer do here and I always enjoyed...an unfixable glitch apparently.

What I don't like but I hope it will change is that it doesn't feel like a community that I often feel around here...It's one of the strengths of this board and something I haven't felt as strong anywhere else.

But for now it's get to know you time...I hope soon it will feel like stop feeling like a bunch of random fans.

I see a number of you have registered for the "other" boards.

I hope that most of you choose to do most of your discussion here, where there's more freedom to express yourself - Orange's disturbing pics aside.....

Then again, I hope DPM switches allegiances and remains there rather than here, although it is likely he'll see a lot of his posts there deleted by the far less tolerant volunteer admins there

I know what you mean Orange, something just isn't clicking over there.

That and the fact it seems everyone is from Go-bengals or huddles. Too many inside jokes.

the zone is where I shall reside.

Me too Ox...I'd imagine some of our fringe guys will go over there, but if you're a part of the family, then I'm sure you'll find yourself home.

Plus, I think I'm in love with your girl. Is that possible from a picture...God forgive me.

Add to that it seems that there is a constant "my board is better than yours". Id like to officially claim my allegiance to Bengalszone <_<

I can not seem to find the weekly press releases that were posted in acrobat (.pdf). (The Benglas relese and their next opponent's release). They were linked to the two helmuts on the left colmn of front page of the old site.

Does anyone know where this info can be found on the new site?

That schedule band with all the team logos about halfway down the page? The logos are links to the gameday page. Only the links for the first two games vs. the Browns and Vikes are active, but I figured there must be a gameday page for the bears game by now. Since they're all the same format (gameday[date]_[team name].asp) it was easy to check. The link to the weekly .pdf file is there (the weekly press releases for each team).

Why they're "hiding" this page, who knows?

I like the look of the new site but even with my fibre connection (100MB/s) it takes me an extra couple of seconds to load up. I wonder how that would translate to dial-up?

I prefer the old site, nice and simple.

To fully load the page on ye olde 56k dial up takes about a minute 45. However, everything but the ads loads up in the first 10 seconds (maybe a few seconds longer is they've changed the main picture) so you can just hit the stop button and move on to the content. Really doesn't seem to take any longer than the old site did.

I'll register at the new board only after I've been kicked off of this board....something that's bound to happen sooner or later.

Oh yeah. Any minute now and that warn level of yours is certain to take off like a frikken rocket.

As far as the new Bengals.com, I LOVE it. HUGE improvement. And if in the transition they happened to lose that waste of web space previously known as "Jungle Noise," I'm even happier. That alleged forum just sucked. I would say it sucked giant sweaty donkey balls, but that would be an insult to giant sweaty donkey ball suckers!

...now if they just used Bengalszones staff as well... B)

Many thanks JoiseyCat :D

Aparently the gameday page is not complete, there are some bad links, etc.

But the weekly release is working. It seems the web staff can be reached at the Fan Feedback forum. They indicated they are working on returning easier access to these releases in this thread -- Pregame press releases, call for return of press releases
