Week 10: Bengals @ Ravens

I think this game dictates the season. Win, in. Lose, out.

Even 4-6 isn’t “out” in this AFC, but I would no longer have faith.

They need a pass rusher and a CB for this game, now after this game let’s see if they try and get anyone that was rumored. Guess will see what happens. 
 

Either way I don’t know this game is going to be so freaking hard to win, with the defense they have.

They pretty much need to win every conference game and lose no more than 1 more game (11-6) if they expect to get into the playoffs

I dont see them doing anything other than further screwing up our draft position yet again

THIS game is the one which should be viewed as a "must win" in my opinion.

With 7 teams making the playoffs, the Bengals currently sit in 9th behind the Colts despite having the same record.
They are actually 1 game out of the last spot at the moment, but their conference record sucks ass.

While they could still make it if they drop this game, it's more than just getting a "W".
It's beating a very good team that happens to be a division rival.
There's no stat for knowing you are capable of playing and winning at that level.

Losing this game I think results in an absolute crash of the team.
In all honesty, this team is not good enough to beat the Ravens and certainly not on the road in a primetime game.

All that being said, I never count out a motivated Joe Burrow against a team he's very familiar with.

Bruised rib apparently but it sounds like he will go.

As feared All is done. Torn ACL, same one he tore last year.

BJ Hill is iffy with a rib injury. Higgins and Brown still question marks. Charlie Jones still down with a groin so Burton might be out there for punts if he doesn’t fuck up again.

Tough matchup Thursday.  I doubt anyone in here is overconfident, put it that way.  
 

Unrelated - I read that Burton scrubbed all bengals stuff from his social media DURING the game Sunday.  Looks like probably a lost year for that kid, I hope he can collect himself and become productive at some point.

Being "Over" confident would have to start with BEING confident.  That I am not.

Burton is obviously more of a child than I originally thought.
I gave credit to the thought of him training with Housh and him saying Burton was past all that nonsense.
"He's misunderstood" was uttered as well.

Unfortunately for Housh, he no longer gets that benefit from me.
Any player he recommends in the future will now carry a question mark.
Burton cost Housh that luxury with me as a Bengals fan.

I had REALLY high hopes for Burton and was wrong about him.
Still rooting for him to pull his head out of his ass, but agree about the lost year.  Maybe more.
Hope his immaturity isn't terminal.

Lamar didn’t run much in their last game, so maybe he was already dinged up.  

Stop Henry through some miracle, cover downfield through miracle number 2, then we’ll see if Lamar can beat us with his very mildly compromised legs.

To be honest guys we were a duff FG away from beating the Ravens, who also lost to the freaking Browns.  They are in no way unbeatable and Joe has had their number quite a few times.  If Zac's play calling is on point and quite frankly that's something I doubt and if the players can execute effectively I believe we can beat them.  I am actually going to stay up and watch the game in the hope we pull this one out over a divisional rival as I can't stand them.

The Ravens are definitely beatable. Their pass defense has been pretty atrocious all year.

It's basically on the Bengals' defense to be something halfway resembling competent for even one quarter.

It’s not this week but I totally missed the Bengals at Chargers game getting flexed INTO Sunday night football November 17th. The Colts Jets game was slotted and now moved out.

So these guys are not the Raiders, they were dumb enough to give help against Hendrickson, I’m guessing this week somebody is going to help against him. So the the hell steps up nobody else can seem to rush the passer on this team. That’s why I was hoping for some kind of trade with a DL, but that didn’t happen. Somebody needs to step up big time
