ArmyBengal Posted March 25 Author Report Posted March 25 So it’s the Bengals or nothing for Trey. Good luck sitting out a year and thinking you might cash in next year. 1 Quote
Stripes Posted March 25 Report Posted March 25 Looking forward to taking care of the Trey Hendrickson extension so we can shift focus to next year’s Trey Hendrickson contract dispute. 2 Quote
COB Posted Tuesday at 03:20 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:20 PM It’s not looking good for Scherff. Bengals sending signals they are set until after the draft. If they were going to sign him I assume they’d have done so by now. Replacing their two guards with something better provided the Brown family with a very low bar. Just what the doctor ordered. Hopefully that doctor has some time available in the fall if this underwhelming performance by the front office results in Burrow getting hurt. Quote
COB Posted Tuesday at 04:55 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 04:55 PM Absolutely shocking quote from Dehner’s piece in The Athletic today: “The last time the Bengals gave one of their offensive line draft picks a second contract was 2011 fourth-rounder Clint Boling. They have drafted 20 offensive linemen since.” Quote
HoosierCat Posted Tuesday at 07:33 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 07:33 PM I think most teams are done with FA until after the draft. The guys left out there are mostly bargain bin types that we used to bang on the team for signing. If we want difference makers now, it will be up to Tobin and his scouts to find them. Quote
COB Posted Wednesday at 03:11 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:11 AM Kind of off topic, but Chris Henry’s son announced he’s chosen to play college football at ohio state. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Wednesday at 12:58 PM Author Report Posted Wednesday at 12:58 PM Yeah was happy about that. He had committed to them early and has now shut down all recruitment to solidify Ohio State. Happy for him and hoping his commitment will bring some others. Happy for him, he’s a good kid. Watched him play a lot in high school before he moved out to Cali. 1 Quote
HoosierCat Posted Wednesday at 03:07 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:07 PM Army’s happy, Pumpkie’s happy, Trey’s not happy but Pumpkie thinks he should be and it’s up to him to get happy. https://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2025/04/01/why-bengals-allowed-trey-hendrickson-seek-trade/82765420007/ Sigh. AMPHAR Posted Wednesday at 03:57 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 03:57 PM Trey is limited in his leverage. A holdout gets him nothing, because with Tee/Chase done he's the prime Franchise Tag candidate for next year and maybe afterward. If your Trey, I guess you have to hope the Bengals don't go scorched earth and pull all offers after the draft and call your bluff. If your the Bengals I'd get my price or I'm leaving the possibility open that a team gets frisky during draft weekend and ups the ante. Bottom line for right now there isn't a whole lot of incentive for either party to move before draft day, I guess. 1 Quote
COB Posted Wednesday at 05:56 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 05:56 PM Trey wants to be compensated like an undrafted free agent. Which is exactly what he would be if he had played out the 4 year 60 million dollar deal he signed before the ‘21 season. 1 Quote
TJJackson Posted Wednesday at 10:57 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:57 PM Instead of reading Carnegies "How to make friends and influence others", Katie-Pumpkin read the book "How to make enemies and alienate others" by IP Freely Must be nice to own a business guaranteed to make money no matter how badly you fail as a business person, or just as a person, even 1 Quote

I don’t think either side will go nuclear but if a “frisky” team fails to emerge post-draft this could drag on well into summer. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Thursday at 12:24 AM Author Report Posted Thursday at 12:24 AM I’m really over all this shit with Trey. Pay him, trade him, fuck him, whatever. Just get something done and move the fuck on already. Quote
COB Posted Thursday at 01:21 AM Report Posted Thursday at 01:21 AM Dude went on known Steeler homer Pat McAfee and complained. Said there are aspects he won’t budge on mainly length of deal and guarantees. Does not want incentives. Says he and his wife want to be as humble as possible as Christ-loving people. 1 Quote

Stripes Posted Thursday at 04:02 AM Report Posted Thursday at 04:02 AM That's the dumbest quote I have ever seen from Katie Blackburn, or maybe second to her communication with Whitworth (that one is hearsay). Trey may well need to can it, but STFU Katie. What are you doing. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Thursday at 10:35 AM Report Posted Thursday at 10:35 AM Just NFL business. No need to be upset. Trey will get squared away eventually or maybe traded. He'll realize the going on the McAfee program the "Bengals Cheap" narrative isn't going to go as far as it would have prior to signing Chase/Higgins. Eventually it will revert back to him because just about everybody wanted to return so what's his fucking problem with winning? Hold out gets him no where. Tag is looming. Really nothing to worry about. He's here or they get a boat load of a trade. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted Thursday at 01:32 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 01:32 PM Oh don’t let the “fuck yous” fool you. I’m not upset by any stretch. Just tired of the stupidity. Trey seems to be in a constant state of “I’m underpaid”, which he may be. However he signed the contract and has since had it reworked. Fuck off. Katie obviously still doesn’t understand that while it may in fact be hard to run an NFL football team, you can make it harder when you say dumb shit. So my position hasn’t changed with those two. Just fuck all the way off. Quote
AMPHAR Posted Thursday at 02:31 PM Report Posted Thursday at 02:31 PM I think it works out with Trey. I'd rather have feel good vibe during Training Camp because you give the local scribes a little bit of grey they'll rush to turn it to pure black immediately so hopefully he's traded or extended before July. ArmyBengal Posted Thursday at 09:54 PM Author Report Posted Thursday at 09:54 PM Just do something and be done with it. I’m just sick of the clown show. Quote

You’ve got a lot of nerve talking about a player other than Trey Hendrickson. You must not have heard about the crime against humanity that occurred - bengals front office people “disappointed” him by not giving in to all his guaranteed money, no incentives, 4 year contract demands. Luckily, Trey found a sympathetic ear in Steeler Homer Pat McAfee. McAfee was appropriately horrified, and reacted to Trey’s story of being “disappointed” with a somber seriousness that made it look like investigators from The Hague War Crimes division are looking into this assault on Trey. Trey said he and his wife can’t have kids yet because that disappointing 21 million dollar contract just ain’t getting it!! So stop acting like there are any players in football other than center of the universe, swallower of planets, Trey Hendrickson. 1 Quote
