Bengals picked up Dax’s fifth year option.

I hope they try Dax back at Safety and not have the coverage safety limitations Lou required.   I think he has the range and ball hawk abilities to be a factor there.   But we'll see.

Nah. Going rate for CBs these days is $20m+. If he plays anything like he was early last year it’s a bargain.

I don't have an issue with picking up his option when considering the going rate.
I also hope Dax has a great year.  What I don't want is them paying him top of the market for that one year on an extension.
Do well, get a decent extension without resetting the whole damn position market and move on.

Well, that or suck and get injured again and then we move on.

Based on this it sounds like he might get some snaps there (“chess piece” etc.) but it seems clear they see him mainly at corner.
