HoosierCat
Good timing. TJ is also not well...(per the post)BRUISED NOT BROKEN - Wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh is questionable for Sunday's game with a bruised left hand. He left Paul Brown Stadium with the hand heavily wrapped but said he expects to be ready to play against Jacksonville. Lewis listed Houshmandzadeh as probable.Three other players are also probable: right tackle Willie Anderson (back), linebacker Brian Simmons (neck) and running back Rudi Johnson (knee). He is close to indispensible. The three receiver set with him, CJ and Henry is very very effective at this point.

The thing with Housh is that his strength is precisely those glue-like appendages on the end of his arms. So if there's a chance there's a problem do you not dress Kwash again and hope that Water and if needed Perry can pick up the slack?
Stripes
Stupid pick, I agree with TJ and Chriscovga. Worthless, won't make the team.Bengals Draft grade yesterday-A-Bengals draft grade today-D-Overall Draft grade-C+ Gotta love those confident Bengals fans. If TJ comes up hurting, Walter in the slot? I think he can do that.
DontPushMe
Exactly like I said, hes a kick returner. And has turned out to be a pretty solid one at that.
ShulaSteakhouse
Yes Perry has turned out to be a solid kick off returner, kudos to the Bengals' scouting department which has done an amazing job the last 2 years.
HairOnFire
doubt he even makes the team, this was a throwaway pick, unless he turns out to be a very good kick returner Wow, you've really got this draft thing down. Doubt he makes the team. A throwaway pick. Why not argue that the Bengals should have just skipped the pick?

No way he would of made it as a WR, but he did as a kick returner. The fact that you try and find something wrong in that, rather than dissing TTJackson's post just proves that you have some obsession with me. That or you are just really stupid.
schweinhart
Tab Perry has been extremely impressive as the KR. Dude has got some serious speed. Somebody needs to work w/ Kevin Walter to get him to charge the block better as the lead blocker for Perry so Perry don't have to hesitate as much before that first lane opens.Perry has also shown he is the quickest of the gunner downfield and he delivers pop in coverage. As the slot WR, Perry's time is coming. But I'd be surprise if they don't go w/ Walter as the backup slot until Perry convinces them that's his job too.

Then when the thread was bumped you claimed to have called it correctly all along. And that sounds strangely familiar to when you called the selection of Chris Perry a pick the Bengals should have skipped....only to claim you loved the pick later. Frankly, you don't seem to understand the draft until weeks or months later. My advice? Perhaps you should do your credibility a favor when the next draft rolls around by refraining from posting about draft selections for a couple of months. Perhaps you should do your credibility a favor when the next draft rolls around by refraining from posting about draft selections for a couple of months. You make yourself sound stupider every time you post. Theres no relation. As ive showed you 20+ times (and youve forgotten 20+ times) I liked the Perry pick from the start, I had posts from minuites after it saying it was a good one, I had him as the 2nd best player on board at the time, you are the only one who thinks that way about that pick. All I said was he was a kick returner. I didnt mean throwaway pick as in we might as well of not picked it, all I mean was, whatever its a 6th rounder, either he will turn out to be a pretty good kick returner and stick with the team, or will be cut, and if hes cut, hes a 6th rounder, so it doesnt matter. While we are going back and pointing out trivial things that are meaningless right now, lets look at some of your mistakes from this thread:Maybe they wanted to draft a Perry who was healthy enough to play? You for months talked about how Chris Perry cant get over his injurys and is a bust, looks like hes made it onto the field for 4 straight weeks. That sounds clear to me -- Cliff Russell and Kevin Walter go.So the 6 WR would be:ChadHoushP-DubK-DubTabHenry HoFs response:Yup, that's exactly the way it looks to me.Oh man, you were wrong again! I should bring this up for the next 3 months!Get a life man, do you ever leave your house? Maybe you need some friends or something, trying so hard to act like a hardass on an internet message board. TJJackson
I just walked by the practice fields on my way back from the parking lot into work, and they were working on kickoff returns. Tab Perry was back to receive.I only watched for a few minutes (they were doing non contact drills) through a large gap in the bushes that surround the field, but Tab Perry was maybe 15 yards away, and my lord, he is huge. :-)

HairOnFire
you guys deal with this on PM or I'm shutting this down...this he said-she said crap is exhausting to read and polutes the board. Be consistent. You mods keep telling me that I can't attack DPM personally and that I have to limit my rants to football related issues. I've done that. So what's your beef? If you want to complain about something my suggestion would be his decision to call me stupid, his repeated claim that I'm obsessing about him, his claim that I have no life and never leave the house, and his claim that I'm just being an internet hardass. So does that sound like a football related rant to you or a personal attack? Play it anyway you see fit, but if you're going to let this guy hide behind your dress you should at least be consistent and hold him to the same standards. HairOnFire
Just checking - when I call DPM a complete blithering imbecile, would this be crossig the line? In my opinion it's not, but then again I just read a post on the Huddles board where Pushy was pimping Mark Roman as being a better player than K2 and Olahete.(Sp?)
