ArmyBengal Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 It's not that Pittsburgh is bad, it's that their fans are abysmal to watch a game around. Same in Cleveland. I didn't have a bad experience in Baltimore, but have heard some have. Buffalo still ranks at the top for me. Shit bag city, shit bag fans. That's being nice. Quote
TJJackson Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 so when deciding on an NFL city to visit, also check out the food that is special or even unique to the city New Orleans is rife with great eats Baltimore is legendary for crab cakes and other crab-based eats Shittsburgh has, uh, well, hmm......a cold cuts sandwich that includes fries and slaw, and if you ask to not to have those on your sandwich, they yell at ya Quote
HoosierCat Posted January 12 Author Report Posted January 12 To no one’s surprise, Vrabel gets the NE job. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/patriots-hire-mike-vrabel-as-franchises-next-head-coach-former-new-england-star-returns-home/ Quote
ArmyBengal Posted January 12 Report Posted January 12 Good for Vrabel? I don’t think NE is a great place to be though and can’t say as I think Drake Maye is the future franchise QB they were hoping for. Whatever though… Quote

HoosierCat Posted Thursday at 06:51 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 06:51 PM (Note I’m still considering buying tix to the Dokken concert at the Hammond Horseshoe casino on Friday…) Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Thursday at 08:58 PM Report Posted Thursday at 08:58 PM I don't why I thought Bob Segar when I read Billy Joel. That's a big no for me. Dokken? In 2025? Dude, as long as you know what you are getting into. Don Dokken hardly sings. Low tone and almost talking instead of singing these days. If I could at least hear George Lynch play the tunes, I could see it, but they have a bunch of hacks. Look them up on YouTube. Sadly horrendous. Saw Dokken, Whitesnake and Aerosmith at the Cincinnati Gardens in like 1987 or 1988. I don't think Whitesnake was suppose to be there. Stole a 1.75 liter bottle of JD from my grandpa and got wasted in the parking lot beforehand. One of the best times I had with my brother was at this concert. 17 and all kinds of girls. Back when concerts were like $15.00. So much fun to see shows back then. Lived for them. 1 Quote

AMPHAR Posted 14 hours ago Report Posted 14 hours ago Right before the COVID shutdowns. I went in cold for Poison/Cheap Trick concert. Price was under $20. My mind had completely forgotten about Cheap Trick until they started playing. Brett Michaels for all his faults from being a Steelers blow hard, puts on a great show still. I caught Aerosmith, they popped up in the lawn for about 5 of their best know hits it was awesome. There are about a handful of 80s bands I wish I could go see in their prime. Unfortunately, I have heard nightmares about Motley Crue shows and how expensive bad they are. My older brother used to tape his ticket stubs up on a wall, sometimes even burn them a little with a lighter. So bad ass. So metal. It'd be funny to see the names and prices on those. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago My brother was two years older than I was so from the time I was 14 home and I were catching shows anywhere within a couple hours all through the 80’s. Such a great time and crazy affordable. No one holding up cell phones up, missing out on what is happening right in front of them. Crowds that were into the show instead of of standing around seemingly oblivious. Still one of my favorite 80’s era concerts was the Monsters of Rock tour at the then Hoosier Dome. Van Halen, Scorpions, Metallica, Dokken and Kingdom Come. Hard to believe Metallica was in the middle of the 5 bands playing. It’s been a few years since I last saw a show. Maybe Buckcherry? I really do love music and have seen an enormous amount of shows. Should have kept the tickets. Oh well… Quote
HoosierCat Posted 1 hour ago Author Report Posted 1 hour ago Last concert I saw must be about 15 years ago now. Queensryche. Small venue, like 2,000 people tops. Fkking rocked. Me and a friend screaming along with Jet City Woman drunk off our ass. Fantastic night. Quote
