Stripes Posted Sunday at 12:13 AM Report Posted Sunday at 12:13 AM The back-end receivers are all making plays tonight. Quote
volcom69 Posted Sunday at 12:14 AM Report Posted Sunday at 12:14 AM Awesome TD Young and nice throw Johnson Quote
volcom69 Posted Sunday at 12:33 AM Report Posted Sunday at 12:33 AM Myers is so good fun to watch. Nice find with him Quote
volcom69 Posted Sunday at 12:34 AM Report Posted Sunday at 12:34 AM Hard to get rid of that guy also, Hudson just always seems to be there to catch the ball. Quote
Stripes Posted Sunday at 01:04 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:04 AM Sean Clifford currently has a perfect passer rating. QB controversy. Watch out, Burrow. Quote
Stripes Posted Sunday at 01:07 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:07 AM Landon Robinson with the Geno Atkins sack. Quote
Stripes Posted Sunday at 01:31 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:31 AM Wide receivers currently on the field: Noah Thomas Keyshawn Williams Something Moore and… Charlie Jones Might be telling. 1 Quote
COB Posted Sunday at 01:43 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:43 AM Boye Mafe seems like a good dude. Quote
COB Posted Sunday at 01:46 AM Report Posted Sunday at 01:46 AM The Rs are spamming the living shit out of this game with attack ads. The election is still two and a half months away. Quote

Yea it’s time to move on from Charlie, to many good young guys showing off. He is done here. 1 Quote
volcom69 Posted Sunday at 02:18 AM Report Posted Sunday at 02:18 AM No TDs were allowed tonight great game by the backups tonight No Timeouts even used in the second half should make sure Zac is feeling ok as well. Actually overall I know it’s preseason, but there really looks like some good young players out there. These rookies are playing great out there, once again another great game for Brian Parker on the o-line seen him pancake a couple guys tonight, and he flies off the line. Fun game! Quote
COB Posted Sunday at 10:49 PM Report Posted Sunday at 10:49 PM Based on this game I’d say Landon Robinson is likely making the team. His sack and a half came against depth guys, but if he ends up on the field it’ll be later in the season when injuries require it and some of the o line guys on the other teams will be depth guys by then too. I can rationalize anything to get the guys I like some playing time! Quote
Stripes Posted yesterday at 12:51 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:51 AM My best guess for the 53: QB (2) - Burrow, Flacco RB (3) - C. Brown, Perine, Brooks WR (6) - Chase, Higgins, Iosivas, Tinsley, Young, Meyers TE (5) - Gesicki, Sample, All, Hudson, Endries OL (9) - O. Brown, Fairchild, Karras, Risner, Mims, Lew, Parker, Foster, Ford (Offense - 25) Edge (5) - Mafe, Murphy, Stewart, Howell, C. Johnson IDL (6) - Lawrence, B. Hill, Allen, Slaton, Jenkins, Robinson LB (4) - Knight, Carter, Burks, Heyward S (4) - Cook, Battle, Dugger, Jules CB (6) - Turner, D. Hill, J. Davis, T. Davis, Ivey, Taylor (Defense - 25) ST - McPherson, Rehkow, Wagner Quote
Stripes Posted yesterday at 12:53 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:53 AM Another trade or last minute signing is still possible. Our swing tackles suck ass, so whoever among Ford/Rivers is easy to replace in theory. I still hate slot corner and LB. Quote
COB Posted yesterday at 01:05 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:05 AM Agree with it all except I think they’ll add Rivers to the OL group and keep 4 tight ends, not 5. No idea which one they try to stash on the PS. Quote
COB Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:10 AM I loved watching the game last night but the lack of cheerleader coverage was disappointing. They only mentioned the cheerleaders once, in the 4th quarter: “I’m Mike Watts, pre season announcer for the Bengals. I’ve already declared my unconditional love for my partner here in the booth, Anthony Munoz. Now, we could show some gratuitous shots of a particularly hot cheerleader on the bengals sideline. She’s gyrating suggestively, she’s barely dressed, she’s in her first year of teaching and since she’s a total nympho she’s already doinking a 17 year-old student at the school in which she teaches. She’s a complete smoke show, and…” Munoz interrupts: “In my day we would have called her a total piece of ass Mike. Faba gasha, fump…erghh….” /Excessive horniness and CTE renders Munoz unable to speak./ Mike Watts: “That’s what I’m talking about Anthony! Anyway, we could show her, but we showed her last week, so instead it’s down to Joe Danneman who will interview yet another tight end who will say we’re ready to have a good season. Down to you Joe!” 2 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted yesterday at 12:30 PM Author Report Posted yesterday at 12:30 PM I was sick as shit all weekend and neither went to or even watched the game. I did watch the highlights yesterday and it looks like everything went pretty well for the backups. I was really intrigued to hear that Zac gave up play calling for the game to Pitcher. If Meyers and Robinson don't make the team something is wrong. This WR corps is fucking crazy from top to bottom. Just a plethora of talent. Nice problem to have. Quote
COB Posted yesterday at 12:44 PM Report Posted yesterday at 12:44 PM You missed probably the best performance by a Bengals team in quite a while. QB play was pretty great considering neither guy is going to make the opening day roster. As far as play calling - the offense just worked. I don’t know if it was play calling or execution, maybe a more sophisticated eye than mine could determine that. Unrealistic PreSeason Expectations are reaching an all-time high. I don’t know how we keep ending up with this insane level of receiver depth. If we could somehow transfer (trade) some of that for o-line depth, that would be great. Hopefully Mike has a great grandson in the 6th grade over at Xavier who will take an interest in helping grandpa read the latest Street & Smiths and enter a bunch of notes in the Franklin Planner ($5.99 at Ollies).
