COB Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Sam Darnold’s agent has to be jumping off a bridge somewhere. Dude was in line to make 40 million a year, now he’s absolutely blown it in these last two games. Quote
AMPHAR Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Yeah has to be frustrating for a Vikings fan. Cruising along and you've found your Franchise QB, can trade away the one you drafted and then boom disaster. Quote
COB Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Wow! These divisional games look really great. These 4 are usually the best weekend of nfl football, in my opinion. Chiefs vs Texans - great young QB vs whatever the chiefs are. Great game. Commanders vs Lions - Another great young QB, facing the feel good story of the last couple years. But the Lions are riddled with injury. Great game. Rams vs Eagles - Boring as hell. Ravens vs Bills - The league saved this one for last. It’s basically Ali/Frazier. The two best quarterbacks left in the playoffs, they are also the funnest QBs to watch. And it’s in Buffalo, which can be fun. Hopefully no one gets hurt (in the parking lot before the game). Quote
Stripes Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Priority #1: Go Ravens’ opponent Priority #2: Go Lions Priority #3: Go Chiefs’ opponent 1 1 Quote
ArmyBengal Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 Rooting for the Texans in that one, despite thinking they take the L. Wouldn't be upset with either the Commanders or Lions there honestly. Don't really have a dog in the fight. Rams and Eagles? Who cares? Bills and Ravens? I guess the Bills. I hope it snows it's ass off. Should be a good game to watch. Quote
AMPHAR Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 I think Rams vs Eagles is going to be a good game. Looking forward to that one right behind Bills/Ravens. Would love for the KC Chiefs to come out rusty and lose to the Texans. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted January 14 Report Posted January 14 I don't know why the Rams are so NOT intriguing to me. I don't dislike the Rams, don't dislike their fans or anything else to be honest. I think it's maybe that they've seemingly flown below the radar for me and seem disinteresting. Almost like , "The Rams are in the playoffs" ?? Seriously though, I have no idea. It's just a game I will watch highlights from. Good luck to both teams... Quote

Shot of Stafford throwing a pass. Announcer says Stafford is great and that he, the announcer, personally loves Stafford. 2. Close up shot of the Rams coach, he’s wearing a child’s medium size shirt. His head weighs 35 pounds. 3. Shot of Stafford passing, announcer loves Stafford. 4. Close up of Rams coach, who has changed shirts to a child’s small. 5. Shot of Stafford passing… repeat ad nauseum. Chiefs must be vanquished. 2. Lions fans deserve it, Dan Campbell deserves it. Amon Rah St.Brown just for his name. 3. I just want a close game. Keep it clean out there fellas. Quote
TJJackson Posted Wednesday at 01:12 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 01:12 PM one more offseason priority WR Diontae Johnson D O N T sign him no matter if he takes vet min and the extra job of handwashing the Lumina twice a week Quote

Those other guys have been grinding with the team since training camp and here you come, fresh off of getting released because you have head issues, and want to be the focus of the offense? Oh, and these complaints are coming after winning your playoff game? Yeah, you got it all fucked up. Buh Bye... Quote

ArmyBengal Posted Wednesday at 05:54 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:54 PM I always like Erickson. Wasn't even aware he was still playing. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted Wednesday at 06:07 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 06:07 PM He wasn’t. After finishing with the Chargers in 2023, he was on his couch until the Pats signed him to their taxi squad last month. Obviously that gig came to a close once the regular season was over. Now he’s caught on in Houston thanks to Johnson getting waived and a hole opening up on the Texans’ PS after they bumped Wayne up to take his spot. Probably won’t see the field but might get a free trip to the Super Bowl out of it… Quote
TJJackson Posted Wednesday at 06:14 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 06:14 PM Erickson is a good kid. I would like to see the Texans and Detroit in the Superbowl Quote

I generally like the Rams to do well basically because they were the main nemesis to Joe Montana and 49ers in that division. After Superbowl 16 and 23 I wasn't real fond of those guys. But now the Rams won Superbowl 56, so I guess I can hate them too. Quote
COB Posted Wednesday at 10:58 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:58 PM I know I should hate the rams after we lost to them (bad call on Logan Wilson PI robbed us). But they are so dull I don’t give them a second thought one way or the other. Quote
HoosierCat Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM Author Report Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM Ok so props to the Ravens FO. Quote In one of the surprising moves of the NFL season, Diontae Johnson is set to return to the Baltimore Ravens. Per the NFL wire, the Ravens have claimed Johnson off waivers from the Houston Texans -- yet there is a catch to the claim. Since Johnson was released form the Texans this postseason, the Ravens can't play Johnson during these playoffs. Johnson won't officially be on the Ravens roster until after the Super Bowl and will qualify as an unrestricted free agent this offseason. If Johnson signs with another team, he would factor into Baltimore's compensatory pick formula for 2026. The Ravens could get draft capital just by having him count on their roster before the start of the new league year if they decide not to re-sign him and allow him to walk in free agency. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/diontae-johnson-claimed-former-pro-bowl-wr-returns-to-a-team-he-played-for-this-season-but-theres-a-catch/ Quote

Stripes Posted Saturday at 04:20 PM Report Posted Saturday at 04:20 PM Rooting interests are going to be complex today. I said before that "go Chiefs opponent" was priority #3, but "go Ravens opponent" was priority #1. These two things are subtly at odds right now. If Houston beats Kansas City, that would be fun, especially for ArmyBengal and son. However, it would also potentially set up a disaster: Houston at Baltimore for the AFCCG. That must not come to pass. For this reason, since BAL @ BUF isn't until tomorrow, I feel the terrible necessity to root against the worst case scenario. The Chiefs must defeat the Texans to remain in position to crush the Ravens' dreams. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM Report Posted Saturday at 05:34 PM Won’t root against someone else’s rooting interests. For what it’s worth, I don’t want to see any of the teams from the AFC win except for the Texans. If they lose, which I expect, it won’t matter any way. Hate the Chiefs, Ravens and Bills. Just one big bag of playoff suck. That being said, the Ravens Bills game should be really fun to watch just from a football fan perspective. Quote
TJJackson Posted Saturday at 09:51 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:51 PM Cmon Texans.....no more Chiefs in the playoffs......knockem out, please please please Lord God, if the Texans win, I will work with Stripes and Jobu to resurrect Army's pet rodent, dead by blunt force trauma aside to Army: he may turn out to be an angry revenge seeking flesh eating zombie rodent, so take precautions Quote
