HoosierCat Posted May 8 Author Report Posted May 8 Space in the LB room seems pretty tight. If they keep 6 like last year, then 4 spots are already claimed by Wilson, Burks, Knight and Barrett. And they seem to like both Heyward and Njongmeta. I suppose you could sneak one of those guys through to the PS, but even then who does Pratt play over? Given his paycheck you can’t relegate him to teams. I think the die has been cast here. Quote
AMPHAR Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 My guess is they are attempting to trade Pratt but will dump him soon. He's not at voluntaries, I doubt he's apart of TC. Quote

Nothing more than seeing if and when they have primetime games. I really don't care about the rest for the most part. This is actually pretty funny. Drumroll please. The league just announced they’ll now be announcing the international schedule of games on May 13th!! Hold the fucking presses. The rest of the schedule will be announced on the 14th. Looking forward to the announcement that explains the announcement at the draft when Laura Rutledge and complete smoke show Colleen Wolf announced the schedule release date was just an opportunity to allow fans to save the date in their calendars. Also, that announcement had a build up that had me thinking the NFL had cured cancer or something. It was comical. 1 Quote
COB Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 Jadeveon Clowney is available if anyone wants him. Dude is still essentially getting paid for one play he made in college. Has a cousin playing for one of the North Carolina schools named Demon Clowney. Yes, they named him Demon. Anyway Jadeveon has been a high level good player, probably has a few miles left on him. Jadeveon Clowney for the win. Alright chums, let’s do this. LEEEEEEEEROOOYYY JENNNNKINNS!!! Quote
TJJackson Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 I dont see any reason why Golden wouldnt just sit down with Pratt over a nice steak at the Precinct and basically tell him this is a new start and I want you to be part of it Quote

ArmyBengal Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 For those keeping track: Fairchild, Carter, Rivers (who the fuck is that) and Brooks have all been signed to their rookie contracts. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted May 9 Author Report Posted May 9 Another day, another non-update update on Trey, this time from Rapoport. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/05/08/bengals-trey-hendrickson-have-communicated-since-nfl-draft-ian-rapoport/83526324007/ tl;dr a deal will get done eventually. Which, again, we already knew. Quote

That's why there's been no trade interest, either. Quote
HoosierCat Posted May 9 Author Report Posted May 9 Stewart and knight both on site for rookie minicamp but not participating since they aren’t under contract yet. Taylor wouldn’t say if he thought they would be done by Monday. FO did a good job getting everyone else signed before rookie minicamp, but still would be nice if they stepped up and got these done too. Quote
COB Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 We didn’t get the Spain game. I’m disappointed, won’t be heading over there to watch these scrub teams, Washington and Miami. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 9 Report Posted May 9 Hadn’t heard anything about it yet. Neither here nor there though. Yes get the rookies signed now !! Quote
HoosierCat Posted May 12 Author Report Posted May 12 Whatever's up with BJ Hill's foot doesn't sound too serious, thankfully. https://atozsports.com/nfl/cincinnati-bengals-news/zac-taylor-bj-hill-foot-injury-update-bengals-otas-voluntary-workouts/ Quote
HoosierCat Posted Tuesday at 01:41 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 01:41 PM Yup, it's official, no international game for Cincy this season. https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/cincinnati-bengals-wont-play-international-game-2025-despite-joe-burrow-desire Both the Clowns and Steelers headed over tho. AMPHAR Posted Tuesday at 04:16 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:16 PM Hendrickson in street clothes at voluntary practice. Something going on, I guess. Quote

Yeah, he showed up so he could spend 25 minutes bitching to the media about sh*t we already know. F*ck him. 1 Quote
WelshBengal Posted Tuesday at 06:28 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 06:28 PM I don't think he was bitching, I think he was airing his genuine issues and his frustrations with the front office and I can understand that. Its not his fault Cleveland and the Raiders overpaid the position and the Bengals are not wanting to match that which is also understandable. I think the Text from Zac seems to be the issue that has caused this saying if you don't turn up to mandatories your getting fined and from what I read into Trey's responses he isn't going to turn up. Neither side is going to relent on any offer and I can see him sitting out the season based on how he was talking about his family. Unfortunately this means the media are again going to call the Bengals cheap, not like we haven't heard that before and its going to cause another fucking distraction before and during the season.... There is no way he sits out the season. He’ll be like 31 having not played for a year, good luck getting paid then. What he wants isn’t realistic. All this no communication stuff is basically he turned down whatever the raise/extension was and now the bengals have said ok. Sorry, he’ll just have to accept the consequences of his own actions. Quote
Stripes Posted Tuesday at 07:25 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 07:25 PM I struggle to be too critical of the Bengals on this one. why won’t you immediately and enthusiastically extend the player with a pay raise you already extended with a pay raise once before only for him to complain about it It sucks A LOT, because the man is a first team all-pro. We may not get another one of those at his position for two decades. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Tuesday at 07:54 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 07:54 PM It is Trey's fault that he signed the extension instead of betting on himself and hitting the market at an earlier age. It's also not the Bengals fault that other teams overpaid at the position. Wanted the secure situation when it benefitted him and now wants a pay raise as well. He could have played out his contract, bet on himself, hit the market and rolled in money. He took the sure thing and has no one to blame but himself. Love that Trey has been a Bengal and want him to bring it this year. However, fuck you Trey !!! Quote
HoosierCat Posted Wednesday at 02:49 AM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 02:49 AM Bookface says we go to Buffalo week 1. See if it’s true. Quote
Stripes Posted Wednesday at 02:59 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 02:59 AM I like that. Maybe a difficult opening week forces them to wake up. Granted, that wouldn’t save a shitty game plan. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Wednesday at 11:40 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 11:40 AM Not worried about Trey until game week 1. Its just posturing. He knows he's got the current contract in his pocket. He knows what the Bengals are offering. Knows what teams were willing to pay in a trade. These are just games you play to move the Bengals offer closer to the potential trading teams. That's my take. I think he showed his hand mentioning incentives. Unless Bengals threaten to pull an offer. There's not much incentive right now for Trey to move. Probably won't be all summer. 1 Quote
