HoosierCat Posted Tuesday at 07:42 PM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 07:42 PM Yup. Sucks. Sounds like the reports that his first surgery was not done correctly were accurate. Quote #Bengals' rookie TE Erick All Jr. is expected to miss the 2025 season due to his ACL injury suffered Nov. 3. All's injury exposed a complicated fix from a previous ACL tear and requires two surgeries. https://www.si.com/nfl/bengals/news/report-cincinnati-erick-all-tight-end-to-miss-2025-season-due-to-injury-01jjq1wd82bj Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Tuesday at 07:43 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 07:43 PM Aaaaaaand there's the risk with All, which was noted heavily. Better make sure that Gesicki is a priority. He just got more valuable. Quote
Stripes Posted Tuesday at 09:10 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 09:10 PM Pretty “funny” that we’re getting the absolute worst-case outcomes from the risky Erick All and Jermaine Burton selections. Sometimes risks backfire, so I’m not necessarily even hurling blame. Just sucks. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Tuesday at 11:02 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:02 PM Hate to say it, but solid TE draft class this year. All looked like a player and it sucks his knee gave out again. The recovery/rehab of those is tiresome. Quote
COB Posted Wednesday at 03:05 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:05 AM On one hand it’s amazing the tight end injuries we’ve had to deal with through the years. But on the other hand it’s most teams. Tight end is a brutal position, these dudes basically get their bodies destroyed. 1 Quote

Gesicki is the more modern TE/WR type. All could catch too but was more the old school TE/FB guy. And I really liked how the offense looked with him in there. I haven’t looked at TEs much so far in the draft but I’d love to find a guy like him. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Wednesday at 01:54 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 01:54 PM Getting carried away with all the influx of draft info. My early take is there will be a good DL prospect in the 1st and 2nd round. Which leads them to tagging/extending Tee for 2025. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Wednesday at 11:16 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 11:16 PM All looked great when he was healthy this year and agree with the comments. That being said, the knee were noted in college and they knew it was a risk. It bit them. Such is life. Honestly, I’m intrigued by what McLachlan might be. He was solid in college. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted Thursday at 07:50 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 07:50 PM County bringing in a “stadium expert” to boost negotiations. Quote The county is retaining David Abrams, a banker and consultant with New York-based Inner Circle Sports, to work with other lawyers on the county’s team. Abrams has spent 30 years as a lead investment banker and financing adviser for public and private facilities, including stadiums, arenas and other sports facilities. He has advised on six NFL stadium projects in Atlanta; Houston; Miami; Tampa, Fla.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and Nashville, Tenn. https://archive.ph/BKXBb Can’t hurt, we’ll see if it helps. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Thursday at 07:54 PM Report Posted Thursday at 07:54 PM Nope, can't hurt at all. However, it takes people being both willing to listen and move from their current stance. How much they move is the story. Should be interesting. Quote

Some years ago I had an acquaintance who worked as a consultant, primarily in the food industry. He once described his job to me as walking back and forth between two conference rooms when the relationship between a manufacturer and a retailer had gotten to the “Fuck you! No fuck YOU!” level, which seems to be about where the Bengals and the county are. He would basically just let one side vent at him, then take the usable parts of whatever they wanted and present them calmly to the other group. They’d vent right back, but he would make a little progress and then the cycle repeats until the two sides have calmed down and gotten to some common ground. I suspect that’s what needs to happen here. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted yesterday at 12:21 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:21 AM It’s sort of like mediation in a lawsuit. The insurance agency offers this much. The other party wants this much. When all is said and done, the insurance agency gives more than they want to while simultaneously the other party gets less they wanted. Middle ground… Oddly enough you walk away thinking FUCK YOU !! 1 Quote
COB Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM Report Posted yesterday at 12:33 AM I’m a consultant in the food industry. My latest report: the teenager working the drive through window at the Arby’s on State Route 79 in Heath, Ohio, should refrain from mocking the customers who haven’t kept up with Arby’s menu changes and don’t know that they haven’t sold potato cakes in a couple years. 2 Quote

AMPHAR Posted yesterday at 02:50 PM Report Posted yesterday at 02:50 PM Tucker had an off year. Probably wasn't getting all the soreness out of his penis. Quote

Money must really cloud the fuck out of your judgement when making THAT much. I struggled with money when I got out of the Army and was busting my ass to get my family back on track. I got on at the VA and was going back to school. I kept working and got promotions quickly. Then it happened. One day on my to school, I filled up my gas tank. I got in the car and started driving and it hit me. I had no idea how much it took to fill my gas tank. Like literally NO idea and I thought, "Wow, that's cool". I even called my wife and told her about it. She just laughed at me, but it really hit me. I had spent most of military career not making shit and struggling. Got out of the Army and struggled. Worked and worked and worked some more and finally got my family pointed in the right direction. All these years later and I couldn't imagine fucking all that hard work up with such a poor decision. What are these guys doing? Quote

Like Watson it will probably never rise to criminal charges. If its true, its some stuff he probably doesn't want out. If its assault then were are the criminal charges? Goodell's behavior policies has opened up these players as targets. Its fun to poke fun a Ravens fans considering all the shit was thrown at the Bengals back in the day. But at the end of the day, if its not criminal then I don't care. I don't think teams should be making roster decisions based on public opinion of behavior because there's a certain percentage of dirt ball that plays in the league. The league is not pro active about preventing the entry of dirt balls OR removing them once in the league. Kareem Hunt is working an 8 year career and nearly 8K all purpose yards. Chiefs cut him because of women abuse video. Good for them, I guess. Except he's back and it doesn't appear ever missed a season. If you want to win a Superbowl its possible to do it with a clean roster but you reduce your chances if you start making your roster decisions through a moral litmus test. Eventually every team will deal with some sort of issue or multiple. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 23 hours ago Report Posted 23 hours ago Oh don't get me wrong, I don't really care what teams decide to do. I can hate a player for whatever they did, while simultaneously cheering for them when the team wins. Example: Jackson Carmen is a piece of shit. I was really happy when the Bengals released his dumb ass. However, he was an absolute bully in the Bills playoff game in the snow and I cheered the hell out of that. My point is, I will never understand how people can work so hard to get themselves and their families to a good situation in life, only to make a stupid decision that jeopardizes it all. Just stupidity of epic proportions. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Regarding offseason notes: I really hope Burrow is keeping track of these guys recently taking shots at him saying he’s not an elite QB. Quote
